Be careful when spending your hard earned time and money here. Cards are over priced. Tonight I stopped by and saw a $24 card priced at $32 plus tax. When I asked the owner if he could price check it on TCG, another employee interrupted and said that they are not allowed to cross check prices with TCG. That was one of many that was over priced. Also, be careful with the "near mint" cards as they do not take centering into consideration. Check for bent cards too as the employee that showed me a card completely bent a "near mint" card when taking it out of the top loader. They offered the guy next to me 70% payout and 80% credit but offered me only 9% credit for my mint cards with near mint centering. Because of the attitude shown tonight, I will not be supporting this business any longer. My advice is to stick to shows where you can buy cards from vendors. They won't try and up-charge you to pay their storefront rent and you won't need to deal with angry cashiers who knew nothing about Pokemon. Not even their names. The owner can be a nice guy. Guy with glasses and bowl cut, black hair, was just not kind. Very standoffish, almost annoyed with us from beginning to end. Spent about $80 on D&D stuff and it was just painful all the way through interacting with him. Even when my wife said "thank you", his response was a terse "uh huh". It's true what the others say about this place. It's has a decent selection and plenty of fun events to play. My group and I enjoy playing magic events here and it is pretty organized. With that being said, the staff here are not very friendly and are distant when you interact with them. They will help you with what you need but will make you seem like you are inconveniencing them. They are strictly business and I don't if I've ever seen any of the employees smile. I've been to many tabletop game stores and can say most employees are friendly and accommodating. This is not the case at this store but fortunately most people come to play with other hobbyists, not with the staff. You'll have a fun time playing your games here. I registered for a pre-release event being run by Bandai and registered on the Bandai website. According to the rules set by Bandai, the first 8 to be elected for a spot must be allowed to play. Now I'm being told by the owner that I won't be allowed to play because they pre-sold the spots and he won't follow the rules Bandai is setting. Bandai even expanded the rules to allow more than 8 people to attend, so both those who registered and those who prepaid him could attend. But he refused that as well. His reasoning was that they have people who play Bandai at the shop and since he already presold them the spots, it wouldn't be fair to them, which is true. But it's especially unfair to those who registered properly. He also said he didn't want to have to refund those who already purchased spots on the side with him, upon looking online you can see they charged 60$ for their own sites preregistration. Of the two times I have been there to play or purchase, the shop has been mostly without players and without a solid selection of singles or games. Additionally, the markup on cards here seems to be well above average for singles, you'd be much better off buying on tcgplayer. read more

They have a variety of games at pretty reasonable prices. They even carry Counter Attack, a super obscure European Soccer (football) board game, which impressed me. Friendly and knowledgeable staff make things run smoothly, and they have a massive variety of accessories, books, painting supplies, minis for Dnd, which makes it my go to for local gaming needs. read more

This was one of several shops I've frequented in the area but I won't be coming back anymore. Shuffle & Cut is a great place to come and play Friday Night Magic -- it's one of the few shops with adequate air conditioning and the start times are reasonable for people who have day jobs. The play space is large and spread out so it never feels too stuffy or crowded. The Limited drafting community is super welcoming to new players and happy to teach them. (It's also the best way to learn and play Magic in my opinion.) Prizing is very generous with store credit being usable toward future events and every participant receiving at least a promotional card. Sadly I won't be returning after spending over $500 on Pokemon cards . I came about 2 weeks ago, and their customer service on Sunday was awfully bad. I wonder if those guys had training at all. I asked to see some of the Pokemon promos they kept in a box and one of the guys told me that he will be "flipping the cards for me." It was so awkward that a customer next to me even laughed that he said that. I mean, are you you showing me the cards or trying to sell me the cards? It's so inefficient as a retail CARD store. I have never been to a card shop where the guy flips the cards for me where I couldn't even see the condition or even touch the card first. I was not there to disorganize your box, or steal, so why so paranoid? Anyways, been there many times and was willing to overpay for great customer service (which I had in the past). Went to Frank and Sons, to sell some of my Magic singles, and the crew working were incredibly friendly and patient, in helping me out. Unlike many of the stalls, their buylist was available at their booth, without me having to ask, which made the entire transaction feel much more transparent than some other experiences with different vendors. First and foremost, OVERPRICED. Some Pokémon cards they were trying to sell for more than twice the actual price. Employee who was working seemed very bothered that I was inquiring about prices on specific cards. Almost like he was at his place of employment and I was a potential paying customer? Lesson learned? POKÉMON FANS BEWARE! They sold me a resealed Alakazam Vbox with resealed vivid voltage packs smh. The box had 2 different types of glue to seal it which is first thing. Next thing is the boosters were extra loose like it was missing a card. Opened gently and saw glue residue, then they had no Holographic. Don't buy here. read more

