They are located in a nice shopping mall with plenty of parking. A good place to find a little bit of everything from vintage cards to new cards and everything in between I've been searching for a specific Don Drysdale card for a project I'm working on and they had it , at a great price too. Rich was also kind enough to gift me a sleeve of their own penny sleeves which are very nice. I'm not from the area but appreciate a classic hobby card shop where everyone from the community comes to share. If you're just starting to collect or a season pro Rich at Hobby Legends is the guy to see , looking forward to dropping in the next time I'm in Brea and chopping it up with Rich.

Do We Collectibles offered only 70% TRADE Value. I understand every shop has different margins, but I found the offer to be well below what other local shops are willing to offer, let alone trade. I'd recommend shopping around before making a deal here.

While going in a guy was telling people 1 box per person, however, when it was her turn he wouldn't sell to her- changed his mind and said it was 1 per group. Yet, when another one of our friends went in, he was given a 1 box per person. That's extremely discriminatory when those rules were not implemented with other groups who were in the shop. Ended up going to a different shop who was selling the same box set, and they even allowed her to buy four boxes. If this place had limited inventory, they should have been opened about that or stuck to the same rules instead of discriminating and changing them to only my friend while letting the guys buy.

The ambiance can get a bit loud since there are table games happening behind the counter, but it's not really distracting. It actually adds a bit of energy to the place. Body language, eye contact, and tone are lacking. I understand the hobby demographic is not high class, but from the 4 visits I've had, the employees behind the counter show less care and attention. Probably a generational issue, but in business, that doesn't matter. Proper training should be issued. Though I am also sure they would use AI to formulate a "proper" response to any concerns or complaints about what they lack. Value wise: I requested to match or get close to market value from TCG player on product, and they rejected it statong that they dont follow market since they have to make money too "you know what I mean?" This has been a trend on LGS it seems, however one LGS in Artesia/Cerritos met my request despite card/cash payment. I'm pretty sure the script would later be flipped when the market goes up after supply drops with the response of "sorry marketing value is this so we follow that." If you can ignore all that, go for it. Otherwise just look for another store or go to Card shows.
