    Rama with beef
    Maureen G.

What a charming, warm and friendly establishment. The staff were very friendly and made you feel right at home. The food was scrumptious! We were hungry missed the pictures of the summer roll and the crab Rangoon but they were both to die for! We both had wonton soup which was bursting with flavors but not at all overwhelming. And we shared a roti canai which also didn't disappoint. We shared a new dish Rama which we had with beef. The vegetables were all fresh and were cooked for our dish as opposed to sitting in a steamer. The dish was very well balanced. Dessert was mango sticky rice. The fact that there was none leftover says it all! Do yourself a favor and try this little gem of a restaurant.

    - Mango sticky rice: mangoes were fresh and I liked the sticky rice was not too sweet! - Karee noodles : yellow curry noodles with carrots, fried tofu and egg Food was flavorful and delivery was quick. Definitely a good casual Thai takeout spot

My partner and I were dropping someone off at the airport and wanted to grab a bite to eat on the way back home. I was so pleased to have found this hole in the wall in Windsor. I loved the homey feel of the restaurant and the friendliness of the employees. The decor was pleasant and it was clean. They place also became packed on a weekday evening by 6pm. We ordered the Drunken Noodle with duck, Siam fried rice with seafood, papaya salad, and Thai iced coffee. I enjoyed the presentation of the dish and taste of every dish. I love when the Drunken noodles are large flat rice noodles that are nice and chewy. The Siam fried rice wasn't too oily and had a nice mixture of seafood and taste. The papaya salad was nice and flavorful with some fresh chewy shrimp. On a side note, I was a little confused with the bathroom. They did not have typical signs gender signs, but of animated characters urinating. The bathrooms are definitely super small and not handicap accessible or larger person friendly. If I am coming back from the BDL airport or in the area I will stop by again!

Pleasantly surprised eating here if the fresh roll and salmon curry special is any indication of the quality here. Both items had the carefully crafted quality about them like the hint of coconut in the peanut sauce in the fresh roll. The salmon was perfectly cooked with a little sear on it. Just delicious!

In town on business and tried Siam Corner for the first time. I ordered the chicken drunken noodles and cucumber salad. The drunken noodles were the best I have ever had before. They are spicy so be mindful of that when ordering. The cucumber salad was perfect too. The salad was fresh and a very nice mix of cucumbers, carrots, chilis and scallions with a slightly sweet and spicy clear sauce. Perfect balance. Service was quick and excellent. Will definitely be stopping by again on my next trip.

I was in the area for an appointment that just so happened to conclude at 11:45am. Took out Yelp and found this little gem. Not a lot of ambiance, but the staff are very nice and the food is yummy as heck!! I ordered the Won Ton Soup and the Pud See Ew. And I was very impressed how flavorful the soup was and the dish was just as good, finished every bite of the slightly sweet delicious noodle extravaganza! I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner!!!

Knew what I was going to order before I even stepped foot in the place. Chicken Pesto Panini. Wish I had asked what else was in it because my gut told me there would be tomatoes and I was right. I picked them out after the fact. Sandwich was good, had it on wheat bread. Did not really fill me up though, even eating the oatmeal cookie afterwards. I also ordered a large beef stew to take with me to work. Ate it cold which I didn't mind. I enjoyed it. Overall, I think if I were to order a chicken pesto sandwich I would personally get it from hot table. Will be back though to try another soup and another sandwich.

