I just "discovered" this place recently and am glad I decided to give it a shot. I order online using the Yelp app and then pick it up at the drive through window. You get a lot of food and even some free heated chips with salsa. The food is pretty good and they have a wide selection. I haven't ate inside yet so I can't​ say how that experience is. read more

Food was good as usual but the seRice sucks big time tonight. There in only 2 other people at tables and 4:30pm and the food we ordered was super easy and it took over 30 minutes to come out then the guy didn't even bring a plate or tortitas for the fajitas. Once he brought the tortitas they were flower not corn like we ordered. I had to ear them as he never came back. We had to raise our hands to get his attention to get the bill. My wife was in the mood for fish tacos. Si Senor was the closest restaurant with this item. The front of the restaurant has a large banner announcing happy hour from 3 pm to 7 pm. The exterior of the building seems very Mexican. The lady at the drive through was very courteous. The order of fish tacos came with two fried tacos, rice and veggies. The rice and veggies were tasty but the fish in the tacos was very disappointing. I'm not sure what kind of fish they use for their tacos but it tasted like dirty sewer fish. I also ordered two regular flans and one horchata with no ice. The flans were very delicious but my complaint was the small size of the horchata cup. To be fair the horchata is made from scratch and it was very good. I'll like to try some of their other food items but not more of those nasty fish tacos. read more

This place use to be my favorite. But as the years have gone on the portions have gotten way smaller and the prices have gotten bigger! The food's quality isn't the greatest anymore either. I hate leaving bad reviews but I just want to give a heads up to people before going because it's ridiculously expensive. A two item combo plate is $17.99 and a three item is $18.99. And that is probably the cheapest thing on their menu. I will say they do have a couple of really sweet servers there though. read more

We went here once before and it wasn't bad so we figured we'd go back for the buffet another day. Went back today and not going back again. The buffet only had 4 items today. Rice, beans, potatoes, and Chile Colorado. My teenagers didn't want that so my little ones had that. When we got waited on my son asked what's on the nachos? The waitress said I don't know it should say on there. The menu didn't say. He ordered it anyway with no sour cream. It arrived with sour cream. We had to ask for more chips and salsa and also ask for silverware. The steak I had tasted old and bland. In total we spent 75 dollars for food no one was happy with. We should've know while waiting for our table, there was another diner asking to speak to a manager and she ended up getting free food. We just paid our bill and left. read more

I went for lunch today it was my first time. I had heard such great things about their chili rellanos. Upon arriving I was very pleased by the cleanliness of the restaurant and the size it even has a drive through and lovely out door patio. The bar is nice and there's a TV. The waitress was so sweet I had the chicken flautas and a chili rellano. It was all delicious. However when we were about to leave an unhappy customer decided to scream at the server/manager at the top of her lungs being very verbally abusive. She didn't seam To have issues with her food until it was time to pay the bill. It made for uncomfortable atmosphere. I was disgusted by her hopefully next time I go back-and I will go back that doesn't happen. Great job si señor! read more

