This was our favorite place to in the area, we were there for a week and we went here for the first time on our third day and then came back every day after that. Their food is the amazing, and the only time I heard anyone complain was on the fifth day when they were completely full some guy in line complained about having to wait for a seat. My meal at Siam was delicious. The Volcano Shrimp (hot) was a terrific balance of Thai flavors. We ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls so we ordered the Shrimp Spring Rolls. The Sweet Chili Sauce and the Peanut Sauce were perfect accompaniments. Two drawbacks for the evening were... no reservations taken and our bill was "padded" when we reviewed it. When we started to say something the server took the bill without even listening to what might have been wrong and corrected it without hesitation. read more

The food was great but the service was embarrassingly awful. One in our party order Pad Thai with hot spice. When the runner brought the food he said, "Thai hot" when delivering the plate. My friend told him that he order "hot" not "Thai hot." The runner left but waiter never returned to offer to fix the meal. My friend only took a few bites to determine it was not edible. Waiter never came back and checked in on our table again. Finally, after 20 minutes I flagged the host/manager down, and pointed out the problem. Then manager and the waiter come back and argue with us about the meal. It was extremely tacky and rude the way these two behaved. Then much later after my friend obviously wasn't eating the dish, they offered to only take off half the $18 meal charge because they claimed he ate half the fish. Bizarre behavior! These two should find another line of work. We love the food there but this service was beyond belief and beyond human decency!! Not many people can actually stomach true Thai hot spice. These idiots should have known better and provided better customer service. Not sure we'll ever return and risk facing this boorish behavior again. read more

My wife and I arrived on time at 6PM with 3 kids and were sat promptly at a table in the kitchen staging area for waiters which should never had a table in first place while other tables in main dining area were empty. My wife requested a change and was snapped at by the host and waved off. After repeated requests they relented and then sat another family with kids back there. Then things got worse. The waiter knew nothing about the menu other than to tell us what was apps and what was an entree. He said, "I only ever had the yellow curry one time and it was good". Also, one full page of items was not available (rolls) due to fact they didn't have anyone that can make them. Plus they were out of an ingredient for my wife to order a specialty drink. Once we found something they had we ordered and got a dish that was so I'll prepared that we thought they must just be mad at us. The food literally smelled like it had been scooped from the toilet. It was so suspicious because every employee kept coming by to see if we ate it which we didn't. Our kids called it poison. I would never ever recommend this place. I do not know how it is in business. I never post but this was so bad I don't want others to have same experience while on vacation. read more

Even though Siam says they accept Take out orders, if they are 'too busy' they won't accept them, as was our experience tonight. Isn't that easier for the kitchen? Yummmmmy! This Thai food was outta sight. So we show up here on a busy Friday night, and the restaurant was packed! We opted to sit our party of 10 outside. The food was absolutely delicious and nicely presented. Our server really knew about the different types of curries, which was nice, because I never knew what the differences were. The owner came out to say hello, and told us how he ended up in Telluride with a Thai restaurant. We had such a great time here, and with all the noise we were making it was probably best our $@& were outside. Lol....good times. Price was great too. I have been coming to Telluride for years but just discovered this little gem. The food and cocktails are exquisite. First and foremost, I was impressed with several of their staff, and their food was fairly decent. The reason that my friends and I felt compelled to post a review was the attitude of our waiter. While initially his service was great, as the night went on I felt as though I could've broken out my felt pen and written several long form stories in the time that he took between coming to check in on us. You could see how he was trying to have fun with the rest of the staff in the back while we were patiently waiting for another drink and/or our check. The kicker came when we were leaving, and he proceeded input our tips. The waiter questioned, rather loudly, who the f*** tips $$ on this $$. Although collectively we tipped more than 15% of our total, I feel as though their training should reflect the notion that tips are earned though good service. read more

