And they have the best take out containers - that don't leak. I really appreciate the care with how they pack my food. Saran Wrap. And double bag. Whether you've been here years ago or never been here, I highly recommend you check out Siam in the near future. I went with a friend yesterday and it was AMAZING! We each had a dinner combo (a fresh roll, egg drop soup, steamed rice, and two partial entrees). She had yellow curry and pad Thai. She loved them. I had chicken basil and green chicken curry. My curry, although not traditional vegetables, still had long slices of eggplant (yum!) and was creamy and savory, with tender white meat chicken. The chicken basil was the best chicken basil I've had in years! I've been searching for a new favorite basil and I've found my home. The egg drop soup was possibly the best I've ever had, with lots of vegetables with the perfect crunch. Add soy sauce. The atmosphere is a bit cold and empty. They could use some statues or something to separate the large empty room. This may be due to social distancing. The service was pretty good; our server could have been a little more attentive with water and checking in but no complaints from me. read more

I would say this place has some really great service. Very friendly staff. Got a Thai iced tea with grass jelly, usually it doesn't come with a free refill but they offered to fill it up. The crispy pork belly basil is delicious. The pork belly is very crispy, I am glad it is not soggy. The fresh rolls are pretty decent. Ended up getting the dinner combo of the pad Thai and the basil chicken. Honestly the pad Thai is kind of mushy. The basil chicken has a great spice to it but it's very well put together. We also got the ox tail pho, has a lot of flavor to it. The meat of the pho is so tender and carries all the flavor the broth has. Will definitely come back for the ox tail pho. read more

I like soup. I'm not particularly picky about my soup. But, I know good soup when I taste it. And let me tell you, this was some darn good soup. The broth! So flavorful, you could drink it plain. Add homemade rice noodles and crispy pork belly (Khao piek sen), and it's a match made in heaven. The pork was perfectly crispy balanced with delectable fattiness that was addictive. The noodles were chewy and perfectly slurpable. Hubby got the yellow curry and beef massaman curry to split with the toddler. Hubby declared it the best curry he ever had. Toddler devoured his portion. He also eats dirt, so take his opinion with a grain of salt, but he did ask for seconds so it must be good. Service was prompt and friendly so no complaints there. My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Siam Cuisine in Anchorage. We enjoyed the Fresh Spring Rolls, Thai style papaya salad, and Rama peanut sauce with tofu as our choice of protein. The Fresh Spring Rolls were crisp and refreshing, complemented by a tangy dipping sauce, of course with a drizzle of grounded peanut! The Thai style papaya salad was vibrant and perfectly balanced with its spicy lime dressing. The highlight was the Rama peanut sauce with tofu--rich, creamy, and satisfying, with a hint of coconut (not sure if there's an ingredient but it tasted alike) that paired well with the chewy tofu. Siam Cuisine has been a go to for my family for years. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The service is excellent and the menu is varied. The food is hot and fresh and the portions are generous. We went today and had the shrimp Tom yum soup, the beef and meatball Pho, and the Mongolian beef. All were excellent. The broth for both soups were flavored perfectly as described in the menu and there were several fat, juicy prawn shrimp in the Tom yum. Another delicious meal tonight. Calamari is "light" and tasty. Server was helpful with us being indecisive and hungry - pointed us the right direction! The complimentary egg noodle soup was the best I've ever had there. Plenty of meat, and veggies. I've been going here for years with my mom - our fun dining spot... back when this place had the banquet style chairs, old tables, etc. -- fun to see how far it's come! I'm thinking Covid take out actually helped them, since I see a bunch of people doing pick up now and the restaurant is almost full ... compared to the 1 other table that used to be there years ago. This is my go to Vietnamese / Thai food place to go! Honestly this is my comfort food. I have been going here since I was 12 ( possibly younger ). Most consistent food ever. Very authentic, great family owned restaurant. Hands down the best fried rice in town. The deep fried spring rolls are heaven that's deep fried with delicious dipping sauce. The portions are perfect and great pricing ratio. Honestly anything on the menu you order will be fresh and delicious. Bell does such a wonderful job running the place and has trained the newer staff to make you feel just as welcome like the older staff. This our second time here in 2 weeks . We have not eaten here in several years. We really like the food here. The one negative comment I will make up front is first the service we had tonight was VERY POOR! My wife on the way to the restroom had to tell our waitress that we needed boxes as she had not checked on us since our food was brought to the table. The second negative comment is that in a military town, like this that there is NO military discount. I feel in this town if you want the military business, you need to offer a discount as there are many others out there that will give a discount Now for the positive. For what the wife and I had tonight, the bill was at $100.75. I don't feel that is bad. We started out with fresh spring rolls that were very good. I had a medium 3 meat pho, which was very good and there was a good portion of meat. The broth was very good. It was filling. I also ordered the bacon fried rice. I have had this in several other establishments and this by far was the best. My wife ordered the Pad Thai, this was very good and there was more than enough. She says it was one of the best she has had. She also ordered the Panang combo. She said it was very good and she would order it again. We will come to this restaurant again. Prompt and attentive service. Great food and good portion size. Came in for lunch at around 12. Got the lunch special with pad Thai, garlic chicken, and egg fried rice. I chose the fried roll instead of the fresh one and all of it comes on the lunch special. We also got the egg drop soup, which I'm sure comes when you dine in, but it's usually bland and no one ever finishes it. Here the soup is really good. It's got chunks of egg and chicken and carrots with other veggies. Totally good. At this time there were only a couple tables where people were sitting. One was a big group and three others were couples including us. Mostly we saw a bunch of to go orders. Makes sense, because it was the middle of the week. This restaurant is fairly spacious inside and very well decorated. Not a ton of clutter or cliche things just laying around. Food came in a timely manner, but you can definitely tell it was cooked to order. Even though we had the lunch special the portions were pretty big and weren't smashed together on a plate. I fully recommend eating here if you haven't. I was in false labor on the way to the hospital when I ate here. The food was still amazing between contractions! Lol. read more

