Damage to window frame after removing the existing Blinds

I contacted this company in September 2025 for shutter pricing, but was introduced to Zebra Blinds, which I ordered instead. I put down a deposit of slightly less than half and planned to install within a few weeks. Unfortunately, due to other renovations at my home, the installation was pushed back until mid December. I was initially concerned when Peter asked for the remaining balance of the job despite the fact that the installation was not complete. I hadn't even received the blinds yet the first time he asked for the full balance. I was asked for the full balance before the job was completed twice more. When I agreed to pay a portion of the remaining balance by Zelle despite the fact that he hadn't installed the blinds, he asked me to pay to the name of a woman I'd never heard of and who was not associated with his business. Fortunately for me, my bank wouldn't let the Zelle payment go through. I informed Peter that I would be paying with a credit card, and he twice asked for my credit card number over the phone so he could write it down. I knew this is an unsafe practice, so I told him I wouldn't give him my credit card number over the phone and asked if there was a secure portal where I could pay, but he said he didn't have one. I asked him to send an invoice, but he did not. I even asked him his last name three times, but he did not tell me. I was concerned about being pressed to make full payment before the job was completed. When I went to the property inspect the blinds, I discovered that he had removed my old blinds and damaged the window framing. I had visited the property the day before he began work to inspect the completed work of another contractor, and there was no damage to the window framing. He denied causing the damage, but demanded full payment before completing the job. I told him I was uncomfortable with paying him before he finished the job. I was very disturbed because he did not ask me to make payment to his business name, he asked for cash (Zelle), and he did not even give me his last name. I canceled the job and made arrangements to return the blinds to him. He was extremely rude and threatened me. I did not request a refund because I simply did not want to interact with him anymore. I told him he should be ashamed of himself for taking advantage of seniors.

You can tell he really knows his stuff and cares about getting it right. And he provided me with an affordable option that competitors couldn't beat! Nathan handled the install and was just as fantastic. He was super respectful of my home, and did an incredibly clean, precise job. The finished product looks SO good -- sleek, clean, and exactly what I envisioned (maybe better, actually). Both Peter and Nathan were friendly, professional, and clearly take pride in their work. Sunout was referred to us by good friends. Peter has been prompt in answering questions, follow up, and transparency with price quotes and timing. He has be communicative through out the process. Installation was done timely and very professionally. We will also be having more work done with them, getting Solar Screens for outside of the windows. Thank you!!

Faded screens that are under the 10 year warranty!!

Peter R. Deon I was your customer and he spoke with Brandon Miller on September 1 2023! They went back and forth over the 10 year warranty coverage for the bad screens! To no avail this was not rectified due to the Suntex material that was not replaced!! We have the contract THAT you did NOT HONOR! Sent pictures of the contract with the warranty! Through Text! And he responded that he would not honor the warranty!! If you would like! I can post the text and the contract!! Rather than use your company again!!! He chose another reputable company!! So start honoring your contracts!! BAD BUSINESS!!

My husband and I wanted to have solar screens installed on our house and we found Sunout through Yelp (right in time before the start of the brutal Vegas summer heat). Peter (business owner) came to our house to give us an estimate. He also went over different colors and designs for our solar screens. We had estimates from a few different other places, but ultimately decided to go with Sunout due to Peter's excellent customer service and reasonable prices. They are highly rated and have been in the business for a very long time. Peter told us it would be two and a half weeks to order the solar screens, but they had arrived in half the time. Installation took about 30-40 minutes for ten windows (including the small window in the master bathroom which is often overlooked). We highly recommend Sunout and would use them again!

This company is insane. Save your time and contact other window coverings. The owners is very rude and lack understanding.

Promptly responded on Labor Day weekend. Came over and removed the Window Screens, came back on the 6th, cleaned up the windows and installed the new screens. Pricing was consistent with the effort and materials, will definitely use their services again.

We originally used another company that has since gone out of business. They referred us to SunOut and Peter has been able to help us a number of times. He matched products we had already installed to complete the previously unfinished job, as well as has been able to fix issues left behind by the other company. With a quick response and timely service - we've been very pleased and will continue to use SunOut for our indoor and outdoor blind/screen needs!

This has been an okay, yet a little disappointing experience with positive resolve in the end…read more Having seen the other reviews on this company, I had higher expectations that things would be customer focused and efficient. I called on a Friday night close to closing time to see if I could schedule with them to get an estimate on some window solar screens. Ben wound up calling me back to let me know he can come by on Monday morning to get me an estimate. He came on time at 9am to get measurements and provided me a quote thereafter. That initial meeting was the only pleasant part of this experience because the communication after I made the half payment was horrid. Ben mentioned that he would be in another country on a trip the following day after the estimate was provided, but let me know that in two weeks the product will be ready and installed. Two weeks passed and I never received any follow up regarding our install. I also never received the digital receipt and invoice I was told I would get for the payment I made so I made sure to keep the text confirmation to him directly along with my payment detail on my end. I followed up with the company and called three times to speak with someone regarding my installation and product. I received no call back all day and called again the day after. This was when two weeks had already passed. I texted them on their business text line thereafter when I received no follow up. I had to text them twice for me to hear back from Juan (JD) who explained that he was in charge of things while Ben was out of the office in Indonesia. When I expressed my frustration with the fact that no one has contacted me regarding the product and installation, he said "do you want me to help you out or not?" That response was incredibly not empathetic because I was expressing my frustration that it took me asking them 5 different times regarding the service to get any feedback. He connected me with Caesar who was the one doing the installation. Caesar contacted me saying that he would be at my house Thursday to do the install. Thursday, he calls me again to say the product will be in after 330pm so he will have to move the installation to Friday. Caesar said he would be at my home by 9am, but no communication at all till after I called and texted after 910am to receive a text from him saying he will be 30 minutes late. Despite the lapse in communication, Caesar and Miguel both made the ending result of this experience better. They were both polite and took their time to make sure everything was aligned. Both of them deserve 5 stars alone. Aside Caesar and Miguel, communication has honestly been quite bad with this company and the way it was handled when I followed up was quite rude and lacked empathy for the frustration. No client should ideally have to contact the company various times to be acknowledged for the job to follow through. Price for everything was fair, I just wished the customer service was better. Currently, still waiting for an invoice record since the company has not provided that after I tried to call again multiple times to make final payment. I know with travel and everything factored that it wasn't all one person's fault for the horrible communication, but the service just wasn't what I expected because Ben seemed to really care when I met him for the initial estimate. I understand delays, but I had to re-explain the project to Juan (JD) and Caesar because Juan (JD) didn't even know who I was and addressed me as another client named Camila. The whole process after initial estimate was a headache because the staff wasn't prepared and had I not called or texted to follow up multiple times, my project would have been even more delayed. Juan made "promises," he didn't intend to keep because Gina from the office line called saying he never intended to send over the invoice today and that Ben would be the one sending over my warranty and invoice info. Not a great impression of the company as a whole and I am still waiting for the invoice and warranty details. In the end, however, I have to say Ben is trustworthy for his product quality and escalation service. He contacted me as soon as he touched down and provided me with what his staff could not. I know things fell in the communication pipeline when he was away, but I appreciated his urgency to fix the issue.
