A great hidden gem on the Southside of Indy. The sushi rolls taste amazing along with the steamed and fried dumplings that equally are great. They have friendly, attentive service as well. If you're looking for a different sushi spot on the southside, you should definitely give them a try.

We decided to check out this place after hearing from a few others about it being tasty. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted and sat. It was not very busy, but they did seem to have a steady take out business. The dining area is clean, but pretty basic looking not really much of an ambiance to speak of. The server (who was the only one) was very friendly and attentive to our needs. They have a little bit of everything from Chinese to Thai to sushi. I got the General Tso which was very good and unique to others out there. My wife got a poke bowl and liked it as well. I am not counting the days to get back here, but definitely a solid option for Asian cuisine.

i love stopping by weekly for sushi and this place is by far my favorite sushi restaurant. it's family owned and the staff are so kind and friendly. The restaurant has a small yet elegant feel. The food is always fresh and delicious. We had our salad and miso before we ordered our favorite rolls.

Went here with my friend today instead of going to sushi boss again. The ambiance was nice and quiet, They were really nice and oh my gosh the sushi was probably the best I've had so far, even better than sushi boss. Not to add I had some left over and I asked them if they could hold it for me while I went out shopping and would be back and they ended up throwing it away and the owner remade me both sushi rolls for free. Very good experience, oh they also gave me and my friend this salad and miso soup as complimentary for dining there. Love it

The place was very clean and we were greeted right when we walked in. The staff was so kind and attentive. Food was delicious and at a very reasonable price! We happened to stumble across this place and look forward to going back.

The Kung Pao Chicken was exceptional--perfectly cooked balance of heat and flavors, and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. It came with soup and salad and the main portion size was more than generous. The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Sakura Spice for anyone seeking authentic Asian cuisine here in Indy.

We had a movie to catch and about 1hr to get a quick bite. Sushi places are usually hit or miss as far as quick service; this place is a hit! We got the Crunchy Cali, Fried Cali, Spicy Crab & OMG roll & we were in and out of there in literally 40 minutes. The little salad and soup they serve as a complimentary appetizer was also so tasty my 3yo ate everything up. Lots of love goes into the food and service at this family owned restaurant. Added to my favorites :)

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was absolutely delicious. Serving size on the drunken noodles was huge and gave 2 additional meals. Hidden gem!

I happened to visit on a warmer day so I was able to see the space with the garage door open. It was golden hour and it had everything all lit up. Very beautiful. Our service was amazing, couldn't have asked for a better server. I can't remember her name but she was so detailed in her descriptions, thoughtful with her suggestions, and had the perfect amount of attentiveness. Now on to the fun parts.... Drinks were a hit! We told our server what we like and they recommended a couple options. I again can't remember the exact name of the drink but mine was a gin cocktail. I'll attach some photos for you. As for the food, every bite I took was delicious. Our table shared the fried brussel sprouts and the ginger miso salad. A very lovely way to ease into our meal on a lighter note. They split up the salad onto two plates for us, which was sweet of them. The portion was pretty good for a $12 salad. Very refreshing. Brussel sprouts were absolutely fire. Get them! Along with that, I also ordered the tempura shrimp maki roll. Inside the roll was cucumber and avocado with giant tempura shrimp right on top, drizzled in spicy mayo. The presentation was cool, a slightly deconstructed version of what I would get somewhere else. There wasn't a single bite left on the plate. I would order all three of these dishes again in a heartbeat. Perfect for a date night or special occasion, but also works for just grabbing a bite with friends. Whenever I find myself back in Indy, Modita will be on my list.

We had a reservation at 6:45, and were sat shortly after that time. The place was busy for a Friday night, and was somewhat loud. Our waitress greeted us quickly, and was on top of things throughout the night. I started off with a ginger miso salad, based on recommendations on this page. Personally, I could have went without the $12 salad. I would have paid more like $6 for the amount of actual salad I got. The dressing was good, but nothing extraordinary. I did ask for no cucumbers- I could taste a faint taste of cucumbers on the salad, so think they just took them off after they were already placed. We split some Bao Buns. These were the highlight of the show. The pork on them was thick, the slaw was fresh, and the bao bun itself was fluffy. We split two dishes for dinner- the short rib and the chicken udon noodles. The chicken udon noodles were fantastic- packed full of flavor and tons of toppings in it. The short rib fell a little short of my expectations, but I had high expectations to begin with. We have had the short rib multiple times in the past- and normally it is a hunk of meat, similar to a roast. Now, it is strips of tiny pieces of meat with a bone attached to it. If the owner/general manager is reading this- GO BACK TO THE ROAST STYLE- the strips of meat was too much work to eat. Still packed full of great flavor though. I had the bridge to Anshun for my drink. I had never had Baiju before, but glad I tried it. It was a tangy drink that was also sweet- would say it's a must try. Overall, some changes since our last visit that weren't expected, but overall had a great evening here. Can't wait to return.

They have sushi, bowls, pho and a variety of other options as well as sharing space with a cake bakery. I'm not sure how that all fits in but as we were there for lunch we didn't try the sweet treats this time. I ordered a veggie bowl which had a variety of sauces, but was able to make it vegan which is always appreciated. They don't have any vegan pho or ma y other vegan options, but this is a good spot for a quick rice bowl meal if you are out and about. My friend got the Pho which she said was amazing and definitely worth returning to get again. I do wish someone would come up with a vegan based Pho as they are delicious! Overall the flavors were good and satisfying and the service was wonderful for such a casual spot. I would go back if I needed a quick meal and was in the mood for a rice bowl. I do think they should put on a few more veggies as it was mainly rice in my bowl, but the rice was delicious and with enough sauce it felt more of a meal. Definitely worth a try!

I love heat and thought it was perfect, but if you're sensitive to spice you may want to ask for mild or none. The kimchi here is excellent (and available to purchase in small or medium containers). Their radish kimchi in particular is amazing--it's a must-try. Best of all, Sisters Korean is locally owned and operated. Highly recommend supporting them and enjoying a flavorful, authentic meal!
