We wanted Thai food when we were in Troy and decided to go to this restaurant because of the good reviews. We were greeted upon entering and seated right away. We were there for lunch on a weekend and it was not busy at all. Looks to be a family run business. Service was good with only the lady and her daughter working the front. We ordered the Thai tea and it was a bit too sweet. The Tom Yum noodle soup was good but also a bit on the sweet side compared to what I've had in other restaurants. But I do like it though. Tastes more like the Vietnamese version. The chicken curry puffs were good with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. Though a bit pricey with only 3 puffs for $8. Also curry flavor could have been a bit stronger. We will have to go back to try more off their menu. We would have liked to order the Mango and sticky rice dessert too but we were too full this time. read more

I had made up my mind on making this my first review for 2025. However, my unplanned travel across a few countries and continents caused delays. My aunt wanted me to take her to a Thai restaurant that I had taken her once in Latham NY. I told her I've found a better spot, let's go and there we were. This time we ordered a couple of items from The specials menu which included khao soi and wings to go with cherry chicken, padhai and butterfly shrimp. I would probably say this is my new go to thai spot In the capital region. They have amazing deals on the lunch specials and the food tasted better than the deals. Few tips, you can never see the specials board, but it's near the cash register. Service may be a little slower when it gets busy as there's only one person that's managing upfront. Excellent Thai food. I stopped in for a quick lunch on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised. I was seated and brought water quickly, and was able to put in an order in less than 5 minutes. For my order, I got the fresh rolls and the pad kra pow 9spicy basil chicken). The order came out within 5-10 minutes steaming hot. The fresh rolls came with a delicious peanut oil cause for dipping that complimented the contents wonderfully. The spicy basil was wonderful. It had a nice coating of sauce and a mix of ground chicken, onions, and peppers and a side of jasmine rice. The flavor was delicious, highlighting the basil and umami flavors. Went on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. They even had their young daughter helping out and she was very attentive! I had the vegetarian pho which had lots of vegetable variety and a delicious broth. It came with all the usual toppings like bean sprouts, fresh basil, and jalapeño. They brought a ceramic server of various chilies. My only complaint was the noodles were overdone, and therefore could not be slurped. Either cook them less or buy a better brand. This gem doesn't have a flashy sign but the food is 5-star Michelin-worthy, I've eaten in Thai restaurants in cities up and down the east coast. This food is fresh, nothing is from a can. I had high hopes tonight, but was disappointed with each item. Fresh rolls broke through their wrappers and the pork was overwhelming. Blech. We got a green curry with veg and a lime leaf salmon. Both were so skimpy on vegetables, mostly green pepper, and so filled with sauce, you'd think I ordered soups. When I asked for the veggie, I specifically asked for as many vegetables as they could put in. I'm pretty sure that two bits of broccoli might have been the replacement for any chicken or tofu I could have had at the same price. The salmon was tasty, but again where were so veggies that weren't green pepper or soppy, floppy pea pods? Lastly, the pad Thai was mushy and merely serviceable. My Go to for actually edible pho(not disgusting cuts of meat) I love their Pho Bo and combination. I will say that if you are going to have it to eat in.. it's very hard to transport all the items and truly experience the peak freshness. You want your meat to come out raw and then be cooked by the steaming hot broth. You want all the veggie elements to be fresh and ready to adorn your meal and you want those noodles perfectly ready and not stuck together. They also have incredible curry puff which are not featured on the take out menu. Their spring rolls are fresh and divine. I haven't tried the other stuff but since I ate their Pho I have high opinions about what a good one should taste like. read more

This is one of the best thai places in the area. I'm a big fan of Sukhothai in Albany, Celadon in Latham, but Lime Leaf is truly a gem. The staff is super nice and a good part of the community. We order from them super frequently and the food is always ready on time, always tasty, and always fresh. All of their dishes are super flavorful. Some of my favorites are the fresh rolls, chicken wings, thai tea, and the lime leaf curry. Everything on the menu is super delicious and you can't go wrong. read more

A big disappointment for us as we had to drive into Albany instead to find another restaurant that serves Pho. The couple who own it are always incredibly nice, even when they are dealing with a ton of orders all coming in at the same time. Our favorite dishes are the fresh shrimp rolls with peanut sauce, the curried salmon, and the tiger eye steak! I don't know what they do to make the steak so tender, but each time I've had it's been some of the tastiest steak I've ever had. Lime leaf has been pretty good! I typically go up to Saigon springs for pho, but didn't want to drive up there during this cold weather. I found lime leaf on Uber eats and have ordered pho a few times, and the broth has great flavors. The eye round has been my go to, I've tried brisket as well and was not as big if a fan (sliced thin and falls apart). They separate out the noodles and toppings from the broth and meat which is nice. The only complaint I have is that the noodles stick together in the container that I end up with small chunks until I eat enough to put the remainder of the noodles in. To be expected that noodles would stick, so I can't imagine how great it would be in person! Great alternative to driving with an option closer to me! read more

Pad Thai is absolutely disgusting. A huge bowl of sloppy wet noodles swimming in way too much sauce. Worst Thai food I have ever had. Also the place was decorated with scented candles producing an overbearing fragrance-- really an unbearable stench that ruined the possibility of actually tasting the food. But it may have been also that the food was flavorless. If a Thai restaurant can't make Pad Thai right, there is no hope. read more

It took a while for the food to come, but when it did arrive it was amazing! The food was fantastic, I had the chicken pho, it had many pieces of chicken and the soup was very flavorful.
