The seafood is served in a bag and steams in the delicious sauce. This is how it is traditionally served.

A good reviewer admits when they have made a mistake. They are also wise to try a place a second time. I am going to do both. Turns out the first time I ordered here I did not order Bonchon style chicken. They offer Korean Style Bonchon Chicken and the wings we all know and love with many different sauces. Today I actually ordered Bonchon Style and thought it was fabulous. We know them as Wing Dings but they were much better than that. They were fresh, juicy, crispy and not overly salty. They have no sauce, so feel free to douse them however you choose. Siracha anyone? I also gave the head on shrimp a second shot. It was cooked perfectly!

I found this place by googling best crab boil near me. This was not the first result nor the 4th but down the line. I clicked on it and saw the reviews sounded good and we're very positive. I decided to give it a try. This place may not look like it has the best crab boil but oh trust me it does. The smell of the Cajun spices, the smell of the Garlic Butter just makes your mouth water. When we got the bags home and opened them the deliciousness hits you in the face. The taste was amazing, the seafood tastes fresh and the seasoning was perfect. Highly recommend this place. This was a super surprise treat for my family and we will do it again. Make sure to wear their awesome plastic crab bibs because you will get messy and keep extra paper towels near to wipe hands. Hands down better than any crab boil I ever got from Joe's Crab Shack.

For appetizers, we ordered the oysters and burrata and prosciutto toast. I did not try the oysters but the others said they were good. I would order the toast again. For my entree I ordered the steak frites. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Perfectly cooked to medium rare. Had a lovely crust on it. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding with salted caramel gelato, burnt basque cheesecake and pear fritters. All three were delicious but the bread pudding was the standout. I highly recommend ordering it. Also have to mention our server Frank who was lovely and very attentive. We had a lot of questions, if there was something he didn't know he was very quick to find out the answer and was very thorough.

There is a parking lot behind the restaurant with free parking after 5. The menu reads exciting and includes a lot of fun and modern ingredients, the space is bright and inviting and we had great service. The cocktail menu was small and uninspired, but we enjoyed a few cocktails. My favorite of the night was a dirty martini with house stuffed blue cheese olives. Their aviation inspired cocktail called Flight 99 was okay, but left me wanting an aviation. We decided to get a few appetizers the share over some cocktails and didn't order any entrees. We started with the Shrimp Ceviche and the Foie Gras Torchon. Both plates arrived and the presentation left a lot to be desired. The shrimp ceviche was good but the baby corn and sweet potato were weird. It didn't belong at all. I don't know if it is traditional or what but it just took up space, made the presentation uninviting and added nothing to the dish. The chips were great though and the shrimp were large and of great quality. The Foie gras torchon was like a chilled pate, it was alright. 4 tiny slices of toast was not enough for the plate, the green strawberry compote was a good pairing, the dressed greens were fine but again, didn't add much to the dish. We heard the special of soft shell crab and wanted to order it. For the second round, we ordered the bone marrow and soft shell crab. The bone marrow was maybe 3 bites, the bones were very dry and didn't have much marrow to scrape so that was disappointing. The soft shell crab was a large portion and was very good and treat to have during the season. However, it was $65. Maybe our fault for not asking but that price is obscene for that dish. It was soft shell crab over spinach. We were pretty full and ended the meal with bread pudding which was fine. Our bill before tip was $280 for 4 appetizers, 6 cocktails and a dessert. I was sticker shocked. I really regret not asking the price on the soft shell crab. The food did not live up to the hype at all and I don't think I would return based on the quality and prices.

The menu is huge and full of some classic dishes. They have a full bar so we started off with some drinks, I just went with wine today but my sister enjoyed an espresso martini. We were also brought out some fresh bread and butter and I may have over indulged. I knew I wanted to try the lobster bisque - a favorite of mine. It was served with a fried lobster ravioli on top. The soup was delicious and had an excellent depth of flavor, but I did find the ravioli to be a bit flavorless. I would order this again, or even try the New England chowder too. The entrees come with salad as well, they were bright and fresh and the dressings were great. Honestly, we both were so full by the time the entrees came, we barely touched them, but definitely took them home. The entree portions were huge. I ordered the Veal Milanese. The veal was pretty good, not as tender as I would usually expect, but it had good flavor. I love arugula too. The risotto was a miss for me, it seemed to be loaded with dried oregano, which didn't match the flavor profiles of the main entree and took away from the dish. This is a cute little hidden gem and with a menu that big, I wouldn't hesitate to return. Service was great and the ambiance is super homey.

It consists of lobster tail, shrimp, clams and mussels in fra diavolo sauce over pasta. Our helpful server said the Jo Jo Special was meant to be shared. We thought it was an amazing Italian dish. I also had a delicious espresso martini. We were quite full. We had no room for dessert though the couples sitting next to us had rave reviews for the chocolate cake. Perhaps next time. In addition to the wonderful meal, I liked the ambiance. The restaurant is huge. We sat at a table right up front. The red and white checked tablecloths are classic. The large bar and decor harken to a different era. The art and images on the walls celebrate the Capital Region's history. The photos along the bar pay tribute to former service men and women from the region. I also liked the gracious and efficient wait staff. They were so welcoming. They were also very much aware that we had a show to catch. Even though Proctor's is just across the street, they made every effort to see to it that we were happy and fed in a timely manner. I'm grateful. We'll be back. Thanks.
