A fantastic little craft beer and wine bar hidden right in downtown Kirkland. The atmosphere here is really fun. It's a smaller, intimate space, but the seating is super comfortable and the overall vibe is very relaxing. They have a solid selection of about 12 or so beers on tap, along with a great variety of other drinks. I've also heard they host some fun community events here. I haven't had a chance to try one yet. the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in Kirkland and looking for a chill, comfortable spot to have a quality drink. I will absolutely be back! read more

Found this little brewery while walking around Kirkland waterfront. Kitchen had just closed so couldn't order any food. Did a flight and I enjoyed all of them. Nice friendly staff and met some nice local residents there. Nice little spot to hang out. read more

I'm not sure what the hype was about but I personally wasn't a fan. I tried coming here during open hours and they were closed, with no sign on the door. I ended up going downstairs to Flatstick and then when we were leaving, saw Side Hustle had opened and decided to try it. The beer selection was fine, although the one I wanted was out. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the falafel and it was SO hard and had a weird fishy smell/taste (we wondered if it was cooked in the same oil as fish). The empanadas were ok, but nothing wow worthy or memorable, especially for the price. The venue was pretty much empty the whole time we were there, except for one other table, so it really didn't have much of a vibe. Unfortunately wasn't impressed enough to try again. read more

I stopped by for a drink with friends and had a great time. They serve a wonderful selection of wine and beer from local spots, are dog friendly, and have lots of games and fun elements! The vibes in here are really fun, it's a great place to hang out with friends. We got a cozy couch spot and stayed for hours because we had so much fun! We had minimal interaction with the staff, but the times we were at the counter were pleasant. I will say, the prices are really inflated. It was like $20 per glass for wines that are sold in the wineries for $20 a bottle. Very pricey for what it is, but still has a good atmosphere. read more

This brewery was a good experience but in my mind it's more like a taphouse as they didn't have any of their own beer. I did a look on Untapped and the brewery appeared and had about three beer entries so they do make their own but it looks like it's in small amounts. Not to say our experience was unpleasant. I got a great Tangerine Pale Ale that the beertender said was from Bellevue Brewing Company. It gave me a reminder of how good that particular brewery is. Steve had a stout from another guest tap and that was great too! So they do a very good job bringing in great guest taps. Pretty much all of the guest taps were very local. They were mostly from breweries in the Seattle area and on the Bellevue side so that was good to see as many places have guest taps from breweries all over the country(not that I'm complaining about that). Outside food allowed as they don't serve food. Loads of surrounding restaurants to choose from. Clean bathroom on the premises. Not a huge tap selection but the vibe is nice. The wall facing the street is a huge class window allowing for great views. In the summer it looks like it may open up to make the space feel even larger. Fun and inviting spot to enjoy a beer. Good selection of beer. Fun that it's rotating breweries. They offer a small bites menu and wine, cider, kombucha and sparkling waters. Lots of seating and cool atmosphere- sort of like a pub, sort of PNW, sort of swanky. Music was at a good volume- loud enough to get the vibe but I wasn't shouting over my beer. You can never have enough options to grab a local beer! We visited Side Hustle right at opening on Sunday (3pm). The employee there was very friendly and helped us find the right drinks for our visit. She was happy to meet our dog and brought over a fresh bowl of water. Yes, dog friendly! The drinks here are from local breweries. They had a good variety and can make sure everyone in your party has something they will enjoy. The location is right above flatstick, but has a completely different atmosphere, so they certainly don't have to compete directly with each other. This seems like an excellent spot to grab a drink and chat with friends, and there is even some brand new board games available that you are encouraged to grab. Side hustle is a great new addition to the Kirkland waterfront! read more

Bartender was super helpful. I tried a dark beer to start (porter?). Was on tap and was delicious. My coworkers tried an IPA and a Pilsner (both on tap). Everyone liked their beer. For my 2nd I tried a sour (from a can) which also tasted great. It was nice that there was a baseball game on the tv as well. Didn't try any snacks or food, but maybe next time. I was impressed with my beer, there were lots of good options. Games and dog toys for my pup, that was a plus. It was a little unclear how service was done there, because there are qr codes at the tables but you go to the counter to order. I think this is a great place to order beers as there is a great selection, but I don't recommend coming here if you're looking for food... it's an experimental kitchen but I think the experiment is to see if people like cold food? As a scientist, I'd say this hypothesis was not supported. May be back for the beers, but not the food. read more

Stopped in for a couple of brews here last week and left with the impression that we will be back again as we begin working closer to this part of town. Love the location and the art within the space itself. It's small and quaint, but they do a great job with the space afforded to them. Love all the beer-centric quotes around the space, made us giggle a couple of times. The service was amazing. The person behind the bar was quick, efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Even warned me about one beer I was buying, that it wasn't brewed to its normal expectations, and he was correct - and he swapped the beer out for me when I mentioned I couldn't finish it. We sat at the end of the brewery which looks out onto the street and it felt like we were sitting on a friend's porch while enjoying a beautiful day. Oh, and the beer! It was above average in my opinion which is more than good enough for me to recommend and go back again. Also, they are dog-friendly which is always a big plus for me. read more

Trivia running around the clock on TapTV is what brought us in. So happy to have a place to play trivia and bring the dog too!! Would be fantastic to have trivia just on 1 or 2 TVs so we can still watch sports. If that is an option- I know where I'll be hanging for March Madness! I didn't try the food, but the bartender was VERY kind and was on the go making sure everyone had everything. Thank goodness this place arrived in downtown Kirkland! It is a drinking spot that we needed!! Lots of options for everyone - beer, wine, cider, and even non alcoholic beverages! All are locally sourced! There is countertop seating by the bar, more comfy living room like seating, and more traditional table and bench seating available!