Ordered wings, Kao piek sen and pork chop plate. Wings are battered and deep fried and then lightly drizzled with sweet chili sauce. Pork chop plate had three chops and was okay. Kao piek sen wasn't what I was expecting. Kao piek sen is pretty much a Lao version of chicken noodle soup made with fresh noodles but my fault for not reading the menu thoroughly as it did state that they use beef broth. Except it wasn't just any beef broth, it was their pho broth. Not to mention the noodles were either clumpy or broken, usually an indicator of the the noodles not being fresh or it was previously frozen. Also, I must advise that they are very generous of their garnishes (cilantro, green onion, bean sprouts and celery). So much so that the bean sprouts overshadowed the noodles. Hell, the bean sprouts were practically the noodles. Typically, you'd get a plate of vegetables/garnishes on the side but not here. They throw it all in the bowl for you, ready to go. Their prices are a bit up there but at least they don't skimp out on the portions so I guess you kinda get what you pay for? read more

It was Monday 9-19-22 8pm. We ordered beef rib pho and kho pia. The beef broth was exceptionally sweet. What happened? Did you guys make a mistake by accidentally putting sugar instead of salt? Or was it my mistake for being ignorant because Thai and Laotian pho broth was supposed to be that sweet? The broth really tasted weird to us. Another thing is, at the end of a check out I asked for napkin twice, once toward the waitress and another time with the waiter. They were in such a big hurry to give us the to go box and completely disregarded my request. You guys generally have a very good repute; maybe I caught you guys at a bad day. We know how difficult it is to run a restaurant; I generally give 20 % tip. So in the end, we just give up asking for the napkin and give you guys a 10% tip. read more

Siam cuisine never disappoints. I used to come frequently for their lunch special since I worked across the plaza. 12.99 and you get two chicken entrees, soup, rice, and a spring or fried roll. Food is always hot. Their ox tail Kom is soup is also great, and they have an amazing homemade chili oil. Every time I've dined in, the service is great and it's awesome to see a family business doing so well. One of my favorite places to order when we have guests from the lower 48 as well.