If you don't know what you're looking for, they have combos already set up for you on the menu that have no-brainer deliciousness. Also, the soups are so good. I had the cheddar broccoli and I have zero regrets . This is a lot because they were many soup choices. Speaking of choices, if you have never had the Tractor brand of tea and juice combos, it is better than any other thing you're going to get in a store or fridge case. ( think Snapple but with a fresh taste) . There are lots of places to get food in Enfield, but if you are looking for a place to get lunch , and you are working in Enfield, this is definitely the place to try and it's close to where you are, you know it. "And there's fire on the mountain Lightening in the air…read moreGold in them hills and it's waiting for me there" (Marshall Tucker Band) Fire On the Mountain has one of the most unique menus I've ever encountered. Seriously, where else have you ever seen breakfast quesadillas, catfish and grits, cheesecake cornbread waffles, smoked brisket hash, deep fried pork ribs, catfish, mushroom, and alligator tacos, and a Puerto Rican Rice Bowl all happily living in the same menu's neighborhood? And then, the icing on the cake was our server - a charismatic and uber-friendly gent named Bromwell who lights up the room with his personality. He made my list of the five greatest servers I interacted with this year. The restaurant's location is as unusual as its menu. You'll find it occupying the front space at the Suffield Commons Senior Living Apartments! Yup, as you walk through the restaurant and out their back door, you actually enter a common space for the housing complex. The restaurant itself has two dining rooms with booths, tables, and chairs and a bar with dining room chairs. That eclectic menu is chock full of breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices with Mexican and barbecue flairs. We were there for lunch and ordered two things. The first was an enormous Cheese Quesadilla ($9.35) with pork ($3.12) on a grilled flour tortilla served with sour cream and pico. It was a thing of beauty, cut into five thick wedges loaded with smoked pork. Our second item was a Caesar Salad (Half size for $6.23) with a side of smoked brisket ($9.36). I passed on the croutons and Caesar dressing in lieu of barbecue sauce as my dressing. I gotta tell you, the brisket was GREAT, a big serving of tender and juicy smoked beef cut into four slabs that must have totaled close to a half pound. We loved everything about Fire On the Mountain and agreed that we need to return for a proper breakfast when we are out that way or making a morning airport run. PRO TIP The restrooms are located in the housing complex's common space I described earlier/ Just exit the restaurant by the door in the rear dining room, and you're just about there.

Apparently iced tea is a no no to order in the fall or winter in small town Connecticut. I chose their 14oz prime ribeye for what seemed to be a good price of only $40. It comes with the mixed veggies (Broccoli. Carrots. Squash) and potato of the day (homemade mashed potatoes). The steak was a bit chewy and did not seem to be a typical prime cut of beef I am used to getting back in Texas. Maybe prime beef in Connecticut isn't as good quality, who knows. The homemade bread that comes out before the dinner is good but hard. It's also very garlicky. Service was a bit awkward. Our waitress came by halfway through and said she was checking to make sure we were well taken care of...but my tea was almost empty and she just walked off and didn't say she'd refill it. I eventually had to flag her down a few mins later to ask for a refill. At fancy restaurants, they just fill it without you asking. She also messed up my colleagues meal. He asked for no squash and the chef seemed to put extra squash on his plate. She should have remembered that he didn't want squash. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I just expected more from a fancy restaurant. You pay a little more for better food and better service, but we didn't get that here.

Chopt is a restaurant chain with salads, wraps, and bowls that are made and tossed to order. Think of Subway or Chipotle where they build your salad in front of you. When we walked in, the restaurant wasn't busy and very clean. I loved the natural and modern vibe. The menu consisted of salads, warm bowls, and wraps with options to create-your-own and let your creative mind run wild. We ordered ready made creations from their menu. I ordered the Spicy Sonoma Caesar Salad, my husband got the Mediterranean Tahini Bowl, and my mom tried their seasonal Sweet Peach Burrata Bowl. The staff were very nice and helpful. They made sure everything looked good to you before they finished. I liked that they tossed the salads in the dressing and asked how much (lite, regular, a lot). There were like 20 dressings to choose from. My salad was huge and had a lot of toppings. It had a lot of chipotle chicken, spicy pickled peppers, avocado, and yummy parmesan crisps. I liked that there weren't croutons. The romaine and kale were fresh and crisp. This salad did bring the heat because the dressing had a kick. My husband and my mom enjoyed their bowls too. I liked the concept of Chopt. It's just a bit pricey, but I understand why since they have so many fresh ingredients. If I'm craving a fresh salad, I would visit again.
