Full order of Loaded Seafood Nachos
    Zellina P.

Yum! 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated promptly. Craving a "snacky lunch", we opted for the full-size Fully Loaded Crab Nachos ($30). They did not disappoint! Great crab to chip ratio and not over sauced. Our server was nice and we appreciated the warm conversation from someone we assumed was the manager. We will definitely be back to try other menu items when we're in town!

Shuck It Oyster, great story, good vibes, and even better taste! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Shuck It is located in a market spot in downtown Martinez, super cozy, casual, and fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband and I sat at the bar, were greeted quickly by the staff and shortly after by one of the owners (we didn't know?!). The owner helped us decide or else we would have ordered one of everything on the menu! lol We decided to go with Ceviche, Oysters, cup of clam chowder and the slider trio. We thought this would give us a taste of everything - and we were right! After eating it all we were stuffed and satisfied! The ceviche had a healthy amount of flavor and protein, and when you add the garlic/habanero hot sauce, it is so good! The clam chowder was by far the best! We started dipping the bread and sliders in it! Definitely best we've ever had! Take your basic chowder recipe and amplify with added flavor and seasoning! WOW! We even ordered some to go! The sliders were also fantastic, each with a different flavor, but our favorite was easily the crab slider! We went in thinking the lobster would be the winner, but we were pleasantly surprised! We already want to go back to get a crab melt! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing service, location, and food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We found this using the United Airlines dining app. It's in a small trip mall with a bakery, sandwich shop, and Sushi place. The service was fantastic and the food was great. Full bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great little hang out spot or date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    6 oysters

Really disappointed by this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is located in the little food court in downtown Martinez and just has 6 bar seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came by on Sat and they said they had no warm food at all, I guess their oven/stoves were down so they only had shrimp cocktails, oysters, but also clam chowder, which seems concerning so all I ordered was oysters. Service took longer than I would expect to shuck 6 oysters even though we were the only ones at the bar. The quality was subpar. The oysters of the day were supposed to be from WA but it felt like they gave us a mix of different ones. Worth another try seeing the other reviews but maybe it was just a bad day to go.

    Crab melt. Pretty good.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the ambiance and the genuine warmth with service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Disappointed with lobster roll. It was more of a lobster salad with tons of filler.

Hit the spot on a cold Wednesday. The clam chowder was so tasty and the lobster melt was amazing! The service was so nice and this place is a fun place to eat at. shuck it oysters is one of the many restaurants in this establishment. Lots of alcohol choices and lots of oysters! Nice hidden gem in downtown Martinez.

This place is in a food court, it offers bar seating, and there are open table seating in the common area. You can't and don't need to make reservations. Seating is first come first serve. Oysters are fresh but on a pricier side. $80 for 2 dozens. With tax and tips, at least $100 for 24 pieces. We got there before 7pm, clam chowder is completely out. Cocktail is decent but cost $16 and up. Other food options are also great and affordable. There are pizza, Vietnamese food, and ice cream & cookies. There is also a permanent jewelry place and drinking lounge upstairs for age 21 or above.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fresh tasting seafood among party vibes and friendly staff[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Visited the Market & Main "food court" due to a friend's birthday party at Bentley's bar upstairs for their R&B brunch. The ordering process is somewhat confusing since the menu doesn't tell you that the different sections are actually different restaurants. Fortunately the servers from those restaurants make their way through the bar, but it was hard to catch them given the busyness. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I ended up having to go down to the restaurant counter to order, which worked out since the bar is extremely loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the crab melt, which was generously layered with crab and flavorful. I wished the bread was toasted a little more, but that's just personal preference. The side of seasoned chips tasted homemade and complemented the savory sandwich well. Highly recommended!

    Outdoor bar!

The only place that is open the latest in the market. Also, now that they have an outdoor bar, you can order and they will bring your order out to you which is convenient. The oysters were okay, definitely some were fishy and had parts of shell, but overall not too bad. We shared half order of crab fries which is good warm but it was overloaded with mayo and other sauces that you kind of get over after a few bites. The owner is a lovely woman and such a boss as she owns most of the businesses in the area. It's a tight space so the bar seating is very limited and always packed. But they opened the outdoor with a bunch of tables and there is an upstairs indoor with plenty of seating. 3 stars because the seafood wasn't horrible, but it also wasn't the freshest. Not sure if this would be the first place I order from with other places around the area.

    Lobster roll

Had a great experience at this oyster bar! I ordered a lobster roll, trio burger, a dozen oysters, clam chowder, ceviche, and cocktail shrimp -- and everything was delicious. The flavors were fresh and the presentation was on point. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because a few of the oysters had shell in them, almost everyone. which took away from the otherwise amazing experience. Still, I'd definitely come back soon

Found this place on Yelp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dope little shares restaurants space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dj helped us out cool dude good vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had fresh Washington oyster , Michelada with oyster with ceviche on top amazing but the star of the show was the seafood nacho well done. I would drive all the way out here just for that. Best of luck and we will be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Close your eyes and imagine a place to indulge in good food, crafted cocktails, live music, and fantastic ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can stop imagining now because a place like that exists in Martinez. This market. My partner and I decided to visit this market for date night. The market offers different food options, two fully stocked bars, fresh oysters, and an upstairs lounge to dance it off. The service was top-tier and beyond amazing. I really enjoyed how laid back and social the servers were and how well they were able to adapt to any customer's communication style. I would most definitely make this a routine visit for any occasion.

