Would you believe that an airport lounge is nicer than some higher end bars and restaurants? That is the experience here at Sidecar which is a slightly new concept for Centurion Lounge. The name Sidecar is fitting since a sidecar on a drink is a small little shot to give you an extra boost to your libation. Centurion created these small lounges tucked away where you can get some respite in your airport travels. Experience here was nothing but great. They do offer smaller bites so there is no grabbing a plate and playing food Tetris like you see at the food area of many lounges, especially the Centurion ones. The food is based on recipes from many famous James Beard chefs like Kwame Onwuachi and Sarah Gruenberg. No need for you to get up and go to the bar as everything is brought to you and you can order via a QR code. You can also sit at the bar. Surprisingly this place was a bit empty on the day we visited. For drinks I had a platinum mule and a mojito. I enjoy mojitos and even more so when actual fresh mint is used. So many places I have been to offer mojitos say they are out of mint but yet still serving the drink. How is that possible unless they are using mint simple syrup and premade flavors......which they are. Appreciate the effort in using fresh ingredients. Service all the way around was great and I have not marked an airport lounge with a five-star rating since Japan. Well deserved of this rating. If it is a complaint about this place, it is most likely related to the constant changes to lounge access or it being full.

I stopped by the Sidecar by Centurion Lounge at LAS and was lucky enough to get a seat. Keep in mind they only allow guests to enter within 90 minutes of their flight, and seating is very limited. The lounge is beautiful, intimate, and feels more high end than a typical airport lounge. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Felipe, the host, was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the wait staff often stopped by to check on you. You order all of your food and drinks by scanning a QR code at your table. I had the shrimp and grits, the beet salad, and a couple of cocktails. Everything was well prepared, beautifully presented, and tasted great. I didn't notice any families here. It was mostly solo travelers and couples. If you have the chance to visit, I'd definitely recommend Sidecar over the larger Centurion Lounge if you're looking for a more elegant and elevated experience. Just be aware that seating is limited, and you can't check in until 90 minutes before your flight.

First and foremost, the staff here are incredibly nice and efficient! They make you feel so welcome and like you are relaxing at someone's house living room. We have been twice and haven't had to wait thank goodness. Funny we were sat at same place both times. You do get seated by staff, although you could ask for a different place to sit and its up to them to say yes or no. You only get 90 minutes so plan accordingly and be hungry! The place is small but so beautiful and quaint. There are 2 restrooms which are clean and roomy. The furniture is comfy and is a mix of long benches, chairs and the bar. Would be difficult to get a big group in though, mostly for couples or single travelers. The menu is QR and there are plenty of things to try. If there are two of you, very easy to get one of each and share. The food is amazing and comes out quick. This last time we had the lobster roll and it was in the buttery fresh bread. And we had the cute cheese plate, that was so good! We still love the Centurion but this location is great to help with overcrowding and just gives us something new.

There is no Sidecar in MIA or FLL, so it was a treat to experience this at LAS. There was a wait, so I headed over to the Centurion Lounge first (where there was also a wait). It was worth it. Moody, reserved seating, curated menu, bespoke cocktails, YES! One of the two women at the front could have been more polished (the taller, slimmer of the two), after she walked me around the bar, she threw her hand at the last table, I stopped. She did it again then turned to look at me and said, "there." Every time I have an opportunity, I will choose Sidecar by the Centurion Lounge in spite of some people's lack of professionalism.

