Great takeout place. Been here a few times now, quick friendly service, good quality, good sized portions. Excellent dumplings (I can't resist those).

I ordered takeout today, from Yang Zi Jiang (Kelley Road in Vernon), and the Kung Pao Chicken is amazing! Lots of yummy sauce, chicken, carrots, a little celery, cut up pieces of baby corn, water chestnuts, tiny pieces of bell pepper (and I normally don't like bell pepper, but it didn't have much), and peanuts. I like it a little spicy. When I was ordering, the woman on the phone told me it's normally a little spicy, so I told her to make it extra spicy. I've found that their "spicy" dishes usually are not spicy at all. The "extra spicy" was perfect, and was really "medium spicy", not too much spice. When I picked up my order & got it home, it was still piping hot (the temperature). Also, I want to mention that they are taking the pandemic & customer's safety very seriously. When you walk in, there is an entire plexiglass wall, from the ceiling all the way flush with the counter, & it goes all the way across too. There's a baseball size opening at the bottom of the plexiglass for you to hand the cashier your cash or credit card. Then, when your order is ready, it's placed outside a little door to the left. So, if you like Kung Pao Chicken, theirs is much much better than any other Chinese restaurant in Vernon, Rockville, or South Windsor!

Our regular (5 star) Chinese restaurant is closed on Sundays and we've heard good things about Yang Zi Jiang so we finally tried it! Very good! Better than all the other places in the area we've tried but we still prefer our "go to". 2nd place is honorable though and we will order from here again. We kept it simple; egg drop soup and 2 combination dinners shrimp w/ mushrooms and beef & broccoli. Shrimp were fairly large and cooked well with nice firm texture. Beef was tender but maybe pieces could have been a little bigger. Rice was good but maybe not made same day (?). Very good American Chinese food with quick service!

Great place to eat! The food portions are excellent for the price and the online order is easy since I can pick from items recently ordered.

The best Chinese food I have ever had. I recommend everything on the menu. This is the first thing my Grandkids ask for when they come over.

This was THE Chinese restaurant in the area back in the day. I just saw my review from 8 years ago…read moreand this is my first time back since! Well....they haven't updated the inside at all and it looks worn and tired. Gone are the laminated menus and the paper "takeout" menus are on the tables. We came at 4:00 and there was just one other party eating. The service was fast since it was empty. One of our servers spoke no English at all I thought that was funny because we complimented her on their wide crispy noodles (THE best around) abd she thought I was complaining so called someone else over. :) We absolutely love their noodles and dipping them in mustard or duck sauce. We ordered egg drop soup and egg roll. Both good! Next we had a sizzling beef & shrimp dish poured onto the sizzling plate in front of us. Neat. The beef was breaded which surprised us. The dish was good with lots of the brown oyster sauce so good over rice. We ordered house lo mein, but got shrimp lo mein instead. Lots of shrimp and good size but we had shrimp in our other dish so it was repetitive and we were looking forward to house. We told them but got a blank state. All good. We didn't eat much of the Lo Mein. There was a wasp buzzing around our table abd head the entire meal. Made it a tad uncomfortable. Finally it landed on the window next to our table abd I killed it with my linen napkin. Finally we could eat in place but awkward. The food was ok with the soup and noodles my fav. The service was very good but the place is dumpy inside abd that wasp ruined. Still, decent Chinese food so 3 stars it is!

However, just looking around the restaurant, felt a little blah, depressing. Looked like they had a nice takeout business going, so I'd try that in the future.

A better than expected all you can eat locale…read more Came here because it was close by and they recently revamped their dine in to include boba tea and an all you can eat sushi and Chinese menu. Decided to give it a try and see how things turned out. Inside is clean and decorated well. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We told them we were doing the all you can eat, and got our ordering menu. Interestingly, they included boba tea as an option on the all you can eat menu. so we got drinks to try. They were a little sweet but tasty. We ordered a smattering of bites, with the idea that the plates would be tiny and we could try a bunch. The portions were smaller, but still very massive. There was many times we would take bites and it would look like nothing was eaten. You need to make sure you order light when picking your choices. The bites were seasoned well, tasty, and plentiful. The highlights being the garlic shrimp and the pepper tuna tataki. The sushi rice is seasoned correctly, and the fish was fresh. The taste of the rolls was a little bland, but soy and the wasabi aoli helped out. They do have the stipulation of food waste costing more, so the mass amounts of food did give us pause. The server assured us that there would not be any charges as they figure out how to portion. But it did limit our ordering. For the price, the quality is actually pretty good. It's pricy for the area, but you're not going to go hungry. If you get a chance to try them, they are a great option for a meal. It's not worthy of a trek, but versus other restaurants of that style you would be hard pressed to find better.

Best Chinese restaurant in the surrounding area! The…read moreeggrolls are perfect, not too greasy and very tasteful, the sesame and the orange chicken flavorful, white breast chicken meat, not stringy overcooked chicken. The boneless spareribs perfectly seasoned. And I love their pork fried rice, it's more like a sticky rice, which has some denseness to it. It's a takeout spot, so as it seems every Chinese restaurant the order is always ready when you get there, not much waiting. Reasonably priced and our go to place now for Chinese!
