For a dive bar the drink prices were just not ok. 6.50 Jim beam at a dive bar? 8 dollar beers? Bartender was good but was focus on the regular guest. I get that. Touch tunes is jam packed. The place boasts a few booths, tables, and a pool table in the back. The bartender was attentive and friendly, and the clientele definitely seemed to be neighboring locals. They have an impressive craft beer list, and the usual domestic staples as well. Food was good, recommend the cheese curds. SSS is a neighborhood bar on a quiet corner in Lakeview behind St. Alphonsus church that looks unassuming from the outside, but the tiny kitchen puts out some really good food. Bartenders were friendly, nice selection of beers, and they had NA beers for my pregnant wife. I'll definitely be returning to get the pizza again and wash it down with some Oberon on tap. The basil was fresh and pungent and the sauce was flavored well. The crust was interesting, as it was the classic Chicago tavern style, crisp and buttery like a cracker. We also ordered cheese curds, which were delicious. Light, airy fried bits of mozzarella served with ranch. Overall, this place was cool. The food was great and fairly priced. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to everyone. I just wished it was a little more filled with people, esp after being so isolated during the pandemic. My bf and I agreed we would only go back if we were in the area and wanted to watch a game. But if you live around the block, def make this a staple. read more

Came here Saturday for a $5.50 burger/fry meal with a couple beers. The burger was decent, I thought it was over cooked a little, but it's quite alright with how much I was paying. The beer we got was pretty good, one was from Anchor Brewing & the other was Ommegang, both solid beers. My buddy and I actually got free glassware from Anchor Brewing, pretty awesome glass! They have Three Floyd's Zombie Dust fairly often, which can be hard to come by, along with typically having some Three Floyd's beer on draft (Alpha King or Gumball Head). They have great pizza, wings, and cheese curds. I recommend the bacon avocado grilled cheese! The staff here are awesome and take good care of their patrons.
