I checked out Side Street Dive on a Tuesday night. The vibe is great--cool layout, welcoming crowd, and they even had trivia going on, which added a fun energy to the space. Food-wise, no complaints. We ordered boneless wings, two Philly cheesesteaks with fries, and lemoncello desserts. Everything was well-presented and tasted really good. The bartender was attentive and did a nice job overall. That said, I left a bit disappointed. Between two glasses of Pinot Noir, two draft beers, and dinner, the bill came to around $160. Not unreasonable--but coming from someone in the industry, I was surprised there wasn't even a small gesture like a buyback, especially since we were celebrating my cousin's birthday. When I mentioned it, the manager asked if we were on happy hour drinks, which didn't really feel relevant to the point I was making. It wasn't about getting something for free--it was more about the experience and that extra touch of hospitality that makes a place stand out. They've only been open about a month, so I'm definitely willing to give them another shot. There's a lot of potential here, and the foundation is strong. Just hoping they lean a little more into that hospitality piece moving forward. read more

My wife and I have been regulars here since it opened. We loved Tuesday night trivia. The food is good, not gourmet by any standard but good pub fare. Tanya who was the bartender on Tuesday was amazing. Friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, they are no longer open on Tuesday and this once nice neighborhood bar had become a B level Broadway show, at best. They decided to go for this singing server "experience " .. Ok but EVERY DAY. Give me a break. They took a kind of unique concept and completely over did it. Occasionally this would be a draw . We loved the place but if we want a sub par broadway experience we will go to the Argyle theater. I really don't want someone walking and sitting where we eat. Sorry. Ambiance is really nice! Great place for outdoor dining, it is very spacious and I could see it being very busy for the summer. The Service was great. However, the food was just okay for me. Pretty Average. I would recommend going here for a good social gathering. read more

I went to the grand opening for Side Street Dive and it was such a great event. The place has a really fun, laid back vibe and you can tell it is going to be a great spot to hang out. They did a really nice job with everything. The food was really good and not just typical bar food, and the drinks were on point. Everything felt well put together, especially for an opening event. The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. I ended up going back after the event just to see how it felt on a regular night and it definitely held up. The drinks were consistently good and the service was just as friendly and attentive. It is always a good sign when a place feels just as solid after opening night. I was blessed to be about to go the Yelp pre-grand opening of this establishment. The place was huge, with a spacious bar and an outdoor area as well, which I know will be amazing in the summer. The staff were 10/10, friendly, accommodating and just really nice. I started out with the spinach and artichoke pinwheel, which was really good, also don't let me forget about the Bruschetta we had as well. Then came the chicken parm as well as different sections of pizza. I tried the margarita pizza and the buffalo pizza, which was my absolute fave! It was just the right amount of heat. Great event! Super spacious interior and fun/industrial decor. We were served up lots of carbs. My fav was def the pizza. Cocktails were good but there was some inconsistency with them. I tried the Ranch water but I liked the Spicy Paloma way better. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The Photo Booth is always fun by DJ Dos. And loved the live music by Anthony. We had a fabulous fun night at the side street dive! Run for the spicy buffalo chicken pizza! You will not regret it. The staff is top notch! Come on down and enjoy the music and cool vibe! It has the outside deck from the old emporium! Dance floor after 10 on the weekends starting next week! Wheel chair accessibility is difficult. We brought our own ramp to get my hubby in. Wheel chairs not can get down to the deck. There are high top tables and regular height tables. Accessible bathroom is not big enough and does not have bars. Overall I loved the vibe!! read more

Well I can not comment on the food as my party never got to order anything because we sat at our table for 20 minutes and no one came to our table to take our order. One person came to put plates on our table and walked away. We finally got up and walked out. We were a party of 7 including 3 children under 6. We went for a don't tell comedy show which they cancelled 15 minutes after the scheduled start time but that was due to weather so no fault of bar but contributed to overall experience there. The service here was absolutely awful! We had to wait at least 30 minutes to order our only round of drinks before show was supposed to start. The food was also mediocre at best - pizza was soggy and the bruschetta appetizer was drowned in so much balsamic it was almost inedible. They had two bartenders working on a Friday night with a scheduled event planned. It was a joke among us and other guests who joked about the need to plan 30 minutes ahead of needing anything from staff. The group next to us asked for napkins, they never came - we had to take themselves ourselves from the bar. People asked for plates to eat the food, also never came and there were no plates we could try to take ourselves. So many better places to go in Patchogue. Just a complete joke in terms of how they staff and plan for weekend with a scheduled event at that. STAY AWAY!! read more

They let a dog sit on the table and eat off a plate of food. The same table you sit and eat at. When the owner of the dog took the plate away the dog proceeded to lick the food off the table. When I brought it to someone's attention they shrugged and said "we're dog friendly". It's disgusting. read more

Wish I could leave zero stars. Made a reservation 5 days in advance for the Knicks game. Arrived and was told by the hostess it would be an hour or more wait because people were sitting at reserved tables and "there's nothing we can do". The atmosphere is laid-back but still has a fun energy that makes you want to stay a while. Enjoyed a sneak peak at the Side Street Dive in Patchogue that officially opens today, March 13. The atmosphere is lively and fun with eclectic artwork on the walls that has a vintage nod. The bar is large with lots of seating and the drinks were delicious. The s'mores martini comes topped with a toasted marshmallow that gets "roasted" in front of you. My favorite drink of the night was the Italian Cosmo which was light and refreshing. Food will include a variety of pizzas, pastas, cheesesteak, burgers and more. There is a lot of outdoor seating which is sure to be a popular spot this summer. read more

Do they have a choice for 0 stars? went to the Love Island watch party where it was packed and they had one bartender on. waited a half hour before I finally got up to get a manager to complain about not having our drinks yet. the waitress finally brought over 1 drink and a plate of cheese fries that were on the house. then minutes later brought over another drink. No silverware, no napkins, no plates on the table, we had to get up and get that of the side stand ourselves. 45 minutes in we finally got the 3rd drink. the waitress barely came to the table. I can say with confidence this was the worst dining experience I've ever had. I will never go back to this place again. read more

I just went there tonight. Understaffed and the bartender ignored us and 2 other couples for over 20 minutes. We tried to get eye contact to get a drink but she didn't even bother. She didn't acknowledge anyone and we saw another couple that was waiting longer than us frustrated and left. Her friends came to the bar and was greeted and got drinks right away. That's when we had enough and left and we talked to other people and they said she was doing that all night. Too bad it seems like a nice place and we will try again hopefully in the summer when they get more staff or a bartender that knows how to do her job. We were walking around town and expected a little pizza spot but it was a huge restaurant with a good vibe. The kitchen was close to closing but they made us two pies to go. Samantha was really welcoming and kind. The pizza came out fresh and was a perfect combination of every different style of classic. It was really good and theres a parking lot too. A bonus is that it's right across the street from one of my favorite local venues. Definitely will be back to try their salad and pasta. read more
