I paid and received for very nice shutters. They were very attentive and nice shutters. Service was great up to install. But once it was installed.,,,, I needed help after for two broken shutters. Than the response was there a service charge to come out. I said ok should I wait till you're in my area is that the best thing to do. Their response was pretty rude. He said "I'm doing you a favor" Ok well when can I expect someone to come. He said in a week. No one showed up. No follow up call. I get it you have my money. Unfortunately I wish there was such a thing as customer service even after you have my money and the shutters were installed. Too bad. I was disappointed. They were so nice in the beginning. Make sure you get the name right it is clear as day on their truck the shutters are not cheap, they are just as high quality as any other business in town. The price is cheaper than any other blind and shutter place in town. The gentleman showed up about 15 minutes early since there was no traffic. He was very nice even woth both our dogs barking at him from the back yard. He said he had two of his own and they are just doing their job. He was in and out in under two hours doing all the main windows up and down stairs. We got blackout shades for the bed rooms and the regular shades for all the living room windows. We had an amazing experience with Shutters Cheap. They came out quickly when we called to get an estimate. After the shutters arrived, they called and scheduled a next day install. The installers were great and respectful. We have a crawling baby and they made sure they had shoe covers on and never walked outside with them on. We loved that they came prepared. However, the shutters installed were the incorrect style. At the initial meeting to provide an estimate and get measurements, I think we just had a miscommunication with Judy about what style of shutter we were wanting. The installers actually called Judy and talked to her while they were finishing up installing the ones they had. Judy reached out immediately and asked what I was unhappy with. We spoke about what I was unhappy with. I was nervous to say that we were so unhappy with so many of the windows, but she was extremely easy to work with and was just trying be sure I was happy with our purchase. She went over my order and worked with me to ensure we were gonna re-order the right style and orientation for the windows we were unhappy with. She called back her manufacturer and re-ordered 7 windows for us that were the style we were wanted. Upon receiving the new shutters, Judy reached back out and scheduled a next day install. Her installers were great again & the right shutters were provided! Judy also handled a majority of the payment for the new shutters provided. She really worked well with us and we are so grateful that she was so quick to rectify the problem. We love our shutters from Shutters Cheap. We moved out to vegas from California. We initially ordered shutters before our house was completed and paid an additional $900 to have them expedited. Initially I though it was a lot but I gave in we needed them. They came as expected. We then needed an additional shade after the fact and maybe because now we were just ordering 1 we did not get the service we initially did. We paid $500 for 1 shutter that took more than 2 months to get since we did not pay additional money to expedite it. This company also installed a cheap plastic one that does not match the original ones we ordered. Communication is poor after install. I'm really happy with this company!! I was a little iffy based off their reviews but I had such a great experience from start to finish. It looks like a lot of the negative reviews were from years ago and about time frame but the owner that came and did our consultation was upfront about how long it would take to receive the product and it wasn't an issue. I was really impressed they were able to do same day consultation too, hours after submitting a request I had someone at my house taking measurements and gave me a quote right away. They have a section on their website too that tell you the status of your order so you can always check and see where your shutters are and an eta. The installation was super quick as well. Approximately 3 weeks ago, I had Shutters Cheap install shutters in my house. I had two sliding glass door shutters installed in the house. When the owner(Ed) came over to the house for the initial meeting, we asked him what type of shutter design goes on the sliding glass doors and he was very brief about it and said all of the companies that make the shutters use one design. He did say that there is a shutter door but that is really expensive and that we didn't need it. Ed told us that the sliding glass door shutter is designed to go back and forth and looks good, so we went with his word. When the shutters were installed, there was no bracket holding the two sliding glass door shutters together, to prevent them from swaying back and forth. This design is absolutely horrible as the door hits the door handle and is very unsteady. I asked the installer about this issue and he told me the following; they use to install brackets, but had problems damaging the floor so they do not install them anymore. He told me that he has installed the bracket several times but does not have any of them with him. The installer advised me to call Ed and he will get a bracket and the installer will come back and install it for me. I called the company on the install date and was told that she had to contact the owner and would get back to me. A week went back and I called again, but no one answered so I left a voicemail. No one contacted me so I recalled and spoke to the same lady. I was told that she talked to him and Ed advised her to tell me that they do not install them. I told her that I was not happy with that decision. She told me that she would have Ed contact me. Another week went by and Ed finally called me back. I told him about the situation and he said that there is nothing he can do about it. He told me that he has never installed a bracket for that shutter and that his installer was lying. There is no doubt in my mind that it is Ed who is lying. There is no reason or benefit for the installer to lie to me. Ed told me that I could get a closet bracket that might work, but that is all he would tell me. This is absolutely horrible customer service as Ed should have explained to me how the sliding glass door shutters actually operate. There is no doubt in my mind that Ed could rectify this problem by installing the bracket that his installer had told me about. I even said that I would sign a waiver protecting his company in case my floor was damaged. The shutters do look really good once installed, but this problem really makes it hard for me to recommend them since I feel that I was mislead ****Please look elsewhere if getting sliding glass door shutters installed. Ed sold my wife a solar screen and multiple shutters and shutters for sliding doors on multiple properties, the only thing he guarantees now is: poor craftsmanship and no customer service. Once you pay for the items and they install them, they will try to hide shoddy installs, crooked installs, damage to shutters and sliding door shutters and spackle the cracks and try to hide their poor install quality. It seems that the installers don't own or know how to use a level and take no pride in installing the product properly, it's all about getting the job and getting paid, Once that happens, getting them to come out and correct issues turns the office staff into really rude people, they will hang up on you, or at the most they will say "We will send someone next week" They you call them and they screen their calls and ignore you. if you still want service, they may pick up and hang up or are rude, specially Ed and his wife (the secretary) then feigns not being able to understand English. It's really a shame, it really is, Because the original owner used good customer service and good shutter craftsmanship, if any issues arose, he would take care of it. Ed is all about getting the job and getting paid. If anything happens, he says, I don't make them, I just install them. That's only after you have paid him. If you have any issues with the install or the shutters themselves, the slats start falling apart they will skirt their guarantee and start making you feel like they did you a favor or you should be OK with being ripped off. Save your money and look online for another company. While their prices aren't astronomical as fancy show rooms, and some others, there are other sellers in town and online, you can pay $80 more per shutter, but you won't have the inept install and lack of service. He's counting on people not reading or dismissing low reviews. Most people just won't buy from him, but there are more suckers to be had in Vegas. So, Buyer beware!!!! read more

The install is scheduled to be completed on 5/18/2018, so I will update once complete. The pricing is on par with the rest, but the superior materials and design is what sold it for me. We ordered shutters for our French doors on 4/12/2018. As of this date, 7/30/2018 we still do not have our shutters. I called Ed and told him we want to cancel the order and he threatened to put a lien on our home. He then called us back and said we would have them in 2weeks. I told him that is not possible since they are still in production in China. I demanded a refund of our $700 deposit, he refused and said we should have read the contract we signed, which states that the contract is noncancellable at anytime, for any reason. We are contacting an attorney for the return of our $700 deposit. We will never do business with this company again, nor will we refer them to our neighbors or friends. I had the same experience as another reviewer in regards to slow, slow, slow time for completion. Although I was initially quoted 8 weeks for completion, It ended up taking 6 months from order date to final installation. The delay was at first due an installer making an error in measurement of the windows, and then the wrong stain color. Once the proper size and color shutters arrived and were installed, they were beautiful. The price is reasonable compared to competitors and the final outcome is very nice so it may be worth the wait and or the chance that yours will only take 8 weeks if no mistakes are made.