Been hearing about Sidecar by Centurion lounge since the beginning of the year! I had the pleasure of visiting it during July 4th weekend in Vegas. Sidecar is located up the escalator after getting off the D terminal tram. It is tucked in a little corner, right across the Capital One Lounge. When I spotted in, I scanned the QR code to get on the waitlist. Sidecare does not have waitlist on the amex app, I had to be physically there to scan the code. 90 minutes before departure time only. Since it was just me, I waited about 20-30 minutes before they texted me a code to come in Upon walking in, it gave lux/premium vibes, with marble tables and counters, mauve and gold accents. It felt like an upscale restaurant, as there was immediate water and napkins and cutlery set down at my table as soon as I sat down. I also had someone walk me to my table and explain the QR code menu and wifi. outlets under every seat. its a smaller lounge, so it seats up to 33 people. because it is smaller, they offered to put my luggage to the the side so it wouldn't block foot traffic. I ordered almost everything on the food menu - mini lobster roll: a top fave. the roll was buttery and I could really taste the toasty buttery bread paired with the sweet lobster and dollop of caviar - truffle fries: oooo I couldn't finish this, but it was so good. paired with a truffle aioli as well. they were soft pillowy fries and they were still yummy when cold -crispy salad with oranges: nice refresher course in between bites of food. -chicken burger: I thought the design was cool since they had the amex logo stamped on it. The chicken was was alright but the coleslaw and bun made it dry. orange flavor olive oil cake: MUST GET. moist and enjoyed the dollops of cream and the berry jam/compote on the side. It wasn't super sweet so it was great for my asian taste buds I also got the espresso martini. delicious per usual. I did not have time to try the other drinks they had, but they had a wonderful selection of beers wines and cocktails! the bar looked like there were 3 people working. can't wait to come back!!

Great service and staff. It's a small lounge but it has all the key needs of a centurion lounge. Bar, drinks, good food you order and they bring out. It's not meant for long stays bc it's small but so long as your flight is within 90 ministers you can come inside (pause) . Highly recommend and great service levels

What a find! The American Express Lounge at Harry Reid Airport is usually very busy. If you want a slightly different experience, look just a short walk away for the recently opened Sidecar Lounge. It's literally tucked away around the corner of the Amex Lounge. A "speakeasy" feel due to the location, size and menu options. From the train taking you to terminal D, go up the left escalators. Once at the main level, make a left U turn around the escalators. Follow the white walls on your right a very short distance and you'll come upon a brown wooden wall and the entrance to Sidecar! There were two hosts at the entrance checking in guests. The while there was a bit of a wait, travelers were exiting as we arrived. Seating is VERY limited compared to the Amex Lounge. Maybe 6 seats along the bar with 2 additional spots around the corner. 4 individual tables along the window and a small couch in the corner for groups that might seat a total of 10. There are QR codes at every table to order from the menu. Servers will also welcome you to the lounge and happily take orders. Food menu is limited but unique. I tried most of the listed items including the Citrus Caesar Salad, Lobster Roll and the Charcuterie Board. I also enjoyed The Spa Day mocktail which was recommended by our server and very refreshing. Julie also enjoyed the lemon dessert that was tasty! All the food and drinks are promptly brought to your table. Handcrafted drinks are plentiful. There are two clean and convenient restrooms located just past the bar. Keep in mind that your stay here is limited. You can check in only 90 minutes prior to your flight. Great find at Harry Reid for a new unique Amex Lounge experience. Keep on Yelp'n!

I had the opportunity to visit Sidecar by the Centurion Lounge today, and it completely exceeded my expectations. This is American Express' first ultra-premium Sidecar lounge in the U.S., located just about a minute away from the current Centurion Lounge in Las Vegas. The experience is on another level. They offer an incredible selection of drinks, from handcrafted cocktails to premium whiskey and top-shelf spirits. The food was outstanding--my favorites were the mini lobster roll topped with caviar and the perfectly crispy truffle fries. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and worthy of a fine dining restaurant. Even the smallest details stand out. They even serve premium branded bottled water instead of generic house water, which really shows the level of attention they put into the guest experience. If you're flying through Las Vegas, I highly recommend arriving early so you have time to experience the Sidecar Lounge before your flight. You'll immediately notice the difference from a typical airport lounge. Now I just hope American Express opens one at SFO soon! This is easily one of the best airport lounge experiences I've ever had.

Best Centurion lounge I've been to yet. To be fair this is more a restaurant than a lounge. If you have the black card you can just go to the desk and they will give you next available. Platinums will have to queue and I can tell it's tight on time. Food was excellent and high quality. Service was great and fast. Got in and out in 20 minutes. Beautiful decor.

Love this lounge! This is always our first stop now when we travel! So far when we come here; it's been early and not during the busy time. We got the breakfast a couple times now and it's as good as lunch/dinner! I love how they have healthy options like the chia pudding or avocado toast! Service is still great! Everyone is so professional and welcoming! Great ambiance! I love how exclusive this is. This is what you pay the annual fee for.

