Our foodie group came to Chiang Mai Thai Noodle for some Thai food for dinner tonight. It was a wonderful dining experience and the food was absolutely superb. This Thai restaurant is very nice and I'm surprised I have not been here before as long as I have lived in Indy. The outdoor patio is beautiful and the ambiance inside is gorgeous with beautiful decor hanging from the ceiling. The service was friendly and professional, but it was slow because there were only two servers on the floor, which was the husband and wife from what I could tell, and the restaurant did get busy throughout the evening, so we had to wait a while to get our orders taken and to get our checks as well. They were busy with take out orders as well, so that contributed to the long wait as well. For this reason alone is why I am giving a four star rating. Other than that, the food was excellent and first class all the way. I ordered the tomkiha soup as a starter, which is a coconut milk soup with tomatoes, onions, and peppers. It was fantastic and tasted incredible. My main entree was the mango curry with rice which blew me away. It was spicy for a #2 level of spice, but it was terrific. The food here is spicy depending on which level of spice you get for your entree. If you do not like very spicy food, then I would recommend getting a #1 level of spice to be safe. You will not be disappointed with whatever you choose from the menu because it is all hefty portions and it will fill you up. A wonderful restaurant in Broad Ripple that does not disappoint and you will leave with a smile on your face. This is a wonderful Thai restaurant that everyone in Indy should experience. I loved it and you will too.

Jalapeño Bomb, the relish was delicious also.

Hubs and I decided to go our first time , on a Sunday for dinner and found this beautiful restaurant completely empty. We were very sad to see it empty when the shops all around where hopping. We were met by staff right away and told to sit anywhere we liked, it is a great space with some bug tables for large parties. We had water in front of us before we even scanned the menu which is always so nice. The restaurant really is beautiful inside with umbrellas hanging from ceiling and beautiful art work on the walls. We had the jalapeño bomb as appetizer and it was amazing, seriously a perfect bite. I like the Pad Kee Moa at most places so I went for it. I wasn't sure how spicy to get it so I went medium, their medium is a mild at most places. It was still delicious and a huge serving. My husband has the cashew nut , he went with Hot and chicken. We definitely know we want spicier next time. This really is a beautiful spot with a parking lot of its own, and I hope to see it full next time we pop in.

This is the restaurant where I tried Thai food for the first time and fell in love with the cuisine. I have visited at least 5 times and I only had problems with the food once. I really love their pad thai but decided to try the thai boat noodles for the first time and really loved it. It entailed different parts of the cow (skin, intestines, muscles, etc) which all melted in your mouth. The broth was hearty and flavorful. I expected the coconut sauce for the mango sticky rice was not as creamy as I anticipated but overall the dish itslef was decent. The fried rice was delicious. The service was great and the ambiance is alright.

The first time I went here, I left feeling unimpressed by the Pad Thai. This time around, I switched it up and got the green curry fried rice and really enjoyed it. It's flavorful with the perfect amount of spice to give it a small kick. The restaurant is always clean and has never been crowded when we've gone in so service was fast.

This is a hidden gem in Broad Ripple. It's on Westfield (off the main drag) and if you blink you might miss the small private parking lot. There's plenty of metered street parking within a block so no worries there. The Thai dishes are authentic (I did not try the sushi) so be prepared for - Thai spicy' if that's what you ask for.

    Great drink choices!

The Good: Sushi was fresh, delicious and priced fantastic. The Bad: Service was painfully slow. Had 5:30 reservations because we had a show at 7. Our food did not come until 6:45. Without an explanation. I tried to ask and was shut down. I get not enough staff, but it wasn't crowded and again, just check in with us.

Stopped here for lunch with my sister today. And I'd give this place an easy 10/10. I like the Thai food in Fishers, and my sister likes the Thai food in Carmel, but this place topped BOTH of our favorite Indy spots. The food was delicious, the plating was beautiful, the service was great, the restaurant was welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Will definitely eat here again.

Went here with my boyfriend yesterday and we loved it! The food was so good like seriously, every dish hit. Our server was the absolute sweetest and super accommodating, which made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself is really cute too. Definitely coming back!

My beef stew noodle soup was good. Not the brown broth I was expecting, but still good.

Hidden gem in Broad Ripple!! With ample amounts of parking this restaurant is tucked on Westfield Blvd. We were hungry driving around Broad Ripple and decided to stop here blindly with not even a yelp or google search for reviews. We were pleasantly surprised by the service, price point and delicious food!! This restaurant also catered to vegetarians which is sometimes more difficult to find with Thai Restaurants. Highly recommend this place for your next Thai fix!! Side note: If you love spicy food, as for their fresh chilis on the side. So good and SOOO spicy.

On a Sunday evening, we found ourselves walking Broad Ripple and wanting to try something different. This little spot caught my attention because we love Thai food. It looks a little more upscale in the photos than it is in person. The restaurant could use some updating and cleaning, I was a little embarrassed that I'd recommended it to our party once we went inside. The food was okay, I believe that most everyone was happy with their dish. Our service was quick, but we were the only occupants so that makes sense. Maybe a tad expensive? I'm not sure we'd go back with the other options in Broad Ripple.

