Tries so many dishes and every dish was delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing and a great place to have conversation and fellowship. Service was fast and they gave great recommendations.

Everything here was so tasty, fresh, crispy, and flavorful! We wanted to try something new & I'm so glad we came! The grilled beef salad, with spice is sooo good! Smoothies are phenomenal! Egg rolls are huge and so tasty! The prices are even better! Can't wait to come back

This is a fairly new restaurant, their menu is fairly small but good enough. I believe it's managed by Chins, one of the server mentioned that lots of chins order catering through them for different celebrations and events We got the short rib soup and kway teow The short rib soup only comes as is, I had to ask for a rice, it's a little bit tendon-y and boney I was given a tong and scissors to be able to eat it I like the kway teow, it's similar to a Thai dish drunken noodle, the fish cake looked homemade and was flavorful They have a few tables and chairs, they also have a few Korean bbq tables and booths, but the Korean bbq chairs are awkward to seat at, weird height/distance from the table

This was a really great hidden gem. The food was great and the service was friendly. Going on a Saturday will be very busy as they do a robust catering business that day. I asked if that was normal and was informed it is very come in the Chin world to have weddings and blessings that day and they cater a lot of them. I recommend for sure!

It's a small business and you can feel cozy and comfy. We got Burmese tea, Rakhine Mont Tee , and AthokeSone along with freshly squeezed limeade. Everything is so tasty. Wish I can try the whole menu. If you're in town and want to try Burmese food, this is a place to go. They open limited business hours. Please check before you go. They have a decent sized dining room that has a couple of televisions around the walls. One of the televisions was playing praise music videos, while the other one was off. This is an authentic Burmese restaurant and has a menu full of traditional favorites. Most of their food revolves around rice, noodles, fish and chicken. They only have canned drinks. There is no fountain I will admit that this is not the cleanest restaurant around. The floor, ceiling and walls could definitely use a good scrubbing. The waitress was friendly enough. I ordered their Spicy Curry Chicken. It took about 8 minutes for me to get my food and as advertised, it had a little punch to it. I wish I was more educated on how the meal was supposed to go together. It came with a soup, lettuce and baby carrots, some white rice, a hot sauce, and the spicy chicken. I did not know what went with what or how to exactly eat it. So, I just mixed the chicken with the rice and skipped the hot sauce, because the chicken was hot enough. It was a very good meal and at a reasonable price. In keeping with my venturing out and trying new things. This was a nice spot to visit and they have some really good food. I recommend checking this place out, but maybe learn a bit about Burmese cuisine like I did.

Perhaps the words got rearranged, and we are supposed to put them in order to solve a clue. No? Well, sorry to bother you -- I'll leave you to sit with your normal thoughts. But if this name has vexed you like it has me, then the first paragraph of this Yelp review is for you. Mostly, I visited Htaw Metta to confirm the pronunciation of Htaw Metta, and to make sure it's not a covert clue. The owner himself told me it's pronounced "TAW Meh-TAW," the H is silent. OK! What a relief to know. Now I can stop trying to rearrange the letters, and stop repeating "Hotta Metta" in my head whenever this restaurant comes up on Yelp. With the pronunciation squared away, I was able to enjoy my solo-dolo Burmese meal. It was 92 degrees outside, but the only thing I wanted was soup. Asian soup hits differently, and I feel like you can eat Asian soup in any weather. So I got a steamy bowl of ohn no khao swe, which is a coconut and chicken curry soup. I've never had it before, and the vermicelli noodles were a touch more cooked than I prefer, but maybe it's made that way? This was my first Burmese food experience, so I knew nothing. I just sat down and ordered the dishes that looked the most Burmese and the most popular. The soup was delicious and had lots of things in it: a hardboiled egg, green beans, some sort of cake (fish cake?). I also ordered the Burmese samosas, because they sounded great. Little fried triangles of dough stuffed with potato! I was the only person dining in Htaw Metta for a while, because I was there for an early dinner. But soon after, a family came in, and then a couple, and Htaw Metta was poppin'. That made me happy to see lots of people in there. Before they got busy, though, the owner came to chat with me about all kinds of things. The service is excellent and quick, and the restaurant itself is cute and colorful. This is yet another great restaurant in my favorite adopted neighborhood of Nora.

I want to give them more stars, but the ordering process, and what food I ended up with was a confusing mess. There was no one in the place when I went. I wanted to order and take it home. I wanted chicken lo mein but ended up with chicken pad Thai as well. I simply asked that they not put fish sauce or oyster sauce in my food, and she thought I ordered both meals. After they tried to fix it, which they really didn't, I just wanted to get out of there. I didn't get an apology, and felt like it was my fault. It was odd and uncomfortable. I thought she understood what I was asking but there is clearly a language barrier. She didn't repeat my order after wrote it down. I will make sure I ask that they do that next time. The dining area looked tidy and clean enough. The plastic menu was a bit sticky and they didn't have any paper to go menus. The food is just OK. The noodles were chopped up and mangled. I barely had any chicken in my meal. The pricing is what I expected considering inflation, and the amount offered for the price was fair enough. Regardless, I don't think I will be going back. My search continues.