Other than the wait time to get in, this place is phenomenal! I'm not even going to fool with getting into the Centurion Lounge going forward tbh. They assign seats, have a curated menu, deliver drinks & food to your table, and have a tarmac view for each seat. Chris the bartender was amazing! Very attentive while balancing making drinks for the entire joint - mark of a true professional! Every time I come through, will be stopping here for sure!

New Amex lounge at LAS. Elevated service and curated menu at this mini-speakeasy style airport lounge. Intimate space ideal for 1-2 people. Note: Entry from 90 mins before flight time only (if you arrive earlier, go to the main Amex lounge, entry up to 3 hours before flight time) Location: At the top of the main escalator at Terminal D. Tip: Faster if you join the virtual waitlist on the Amex App, while riding the tram to the terminal. Vibe: Intimate speakeasy bar. Mostly single seating cocktail tables and long bar seating. Can accommodate 2 people at side by side tables or seats. Tough for larger groups (go to main Amex lounge). Tables are very small and space is tight. So if you prefer to spread out, go to the main Amex lounge. Food: Order food and drinks via QR code. Food comes up super quick and tasty. Food definitely feels elevated here. Waiters working the tables are attentive, tip is appreciated. Been here for borne breakfast and lunch and really enjoyed the food. Highlight: Lobster Roll is legit and Shrimp Grits are legit. Quick in and out.

I've been to most the lounges at major airports, Centurion, Capital One, Chase. This was my first time at the Sidecar. I don't think a lot of AMEX cardholders even know it's there as it's tucked in the corner almost like a pseudo-speakeasy. It's very small but upscale like the lounge at a nice steakhouse. You scan the QR code at your table to get the menu and can even order online. If you are in a rush, skip ordering online and flag your server down and let them know you are in a hurry. The menu is upscale (mini lobster roll with caviar (which was very bready), etc) but VERY limited. There are a lot more food options in the main Centurion Lounge. Also the Sidecar has only bar seats and lounge seating with very small tables. Not a good place to work. My gut opinion is that it felt a bit contrived to try to make the clientele feel pampered, which probably is appreciated by the more fussier travelers. Maybe they have a few more top shelf liquor and wine options but think overall you're not missing much going to the main lounge especially if you want a more open feel and space to work. Because the sidecar is lesser known, the wait, at least for now, may be a bit shorter than the main lounger but honestly it's probably a crap shoot. You could inquire at the check-in at both then decide. Because it is assigned seating the bar service is relatively quick without a long line of people like you get in the main lounger. So if you want really good bar service like they have at the Seattle lounge, this would be preferred over the main lounge.

After receiving notification that our late afternoon flight leaving Vegas was delayed by an hour,…read moremy wife and I decided that the best use of our time would be to find a lounge. We have been to many lounges, but have never been to the Centurion Lounge in the Harry Reid Airport. Following being checked-in by a friendly employee, we made our way through the fairly large lounge. This lounge has a plethora of seating - whether you're traveling solo or as a group - they have you covered! After circling the lounge twice, we were able to secure a table for two that was being vacated. Once we were settled, we made our way through the buffet which included a salad bar and hot food section. There was also an area with a variety of juices and coffee for those that need a late afternoon boost. Once I curated a perfectly hearty meal - carbs, protein, veggies - I headed to the bar for an adult beverage. A friendly bartender greeted me and promptly started pouring the Sauvignon Blanc that I requested. One thing to note is that you can only retrieve a drink for yourself - I ordered a glass of wine for my wife, but she had to physically come to the bar to obtain it. I'm not sure if this is a rule enforced by the lounge or if it was that particular bartender's policy. The food was surprisingly well-seasoned and cooked. Also, the Sauvignon Blanc that I enjoyed two glasses of, was deliciously refreshing - especially considering that it was a blistering hot day. Since I needed to get some work done, I was very appreciative of the strong and steady Wi-Fi connection. If you're looking to kick your feet up and enjoy a meal before a flight, I highly recommend this particular Centurion Lounge.

