Husband and I went for lunch a few weeks ago and were immediately impressed by the exceptional service ; very personable, intelligent, accommodating, and attentive. The extensive menu provided my vegan husband and my gluten-free self with so many options it was hard to choose. The spring roll appetiser was presented beautifully with aesthetic floral touches so unusual for a Chinese restaurant with high value price-points. I ordered what my photo features for my main dish, a very tasty fish noodle soup with its spice level dialed down to accommodate my lower threshold. The bowl was so large I got another three meals out of the left-overs (I am a small eater) making the meal one of the best values ever had. Can't remember what my husband chose but he can't wait to go back. Seating was cushioned and comfortable, tables well-spaced, atmosphere lovely enough for a semi-casual date, and air-con a welcome break from the summer heat. The lovely server told us the restaurant recently changed ownership, explaining fresh attention to details.

You do not want to miss out on this spot. Everything was fresh, flavorful and lite. This may be some of the best Chinese I have had in the capital region. The service is attentive and makes recommendations for exciting dishes. The restaurant has a roomy Booths for eating in or you can order ahead to take out.

Incredible food! Everything was a standout as well as the service. We ordered a chongqing, garlic chicken and Mongolian beef as the protein options (chongqing was by far the favourite) and lo mein and cumin noodles. We ordered the lunch special which is unbeatable for $12 and includes a full portion, soup and rice. We will be coming back again!

Excellent food in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I had an enjoyable time with four dear close friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed all our meals and kept sharing!

Absolute best authentic Sichuanese food around in the entire NY state! My grandparents are from Sichuan so I would know! The flavors and energy are everything my growing up stood for. So thrilled to find this gem for my folks on a random whim while headed to Daisuki on Sunday (as they were closed)...glad Yelp had this in my radar, which is surprising since only one person reviewed this place and got ahead of me! Thankful for their review of Sichuan Wok because I wouldn't have had a clue! Everything was delicious and I mean every peppercorn, spice, vegetable leaf, stem, bone, fat, and protein options! I ordered the best dishes that brought me home and the chef/owner cooked it for me personally! I'm still drooling. He delivered and so did his lovely wife on stellar customer service. I was definitely home. Happy eating!

I don't like spicy food, with that the staff was so kind in giving me recommendations and adjusting the spice level for me.

Somehow a local favorite in some circles but just about the worst, blandest Asian food I have had…read more I bet self negating monks who eschew spice eat tastier food. Literally a crime against cuisines they purport to serve. It's like the recipes were reverse engineered by looking at pictures of food.

Mike & Mike are very nice, friendly & patient in explaining their food, ingredients & how they make…read moreit. They know their stuff! 1st: I Do Not recommend the Pad Thai. Have had it at the Troy Farmer's Market & at the Student Union & for all their effort in making it, with 10 ingredients including mustard greens & bok choy, there is zero flavor. (Tried Chicken & tofu orders) The pad thai sauce needs some umami, fish sauce, tamarind? I'm not sure. Pad Thai is not supposed to be spicy, so I am confused as to everyone ordering it, & being asked a spice level. Maybe the spic covers up the non-sauce that the noodles are tossed in? I even trekked up to the student union to pick up lunch one day, and asked for extra Tamarind sauce. I got a dollop of brown sauce on top, that tasted like extra salty. Hoisin sauce. And then some more further down in the bowl. Such a disappointment, I couldn't eat all that salt, threw it out. Should I ask for "extra Thai flavor" next time? Really don't know. **Pad Thai is not a Spicy dish friends.** 2nd: Definitely go for: A Rice Bowl with -the string beans. Crispy with a kick of spice -the beets at the Farmer's Market. Never thought I would finish off beets, but this will convert you. I crave this! Too bad they don't have it at the RPI Student Union during the week. -green curry chicken is not bad. Spice comes on a little bit later. -The Mango Lassi is $4.(average since coffee & battenkill milk costs about the same at the Mkt.) A nice option to have, Mike said that it's made with rose water. Needs a bit more cardamom. -Had a nice to-go cold peanut noodle chicken noodle bowl from the RPI Student Union. They're now on a new remodeled floor at the Union, the menu looks smaller. Maybe it will take some time to build it back up, or they may not have the room for extras. -always fun seeing their homemade ice cream flavors according to the holiday. Very creative & fun chefs. Follow their Facebook for updates. So, too bad I had to average out my review to 3 stars for TMC, but the Pad Thai is very disappointing. My mother bought one & didn't like it either & she's more forgiving with food. Yet customers seem to really like it. Get schooled on Pad Thai at Sukothai in Albany folks! Or even Chom's Cafe In Troy.
