Disappointing as years ago this place was actually good .... We ordered sesame chicken, house fried rice, chicken teriyaki, fried dumplings and chicken wings. The Sesame chicken breading was thick and doughy. The seasoning was red and odd - unlike any sesame chicken we've ever had. Not good at all. The chicken teriyaki was also red, coated with some type of breading and they used dark meat. No hint of teriyaki. Fried rice was loaded with vegetables and tasteless. Dumplings were extra doughy with little meat. The only edible items were the chicken wings, they had some flavor. No one finished their plates and we threw out all the leftovers. Sorry to have to leave this review however it was that bad. read more

The first two time we thought maybe it was just a bad day, but three times is a pattern! Each time someone in my house has gotten sick off of this food! I'll say that they USED TO be good but as of late the quality of everything has dropped! From food, to service! Inside is dated not much to say there as far as ambiance. This past time ordering food my shrimp roll bag had a puddle of grease at the bottom I couldn't even eat it! The fried chicken wings have been undercooked and the fries soggy. The fried rice was decent but probably the only thing edible from what we had! Needless to say we will not be giving this place any more business. Don't go for convenience because it's not worth it! Their vegetable fried rice with broccoli in garlic sauce is DELICIOUS. You get so much food..at least two servings in this meal for under $8! The employee was really friendly and my food was ready in under 15 minutes. read more

I couldn't stand the thought of the company cafeteria today, so I headed out to see where my wanderings would take me, and I landed here. It's predominately a take-out place with a half a dozen tables featuring all the traditional Chinese food you're accustomed to in a clean and pleasant environment. Lunch specials? They have 29 in the $5 range. Nothing exceeds $5.80 and they come with white or fried rice. No egg roll or soup. All the usuals are represented- General Tso, Chow Mein, Egg Foos, Lo Meins, Pepper Steak, lots of shrimp and pork and beef and chicken. They have a Tofu with veggies and a Mixed Veggies too. I tried # 17 - Curry Chicken With Onion (and green pepper, carrot, bamboo shoots, pea pods, and baby corn). I enjoyed the dish- a very nice mild curry sauce sered with tender sliced chicken and fresh fried rice. A good value at $4.95. The young lady behind the counter was courteous and polite, and she even smiled! That's never a given anywhere anymore. Theyt boast a tyically large takeout menu of 18 "American & Chinese Dish Specials", 114 different appetizer/soup/ rice/chow mein/ chop suey/ lo mein/ sweet & sour/ egg foo/pork/chicken/beef/seafood/chow fun/ moo shi/ and broccoli-mix items, plus more specialties, and dinner combos. For takeout it seems like a good value with good quality. Didn't see anything on their take-out menu about delivery. read more

The best Chinese food place with really good food good services and the place looks great.

Hole in the wall and strictly set up for take out even though there is some seating, food is made with a lot of heart. Always happy with whatever I am in the mood to order. Family owned and the chef works hard and takes pride in all that he makes. Not fancy, just simple American Chinese style, not greasy, fresh ingredients and clean. They have so many regulars with generations going there, it's a family atmosphere. This place was recommended to me by someone who grew up in the area and went to high school over 30 years ago. They love their boneless ribs and Half-chicken. read more

This business has been opened over thirty years! It was only eat-in restaurant at the beginning, because of the business was going down, forced change to take-out restaurant without delivery! So the sauce and food were eat-in restaurant status, but the price is really good! It was family business, so the staffs were really nice and friendly, you can customize what you want without charge extra! The dinning room is pretty cool, during the summer, they open the Air Conditioner all day long. It is pretty cool have lunch and dinner over there! Outside of the restaurant is lots of parking space, and the high way 91 just 15 seconds away, so it's pretty easy come and go. The food is really tasted and enough! 15 bucks want feed you family! This is one of my go to restaurants when I am in that area of CT. There is nothing fancy about this Chinese take-out restaurant but I have always found the food to be satisfactory and above average. There is plenty of seating in case you decide to dine-in. Good solid Chinese American food with some surprises like 1/2 fried chicken with fried plantains. Overall this place is worth a stop and the luncheon specials are very budget friendly. read more

The best Chinese place ever and I've been to a lot of Chinese places in America like NYC, Philly, Ithaca, Washington, D.C. San Francisco. Like most Asian restaurants one meal can be used as two sometimes three. My personal fav will always be General Tso's chicken. Their food is always well cooked and never burned. Most people in Windsor will probably agree with me when I say that this little place is worth it wether you're visiting or moving in. read more

This is one of the few great Chinese restaurants still left in Ct , leading the charge is teddy along with her hard working family . Sure is not a fancy place to those that want to be wined and dined but the food is good!!! Great food for a cold rainy day. The hot and sour soup can bring you back from the grave. Great for takeout, not so great for dining in.

Poor service no air conditioning in the dining room the fried rice was dry and tasteless. The dining room was not clean. And the rest of the meal was subpar I won't be going back.! read more

I live in the area and this is without a doubt a go to restaurant, their pork fried rice is on point.

This place, Shun Cheong (順昌), is sooooo delicious. NO frills, however; better to take out than dine in. I met the friendly and funny staff; they provided big smiles and big jokes. I had the steamed shrimp with vegetables; excellent version of that dish. The white rice has some magical ingredient in it. read more

Don't bother ordering take out here, I have ordered a few times and I have had issues with my order being wrong on 2 occasions now. The person answering the phone barely speaks English and very hard to understand, so when I would order I took the time to do it slowly so there would be no misunderstandings. So tonight was the last straw for me, I ordered a house special fried rice with my order that my wife was picking up on her way home from work. She arrives home and starts serving and says there is no shrimp or meat in this rice, so I immediately make the call to inform them of the error. I explain to the same person on the phone that the rice I ordered was house special rice, and she immediately says to me I ordered pork fried rice, those two items do not sound the same no matter how you say it. On top of that even that was wrong because there was no pork in the rice it was a veggie rice. Be prepared to be disappointed with this restaurant !! read more