This lounge also offers a separate child room equipped with TVs and kids toys. If needed they have office supplies, printers, paper, etc. Access is free with your AMEX Platinum card and (1) extra guests will cost you $50. The staff here is always very accommodating and quick to clear your food items. Before you arrive make sure to check if there's a waitlist. If there is a wait, add yourself while making your way to the lounge so there's little to no wait to enter.

Unfortunately, reservations aren't easily changed without contacting customer support, so I kept my original booking. Check-in was quick, and the staff was friendly. They pointed me toward the restrooms, but as a first-time visitor I found the layout a little confusing, and there wasn't much signage directing you to them. The lounge itself was very busy, but it was still a nice escape from the crowded terminal. The food was probably the biggest letdown. There was a small salad bar, a couple of hot items, and a few snacks that looked like they'd been sitting out for a while. The bar looked nice and wasn't crowded, although I didn't have a drink, and I didn't notice any drink menus or specials displayed. The restrooms were clean enough but felt like a standard airport restroom and were out of toilet seat covers. If you've never experienced an airport lounge before, this is a nice place to relax, recharge, and get away from the crowds. That said, I don't think it's worth the $60 price tag based on what's offered. Since my credit card gives me access to a lounge in the D Gates that I personally think is much better, I probably wouldn't pay to visit The Club LAS again. I'd recommend it for first-time lounge visitors looking for a quieter place to wait, but if you're paying out of pocket, I think there are better values available.

It's also great that they post if it's gluten free and a description of the dish. The bar is also very nice and the bartenders were super attentive and friendly. I'd say my other 2 favorites were the nice cold air conditioning and the private bathroom stalls that really added to the relaxation of the lounge and an added comfort for weary travelers. I will 100% be visiting again and am thankful that I was able to spend a few hours here while waiting for my flight.

Lives moved fast with TSA Precheck. No hot dogs at this location. I feel like this is a USO staple but not a big deal. They have plenty of snack options. They offered cup of noodles and sandwiches as well. I think they even had some cups of Mac n cheese. The space was clean and the gentleman checking us in was so helpful. They have a quiet area, a small area for children that includes books and toys. Plenty of tables for several groups or individuals to spread out.

Well with that much time I tried to decide what to do. Being a retired veteran the thought of the USO came to me. I found out where it was and headed that way. At the door they check your ID and then have you sanitize before signing into the system. They have very large cubbies for storing your luggage. They give away decks of cards from a couple of casinos. They have a computer area where you can access the internet. A charging area, several tables where you can sit, rest and have a snack. They have a lounge area which has many loungers and a dimly lit room where you can nap. The snack bar is quite extensive and while I was there one of the restaurants donated several pizzas, chicken wings and salad. I set up my computer, got some work done. Had a couple of wings and salad, chatted with other veterans. It turned out to be a great afternoon and I felt safe and secure. I must discuss the volunteers because they were absolutely amazing. Checking on their guests to make sure they had everything they need. Several guests sat at the snack bar because the ladies there were great! Thank you so much to everyone at this USO! If I could give a 10 star review I would!

Both my parents are from New England and I've been dying to go back over the last several years (my last visit up there was in back 2017). I'm really, really hoping that I will finally break that visiting drought next summer. Not a whole lot of bar and restaurant choices in terminal 1 before you go though security, especially on a Sunday night. Everyone leaves Vegas and most places close early on Sunday's. We got there close to 7:30, but the bartender told us that she would be closing up at around 8:00, but we were welcome to take our drinks with us after they closed. Drinks must be in a plastic cup if you would like to take it with you, however. I got myself a Mai Tai and my mom got herself a Riesling white wine. The Mai Tai had that paradise-like fruity vodka flavor to it and the texture was like a beautiful sunset over the beach. My mom considered having a couple of Riesling drinks but only ended up having one because it was getting close to closing time. I think this was my first time having a Mai Tai and it was not bad for a first timer. Hanging out at an airport bar will definitely be a new thing for me whenever I'm waiting for a friend or family member to come in.

It is supposed to open at 8:00 am. It is 8:26 am and no one is here. Do not recommend.read more