My lobster milk was pretty good. Clam chowder was tasty and the oysters were OK. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, this place was a nice vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Starting with the Mt. Beautiful Estate Sauvignon Blanc, found this good. It's good, but not great. It's a decent wine but I think there are other more interesting Australian wines out there. The Rabble Rosé from Paso Robles was crisp with just an edge of tart. Like roasted strawberries, if that makes sense. And the Seaglass Riesling from the central coast is now a fave. It's a sweeter wine and a good end to a tasting, for sure. Glad I explored that one. It far exceeded my expectations. The vibe is good. The team is wonderful, caring and attentive, even if their internet went down and they weren't able to process cards quickly. They kept their frustrations focused on the tech and their attention on their customers. And the people who come in - there for a good time. This was our first experience here. We'll be back, for sure!

I was not allowed with my 5 month old baby to have a glass of wine in the patio. I was told there's a "no under 21" rule that apparently includes babies. That honestly didn't make sense to me. this is an infant, not even eating solid food yet. I've been to wineries in Napa with my baby and never had an issue, so this felt unwelcoming. This felt like a made up rule to protect non-mother customers, and Benicia is known for that. Horrible. What made it worse was how it was handled. The waitress(blonde, short hair mid-aged lady) came off rude and said, "no under 21, sorry--unless it's a dog haha," and then told me I could go to the taphouse on the corner. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. I even tried calling afterward to speak with a manager, but no one answered. Overall, it left a really bad impression, and I don't feel comfortable coming back after this.

Unfortunately, the festival did not serve any liquor so we decided head down to the local bar before we enjoy the festival and all the food it had. We walked into the bar, and it felt like the establishment hasn't changed a bit. The ambiance is the dark speakeasy bar feeling. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a super nice bartender who made some delicious drinks! Back in the day there used to be brunch and a bigger food menu but they have stopped that. The buffet I guess was a waste and a lot of food didn't get eaten. They used to have a make your own Bloody Mary bar, but didn't see that either. The menu is on an IPad and it's nice to see the photos of what the every drink looks like. There is an assortment of drinks to choose from. This is one of the bars that actually knows how make drinks! We order a mixture of drinks, from the key lime pie martini, to the spicy jalapeño margaritas with the Tajin rim, to the delicious pear drink! These drinks were made with love! I would definitely recommend this place for drinks, during the evening they usually have a band playing. The only reason why it's not a 5 star is the old furniture... I used to love sitting on the sofas for a cozy feeling but they look pretty beat up now... just makes things look a bit dirty. Our server was doing her best on her own for the entire establishment and we respected her situation. The Gabby's Jolt was merely strong and seemed to be missing ingredients listed on the menu. We had ordered the stuffed mushrooms appetizer which was tasty, the filet mignon entree and halibut entree ( of which we told the server we'd like to have a glass of white wine to accompany it but had to wait until the entree was nearly cold to receive it). We ate two servings of bread an do bitter while we waited for the entrees. The filet was tender and seasoned well in addition to being cooked a bit over medium, had a large portion of spinach and mashed potatoes, and came with the same red wine reduction sauce as the mushrooms which we found a bit odd. The minutely seasoned halibut has to have been the tiniest piece of fish we've ever seen served and only had six small potato quarters and like 6-7 stalks of asparagus with it. Overall, we ate everything because of the small halibut entree, but will most likely not return. I suggest the owners have more than one server on a Friday night, For everyone's sake.

If you're looking for the kind of dinner that makes you want to cancel your other weekend plans…read morejust so you can go back, Baxters is it. Tucked right on First Street across from the bay in downtown Benicia, this place has completely earned its reputation as the town's culinary crown jewel. From the moment you walk in, the warmth is unmistakable -- and it's not an accident. Owners Kenneth Coker and Kevin Shaw built this restaurant to feel like their own living room, and it shows in every detail, right down to the name (a sweet nod to their beloved Fox Terrier). That personal touch translates into genuinely attentive service that never feels stiff or rehearsed. Now, the food. The Beef Wellington is the stuff of legend -- perfectly rendered pastry, a filling that melts before you even chew, and clearly a labor of love from the kitchen. The scallops are seared to that impossible perfection where the outside caramelizes but the inside stays buttery-soft. And if salmon gnocchi in vodka sauce is on the menu when you go, order it without hesitation -- it's rich, comforting, and impossible to stop eating. Even the truffle burger, which almost feels like an afterthought on a menu this elevated, has become a neighborhood obsession for good reason. Cocktails are crafted with the same care as the food -- inventive, well-balanced, and clearly the product of a team that takes its bar program seriously. And if you can snag a reservation in The Speakeasy, the intimate back room, do it. It's easily one of the most romantic, memorable settings for a special occasion in the entire Bay Area. Baxters isn't just a great restaurant -- it's a genuine gathering place, the kind of spot a whole town falls in love with. Whether it's date night, a family celebration, or just a nightcap at the bar, Baxters delivers an experience that's warm, delicious, and utterly memorable every single time.