The value on the cards were also pretty good and asking for a specific card they give you a variety of conditions to chose from. Then there's the service... the first time I came I got a great employee who answered all my questions and gave me the cards I asked for even while the shop was packed with customers. So I decided to come again a few days later and the shop was not packed so i figured I could ask a bit more but the employees this time around weren't rude but made me and my friends feel like an inconvenience and they just seemed like they didn't wanna be there. This place is a local gem! I've taken my three young Pokemon lovers to buy some individual trading cards here. Each time the guys behind the counter are so helpful, patient and kind to my young boys. It's truly an experience for my kids to go in with their money and purchase their favorite cards. Had a bad experience. On Saturday 08/08/2020, I ran in and purchased 3 packs of Double Masters MTG. Paid and dropped off one of the packs to my brother. When I go to open my first pack, the seal breaks open away from the seam. I had not yet peeled the center strip at all. Thought it weird. Opened my second pack to have it break in the same spot, away from the seam before I peeled the seam at all. I contact my brother and ask if anything odd happened. He had the same thing happen. So 3/3 packs broke open at the same spot. I get having a few bad pulls but this was beyond reason. read more

My 16 year old has been asking me for 2 days to take him here to sell some of his cards. We went today and let me tell you how rude the guys are that work there. I get they are running a tournament but when asked if the guy could help he said he had stuff to do too. He was very rude. It was like they didn't have the time of day for us. Bad service. In all my visits to Shuffle & Cut, I have never had a bad experience here. The location itself is in a small shopping center shared by other businesses - with that being said, parking for myself was never an issue. While my main purpose of visits were for Yu-Gi-Oh, other TCG's are sold here (Pokemon, Magic), as well as family board games, playmats, dice, deck boxes, sleeves, etc. All staff here are helpful and never give you that rushed feeling - if you're looking for a specific card that you may not see in the case, they'll search for it to either confirm they have it (with the rarity you are seeking), or advise it is not currently available (most meta relevant cards that are staples in YGO decks like Ash Blossoms, Evenly or Imperm will be extremely difficult to find as they are bought as soon as stocked). If you're looking for cards to bolster your deck, I highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed! read more

I started getting into Magic the Gathering last month, and I came to the brick-and-mortar store twice and their stand at Frank & Sons once. The store is extremely well stocked with all the big TCG packs and boxes (e.g. Magic, Yugioh, Pokemon, etc.) as well as board games! The dudes behind the counter have also always been friendly, especially Tim who is honestly one of the nicest guys I talked to. He helped me procure singles for my EDH deck and was very encouraging. As a new player, it can be really intimidating to talk about cards or build a community, but Tim really helped settle those nerves. Shuffle and Cut is exactly what I want out of a local card shop, and I'm looking forward to having them help build my new EDH deck and trying out one of their EDH tournaments! read more

We came from Covina because I've always had a good experience here, we walked in 45 minutes before closing hoping to grab a handful of magic the gathering cards, knowing that they close at 10 pm, and as we asked the employee for him to pull a couple cards and he said that the server shuts down automatically... and it was 9:15! So you mean to tell me that the server shuts down 45 minutes before closing? It annoys me that they pushed away a customer that was ready to spend. I've worked in retail for 10+ years and spent the majority as a manager. I've never heard of a server shutting down 45 minutes before closing to prevent the business from selling inventory. It was annoying that I had to drive 25-30 minutes to find that this business turned away 3 customers. read more

Disheartened to see all sealed Pokemon product priced over MSRP. They had a Shining Fates ETB listed for $100 when it's currently available for $50 on Pokemon Center. Watched them upsell it to an unknowing individual. This is what contributes to scalping and is everything wrong with Pokemon TCG right now. As an established card shop they should be able to sell at MSRP. read more
