This is the most authentic Thai restaurant we have found here in Saint Louis. All of the dishes my family and I have tried tasted exactly like their authentic Thai counterparts. Personally, I recommend the Pad See Ew. The food is truly Thai spicy here (which is very telling of the authenticity of the restaurant), so be very careful. Food always comes out pretty quickly, waters are always refilled regularly, and there's always a video playing above the counter to keep you entertained. You do have to pay at the counter, so don't expect anyone to come up to your table with a check. Definitely worth checking out! Siam Thai is definitely underrated! read more

I visited Siam Thai Restaurant with my family, and the food was so delicious! We ordered the papaya salad, drunken noodles, khao soi curry, and pineapple fried rice. The drunken noodles were the top favorite for everyone, and the pineapple fried rice was a close second. Personally, I loved the khao soi curry, even though my family wasn't as big a fan. The flavors in every dish were fantastic! I recommend trying their mango sticky rice as well. The only downside was the service: everything came out quickly, but our server seemed a bit annoyed with our table, which caught me off guard. This was our first time here and we really liked the food! It did get busy pretty quickly, so I understand things can get hectic. I would say the service could be a bit more attentive--my son didn't get his water refilled, and I ended up giving him my drink. Spectacular find! If you want authentic Thai food at a reasonable price this is your new favorite. Food is fantastic. We total five went there this Saturday around 7.20 & set down. Service person came & said order in hurry, no greetings or any smile. When she drop off the plates for appetizer it was like she is throwing them on the table. When she brought the food we tried asking her which plate is what order & she got very irritated like we should know which plate contain which items. It's a tiny little place in a strip mall. The food is delicious, it's one of my favorite places to get carry out. The beef dish Beef Massaman tastes like pot roast and gravy with pumpkin pie spices. (Not reminiscent of any Thai dish I've ever tasted) The noodle dish Khao Soi Gai was extremely spicy with chili flakes and oil floating on the top despite requesting a level 1 heat. The chicken was tough and flavorless/tasted like boiled chicken and the noodles were hard chewy and undercooked. The spring rolls were BY FAR the best item we had. The Thai tea tasted like melted ice cream with a mild hint of tea flavor, so so so sweet. Server was not friendly and they just let us sit for a long period of time and never let us know we had to pay upfront. I eat here on a monthly basis, often taking colleagues or friends and family. Whoever I take always asks to go back. One of the best places for Pad Thai in the area, amazing flavors and great ingredients. Some reviews aren't a fan of dining in. Personally I really enjoy the quiet ambiance and intimate eating and conversations. They also have a long table where multiple party's can eat and converse, I love that cultural aspect. I popped in here for a work lunch with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Inside the seating is nothing to brag about - small tables and chairs, no real ambiance. The menu is extensive! And the apps are much better prices than I normally see at Thai restaurants. We ordered the lobster rangoon and loved it. They serve it with a unique sauce that was okay but I'm kinda basic and would have preferred thai chili sauce to dip them in. I ordered my regular thai dish - pad see yu, level 2 spicy. They did have some more expensive apps but their egg rolls, cheese rolls and fried tofu is $3 each. I went for the fried tofu and the cheese egg rolls, both served with sweet chili sauce. I didn't get adventurous I tried my favorite go to entree, chicken pad Thai and it was good! I splurged by ordering a Thai dessert, Thai custard and sticky rice for $5 and it was good. This small business was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of some of the bigger restaurants in the area with full parking lots. This place had a steady stream of take out orders and a sprinkling of diners like myself on a Wednesday week night. Sue's place is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in the city. Wonderful variety. My favorite dish is the Crispy Duck Basil. But the Baunk Youn appetizer and roti desserts are also on the must-try list, not to mention the mango sticky rice. So much to love on this menu. I've been to several other Thai restaurants in the area and this keeps up with the quality. Glad I found it! Delicious yellow chicken curry. Big pieces of perfectly cooked chicken breast with the Texture of brisket. I can't think of a better way to describe it. The chicken just falls apart so pleasantly! The curry has peanuts. It's the first time I had peanuts in my curry so I was slightly surprised but happy to try it. The cheese rolls are about the size of spring rolls. Friend called this the BEST Thai in STL. So, we started going in 2016 and haven't stopped! They have delicious food. You can pick the level of spicy you want, which is incredibly fun for our grown kids to out-spice each other. My typical pick is Pad Thai Chicken Spicy #2. My boys will reck with Spicy Levels 4, 5 & 6! They staff is the nicest around. They are very helpful in describing menu items to us. I was kind of looking forward to a new Thai restaurant in the Valley. I didn't care for Zen (the previous tenant) so I figured I'll give the new one a try before my errands out there. When I ordered I ordered an appetizer first to which the woman replied they were out of it. So then I said what about the ----? Oh, we're out of that too. Ok never mind on the appetizer. I'll go with #49 Pad Kee-Maow the drunken noodles with beef. Can I have no green pepper please? Ok great. The plate comes out alarmingly fast and she's mumbling something while holding the plate. They put green pepper on it. She whisked it back to the kitchen and was back delivering it less than 60 seconds later. The kitchen picked the green pepper off the dish (missed two pieces) and sent it back out. I didn't complain. The portion was one of the smallest noodle portions I've ever seen in a Thai restaurant which turned out to be just fine because it wasn't good. The noodles were wide and short (by short I mean 1 inch long) and completely cooked to mush. The beef was tough. The sauce was corn starch laden and gloppy. It tasted like it came from a bottle. Went out for a dinner in the valley tonight and couldn't decide where to go and then we saw a sign that said Thai and decided to give this place a try. And boy are we glad we went in. The spring rolls were great. I had the Sriracha chicken that was really good with the right amount of heat. My wife has a chicken curry dish that she really enjoyed.
