Disclaimer: I am not well-versed in Thai cuisine. So if my terminology is subpar, you're just gonna have to deal with it because you made it this far. So after a long days work, I had quite the appetite. However, I forgot that here in Ouray a lot of places close early. I remember someone recommending this place. So I decided to stop on by. Upon quickly processing the menu, I decided to get the fried pork belly. Pork belly was nice and hot and crispy. served with rice with the egg on top as well as some soup. For my next venture there, I opted for a chicken dish that had a very spicy broth. I found both dishes to be very good as well as the portions. Also, the fact that this is one of the few international cuisine places in the area it was a nice change of pace for my taste buds. read more

The food was so great! I had the pad Thai and wife had a shrimp bowl with some type of coconut curry with noodles (#27). We're super picky when it comes to quality and couldn't have been happier with our meals. Walked into the first floor and they offered the 3 floor balcony as an option. Went to the 2nd floor where we ordered our meal. Before going to the 3rd floor the man at the bar said "I already started the fire for you!" What??? We went up to the balcony with amazing 360 unobstructed views. We had the entire balcony to ourselves the whole time. Ambiance was great and we couldn't recommend this place more. It's not that I don't adore this little Swiss town in Colorado. I simply didn't think we'd find such a solid Thai restaurant way out in Ouray. After an intense hike in nearby Silverton, we were hungry for something good. Upon doing a quick search in Yelp, my daughter found this Thai place. Conveniently located in the main street where most of the businesses gather (everything is walkable in this quaint mountain town!), the entrance of this restaurant is/was somewhat unnoticeable. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted. It was past the peak lunch time (a little past 1:30pm) on a beautiful Monday afternoon, there was nobody dining at the time. They appeared to have some called in or online orders but they sure weren't busy. Our waiter (he appeared to be some sort of a manager) had a nice/warm smile. He gave us menu and a few waters. Once he sensed that we had decided on what to eat, he came back to us immediately. What we picked as our late lunch (Pad Thai and Massaman Curry) were immediately placed with the kitchen as they came out so quickly (we only waited for 5-10 mins.) The waiter asked us if we needed chopsticks especially for the Pad Thai. He was above and beyond. We were very pleased with the quality of both the Pad Thai and the Massaman Curry. Well-seasoned with right amount of salt. Everything tasted fresh. When we got the bill after the meal, it was clocked at 2:06pm. We entered the restaurant 1:36pm so this lunch occasion was a matter of roughly 30 minutes with entering the place, perusing the menu, placing the order, getting the food, finishing the food, and getting the check! This perfectly worked out with our tight schedule (not that we were trying to rush everything; we still had 6+ hours to drive to go home in Denver so quicker the better!) Ouray is far from our home. Not knowing when we'll be back in this quaint mountain town, my hope is that this restaurant will exists as long as the owner wishes to run the business. We shall be back when/if we'd be nearby. read more

It's the only Asian or Thai restaurant in Ouray, and of course we were craving some hot soup after being out in the cold hiking all morning. It was a great break from the snow. It looks to be a very traditional Thai restaurant, but I must say the food is very pricy. Surprised to see a $20 noodle soup but we ordered it and it was delicious. We were able to choose between egg or regular noodles and I chose the regular- which was a good choice as it's almost like rice pho noodles. They also included 2 meatballs and plenty of beef stew chunks. I could've licked the bowl, but that's because I was starving after a workout in the snow. read more

Unfortunately, it had almost zero flavor without the spice and I ordered it exactly the same way. So, all for extra chili sauce, or make sure it's cooked correctly if you have a to go order. Delicious Thai spot to hit up after the Ouray Perimeter trail! Everything came out so quickly. Loved the drunken noodles and the sticky rice was steamed to perfection. Really big seating area and lots of parking. No outdoor patio. My only complaint is that the peanut sauce tasted like Girl Scout Samoa/coconut delight cookies. My wife and I ordered veggie stir fry with beef as protein option, crispy pork with egg and rice (this was the chef's special dish highlighted along with a duck meat dish), and third dish was pad Thai with shrimp, chivken and xtra bean sprouts 1. Veggie stir fry, I thought the beef was chicken bc the color was way off. I have never seen beef that looks yellowish brown before. It did not tasted fresh, canned mushrooms, frozen veggies. One of the worse stir fry ever tasted 2. Crispy pork with egg and rice. Pork was NOT crispy, looks like it was old and re-heated . I returned it. Note: they did not charge me 3. Pad Thai was just ok. Probably on the lower rung maybe even in last place compared to all the pad Thai we have eaten. I was charged $2 for chicken and extra bean sprouts was another $2. The rice noodles were clumped together and very sticky. No signs of green onions like we see in traditional pad Thai. Veggie stir fry with beef and pad Thai $49. I understand the pricing is according to vacation towns but I would expect higher quality ingredients. This was very low grade except for the shrimp. THU's the extra star. And we were like, "Perfect Timing!" We came in and were seated in the back since we were a big party. The restaurant decor was dated, seats were cramped and we had a rude, overworked server I felt rushed when our order was taken and when the food came out, we were all disappointed. The Panang curry was very average--the flavor was nothing special and was just filled with sliced red bell peppers and chicken (my protein of choice). Service was decent. Friday, August 5, 2022. Wife and I visited for lunch. Beautiful entrance with flowers and outdoor tables. We loved the menu, which had photos of all the food items. Our server was named Kob. We sat by the window and were able to people watch the Ouray tourists as they strolled by. We ordered the eggroll appetizer ($8), with four eggrolls, which were stuffed with vegetables and had fried wonton wrappers. These were tasty, especially dipped in the sweet chili sauce. My wife ordered the red curry pork with Jasmine rice ($16.99). Unfortunately, the curry had the consistency of soup and seemed way watered down. I ordered the Pad Ka-Prow ($16.99) with pork and Jasmine rice. This dish featured stir fried garlic, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and basil. I really thought this came with noodles and was disappointed to learn I read the menu wrong! Even without the noodles my dish filled me up with fresh, delicious ingredients. The service here was fast and friendly. For a healthy, filling lunch, we paid a total of $45.95. This Thai food would be next level if the curry hadn't been over watery. read more