They need to learn how to make Green Curry. It was way too salty and when I sent it back they said it didn't have salt and suggested that I probably would prefer something like banana curry. What I would prefer and what I wanted was Green Curry, which I've ordered at other places and know what it should taste like. When my mate asked for soy, the waiter suggested something else so... I picked this place based on yelp reviews and after one of my boyfriend's friends recommended it it was officially decided to eat here for dinner last Friday night. First of all, the menu is HUGE! That should be your first red flag--the more options on the menu, the less likely the place is able to do several dishes very well. We ordered the lettuce wraps for an appetizer--they were topped with apple and it was a really great and unique flavor profile, however, we were both sorely disappointed with our meals. I ordered the Pad Thai, vegetarian style (one of my only gluten free options) and upon recommendation as being "the best thing on the menu" my guy had the duck. Both of us were really underwhelmed with the profile of the flavors. Know that "Spicy" at Siam, is not that spicy, and the pad thai lacks serious depth as a good pad thai should have. My boyfriend simply responded he'd "had better." The restaurant itself was really cute, and I like the crystals they give you to rest your chopsticks on (very clever). They should really do something about the stench of the co-ed bathroom though. If I did decide to go back for seconds, I'd get take out--the place fills up and we were piled in like sardines in a two-person-table-section. I accidentally thought the waiter was talking to us a couple times only to answer and realize he was talking to the tables next to us--his response, "Don't worry, it happens all the time!" Excellent experience here while on vacation with the gf. Food was very tasty, seafood was especially fresh. The menu is HUGE and can be a bit overwhelming, but our waiter Epic Dave was great at providing some suggestions. On that note, we received very pleasant and efficient service from Dave. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The decor is welcoming and interesting. This is the perfect place to go with a date or friends. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. Coming from NY we have Thai places everywhere and I have become very skeptical about eating at Thai places in random cities/towns, but this has beat my expectations by a lot. We ordered 2 appetizers (lettuce wraps and a salad), the Drunken Noodle, and fried ice cream and everything was delicious. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and would have loved to return if I wasn't only visiting for a few days. But I know that next time I come to Telluride, this will be on the top of my list! read more

I love Siam! Great food and excellent service. Because of this fact, they are often really busy and hard to get into. CALL AHEAD and get on the list no matter what night! Due to high demand we were skipped because of a dropped call, but they handled it perfectly! Nobody's fault. They were so apologetic and accommodating. Technology fails us sometimes...it happens. Definitely recommend the Tom Khan soup, so yummy, and the Salmon dish my husband had was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. You really can't go wrong here. Worst treatment ever at Siam - WOW, we have been coming to Telluride for over 20 years and Siam has been one of our favorite places. Typical busy night, we are on wait list, no big deal, getting some drinks at the bar. I have been in the food service business and certainly understand sometimes things are slow, however, the bartender continually ignored us, then served several people who came after us. OK, annoying but we let it slide. We never said anything to him, but he still had a bad attitude towards us. Finally got served after 20 minutes+ (yes), my buddy was going to give him $3 for 2 drinks. I told my friend he didn't deserve any tip at all which the bartender must have heard because then he gets all huffy and says you guys just need to leave my bar. Wow, never had anyone tell me that before. So we tell the host who must also be the manager/owner that the bartender was rude to us. She says, well he was really busy, then tells us with our wives that she doesn't want us to eat there. Right in front of several people waiting. WOW! Never had anything like that happen before, ever. Guess they have so much business they don't care. We're not the only ones, just look at all the recent reviews on service. Too many other great restaurants in Telluride. Thank you for ruining our evening Siam. You would never make it in a real city. read more

Amazing Thai food! Not just "for a ski town," but just great! I love Thai food and grew up with asian cuisine, so I have a feel for what's considered authentic and what's been westernized. The Tom Kha soup was the best tasting of any that I have ever tried (and that's a lot). The ingredients taste fresh and, and it seems like a lot of thought was put into the seasoning of their dishes. My boyfriend ordered the duck curry (which I have never found anywhere), and it tasted phenomenal. I ordered the larb salad with sticky rice (the fact that they have sticky rice is another sign of authentic food), and it tasted like what I had growing up.
