The product and price were very good, an installation was earlier than planned, which was a nice surprise. installation was completed in less than a day. They offered us a cash price so we saved on the total project. We had to ask the installer to return to fill gaps in the caulked joints which was completed. however, we were not happy with the finished sides on the shutters installed on our two slider doors. from the side nails used to attach the shutters to the existing frame show. we asked the installed about this and it was explained that as there was an existing frame there was no way to avoid this. We thought that a small strip of pvc or wood could cover this up and suggested to the company. We wouldn't have thought this would be a problem, but the company never returned calls or messages after that. It's not blatantly showing when looking at the shutters straight on, but is very visible from the sides. We aren't sure what to believe, and the fact that they walked away from this tainted our experience. So while the product and value were good, we couldn't understand why this could not have been addressed to a better standard. There is nowhere to post a photo but we would welcome contact again with a view to correcting this. read more

WHERE DO I START... Danny and Trevor are really good at making you feel comfortable...they even have a few jokes that'll make you laugh... but their customer service SUCKS...our shutters are beautiful but this is where it ends... First of all I spent $8500 on 23 windows which is about $369 per...BUYER BEWARE ...get an ITEMIZED invoice, not some bullshit grand total added up on a calculator by Trevor ....I called Shutters for Less about a week after install for a couple reason...I was charged $10 per window to remove old blinds...I ended up changing my mind and removed them myself a couple weeks prior so the install team didn't have to take them down OR remove them from the premises... I didn't cover one window and was told "if you change your mind we can get it ordered for you" which to me seemed painless... well I changed my mind after install... And lastly never received a call to inquire about my satisfaction of the install. I started our conversation with a need to order covering for the one window. ..Danny asked for measurements which I gave...19''x29'' Danny put me on hold for a second and came back with a $750 quote... FOR ONE WINDOW... after I spent $8500 I inquired about my refund for the removal of my blinds (a measly $230) and was told I was not charged for removal... I explained I absolutely was charged and to have Trevor call me... which he did ...here's a screenshot of voicemail he left and a shot of my invoice... His remark of "of course we take down old window covering, how else would we put up new shutters" is a childish, unprofessionally lame statement... his remark "the $10 fee is something OTHER companies use to increase the profit, we don't play that game" bro you ABSOLUTELY play that game... you charged me ...you added it in.. my bad for not getting an itemized invoice! When I explained I needed shutters for 3 high windows he wanted me to give him approximate measurements because I might not qualify for the sale. Secondly; I went to measure the 2 windows as he asked, rudely interrupts with "i got to go" while i was telling him the measurements and hangs up.