Pretty good place to come and eat. The service is typically very good, and though i have never had it i know they offer a buffet at lunch during the week which seems to be very popular. I always stick with either fajitas or cheese enchiladas, both of which are tasty. The two parts i like the best are one, they are located right next to the airport where I work so it's nice having a spot right there to go when you are short on time. also, they have a drive through, and they make the food pretty quickly too. Dining at this place is like being a contestant on Let's Make a Deal. You choose combo #3 for your lunch (choice of 3 items) and hope for something spectacular. You get your plate, dig in, and get a Zonk. Boooo... My three item combo consisted of a chicken taco, pork tamale, and chicken enchilada. Taco was soggy, bland, and topped with lettuce. The tamale was all masa with little meat. When I asked for a red sauce for the tamale, the server brought out this orange cream sauce; definitely not red sauce. Enchilada was luke warm and lacking heat. In general, the entire meal lacked flavor and heat. The chips and salsa were good - the chips were freshly fried. Service was spotty. We had different servers bring us our food and the servers walked past our table a few times without bothering to check on our table. We had to track down our server to get our check. When she handed it to us, she was on the phone. Serving 101: It's NOT ok to be on the phone while on the serving floor - ever. Won't be coming back for lunch but, I won't rule out happy hour. This little joint has a nice little drive thru and plenty of seating on the inside. They are very close to the airport and we tend to head that way when we are already on that side of town. Their corn chips are always fresh and tasty and my husband loves their salsa. So far we have enjoyed the food we've ordered and this is one of the better mexican restaurants in town. I recently discovered their tacos which are amazing! We only go less because it is on the complete opposite side of town for us. Had a bite to eat here yesterday. I was with a group of friends and when we arrived about 6:30 in the evening. Upon entering there was nobody there to greet us. We waited and a server came by we told her friends were there and gave a name and she directed us where to go. The place was clean and nicely decorated. We were in a section all by ourselves, which was nice. The waitress came by took our drink order, I ordered a cucumber margarita which was good but had little flavor. We waited for the rest of our party before ordering. I have to say after a while we finally got our food order in. When the food was delivered, one in our group never got served. My plate which was a Chile relleno al la carte. It was luke warm but I had not eaten all day so I did eat it. One other guest had asked for guacamole and no sour cream. Which on her plate was sour cream and no guacamole. When she asked the waitress about it, the waitress gave some spill about the cost of avocados. It was brought to my attention one in our group still had not got her food but the rest of the table had been served. I just wasn't very happy with how things went. I must add that the guest that didn't receive her food was made food and was put in to go containers since they messed up. So she was happy they gave her to free dinner entrees to compensate her. We all paid our bills and we left. Honestly the food was decent, service slow but it's fair. My 3 star view is because of the things that occurred. But maybe sometime in the future I may return and give it another chance. read more

What a great find! The beautiful fountains and exterior landscape invite you in, then the clean and pretty decor make you feel comfortable. Our young waiter was friendly and very accommodating. We ordered Micheladas with dark beer, oh my goodness they were fantastic! Then the Chorizo and queso fondu appetizer.... WOW. I had arguably the BEST steak fajitas in Bakersfield. Since moving to Bakersfield, I've decided to take on the labor of cataloging the food establishments that Kern county has to offer. With it's interesting mix of American diner and Mexican cuisines, Bakersfield is sure to turn up some interesting bites... Or at least that's the hope. I start my task at Si Señor. The major draw for this place is how nice it looks on the outside (relative to it's neighboring buildings). The place even takes up it's own little block so it has plenty of parking and a drive-thru to boot. The inside however was nothing spectacular some patrons complaining about the heat. It was pretty empty when I came in, but it still took about 15 minutes after setting down my menu for a server to take my order and another 25 minutes for my food to arrive. The small bowl of tortilla chips and salsa were a nice but predictable touch. When my food arrived, I wasn't impressed with the presentation at all (hence no picture). I ordered the Burrito Dinner (carnitas) which came with Mexican rice, refried beans, and a spoonful of pico de gallo. The burrito itself was just a stale tortilla (since it cracked and didn't roll properly) surrounding roasted pork. I will admit the pork was pretty well seasoned, and the food didn't taste bad at all since I finished the whole plate, but I was hardly impressed by anything. Hopefully my future dining adventures will yield pleasant surprises, but for now Bakersfield, you need to step up your food game. This place has great food and the best customer service. My family and I have eat here several times over the past 10 years and even though the food is always great . I never really write reviews but this time I am compelled to share my experience. Twice now I have had this family restuarant go out way of their way to fix an issue and make things right even when it is not their fault. You hardly ever see great moral standards and quality customer care like this anymore. Everyone seems to be out for themselves these days. But this place is a step above. First time eating there and LAST time. I shared a bowl of albondigas soup and a dish called ay caramba (grilled chicken breast, skirt steak -I think and 3 pieces of shrimp) with my bf we also had guacamole. The meat was placed on a slimy piece of cactus with rice beans and a pile of wilted lettuce. I took ONLY one bite of chicken, one bite of steak and a few spoons of soup all of which were beyond disgusting, we had a party of 6 and we ALL left disappointed....