In town on family business, for a couple of days, I was looking for someplace interesting for…read moredinner on a Wednesday evening. It had been before the pandemic since my last time in Indianapolis and much has changed on the city's dining and drinking landscape. Following a recommendation from a bartender at Sundry & Vice, I made my way to BODHI. I didn't have reservations, which I'd strongly recommend, since the place was packed on Wednesday night before 6PM. Fortunately, I was able to snag a seat at the bar, which was ideal since I was dining solo. Upon scanning the hip, high-energy, yet petite dining room, I had a sense of deja vu about it before realizing that I had been in this space before back when it was Black Market. I started off with a cocktail from Bodhi's intriguing and expansive drink list, a 7 Realms of Happiness, made with Old Hamer Bourbon, Faccia Brutto Centerbe, Cappelletti amaro, saffron honey, and lemon. My thought was that it's their twist on a classic Whiskey Smash. It was bittersweet, yet balanced, and simply a delight. As for the food, BODHI's menu is concise hitting the most of the Thai food usual suspects. I had the Papaya Salad and the Shrimp Green Curry. The papaya salad came out first. I was pleasantly surprised by its plating, looking much more like an elaborate entree with its cashews, watermelon radish, and chicharrones than the humble side salad atop a leaf of lettuce or cabbage that I've usually received at virtually every Thai restaurant I've ever been. It was just a pretty plate as it tasted even better than it looked. It was fresh and flavorful as those flavors popped from the perfect balance of salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and funky. It was the best rendition of a papaya salad that I've tasted. My bowl of curry was no less successful in balancing those diverse Thai flavor profiles. Unlike some/many other curries I've had where it seems like a bowl full of sauce with bits and pieces of protein or vegetables, Bodhi's rendition achieved the perfect "solids to sauce" ratio. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the curry itself was bold and bright on my tongue. It was a delicious spoonful. I loved it! For "dessert", I had a second cocktail, the Garnet, a booze-forward whisky drink made with Mars Iwai Tradition, Pinhook Rye, Akashi Ume Plum whisky, Veda Mushroom Liqueur, Balsamic Vermouth, celery & orange bitters, and topped with a Moon Smoke Bubble. It was very unique, tasty and satisfying, if not a bit difficult to describe. I would maybe compare it to an Asian-influenced Vieux Carre and I thought it was excellent. Service from Carli, the bartender, was stellar throughout my night as she was friendly, helpful and exceedingly outstanding in making my drinks. A definite rock star! BODHI was outstanding. I'm not sure how to best describe the place. Was it as an amazing Thai restaurant that also does incredible cocktails or an amazing cocktail bar that also does killer Thai food? Regardless, I could not have enjoyed my experience more. If/when I'm back in Indy, BODHI is at the top of my list for a visit!

It's arriving at 6:30 on a Wednesday evening and being the ONLY patrons in the entire restaurant and waiting 25 mins for chicken satay and 30 minutes for entrees. It seems like more restaurants are prioritizing DoorDash and To-GO orders rather than people who come to enjoy the experience. It's beautifully decorated and has great ambiance. They even have a Pride flag for June. By the time our food arrived I was too hungry to take photos of it and we had to box up most of it to make it to our next destination on time. It's too bad the food takes forever because I LOVE their food. The menu is quite extensive and they have things not many other Thai places have near me. Sadly I will not go back for dinner any time soon.

We came here for the Devour Indy menu which was a great bargain. First off though I ordered hot Jasmine tea. It was served in the cutest fancy teapot with matching cup and saucer. For the appetizer you could choose up to 3 different items, in effect make your own little sampler. I chose the Thai dumpling, crab rangoon and spring roll. This came with both gyoza sauce and sweet and sour sauce. Let me rave about the crab rangoon. It was stuffed to the max with a nice savory filling. The wrapper was one of the most delicate things and the sweet and sour sauce was also spot on. The spring roll was delicious, the dumpling not my favorite, but stuffed with a lot of meat and one of my guests praised it extensively. Then we got to choose a soup and I chose gaeng jued, which is about as difficult to pronounce as it is to eat. Those noodles get quite slippery in the broth and hard to catch. But the effort is well worth it. This soup is absolutely delicious. Then on to the main course... never mind I am already getting full. Chicken Padd Thai for me any day. Medium spice, it was not as spicy as I would like it, so you don't have to be carefully with your spice level. The Padd Thai was delicious and a huge serving. I took most of it home since we still got to enjoy a dessert. Fried bananas please. This came with 4 large pieces, so basically a whole banana if you put it end to end. It had some coconut rolled up in the wrapper also and then a drizzle of honey. Very good. Glad I saved some room for it. I will be back for sure. This place is worth it, even at full price.
