We were in Lansing for the day and found this fun bar restaurant. We tried several different sliders and enjoyed them all. The loaded tots were delicious too! Our waitress was attentive even though she had several tables. This is a hidden gem but easy to get to with plenty of street parking. read more

I would recommend the Brussels sprout appetizer, loaded tots, and the Pierogies! All were great. I got the MAC, Breakfast, and smokehouse sliders. The MAC was just okay, kind of dry. The breakfast was good it was sweet and savory. I LOVED the smokehouse slider. If you get any of them get that one. The pierogies were spicy so beware of that. read more

Great place to stop in for a bite to eat and drinks while amongst downtown. Sliders are delicious each time my family and I go. We like the drive - thru, the chicken sandwich and the breakfast slider, to name a few. The appetizers are great for sharing too. Atmosphere is good, nice place. I went to this restaurant for the first time this weekend and it was so amazing. The atmosphere is very modern and there's something interesting to look at everywhere. The service was stellar, the staff was so welcoming and so easy to start casual conversation with (shoutout to the employees who thought my boyfriend and I were a cute couple). As for the food, also so amazing. There is such a wide variety of sliders, it was so difficult to choose because all of them seemed so great. Our waiter was helpful in providing us with recommendations of the absolute best sliders we must have and we loved everything we ate! I would fully recommend going here, prices are great, food is great, service is great, atmosphere is great, just everything is really really great. read more

In Lansing for a meeting, didn't realize so many places were closed on Monday. Found this place close to the hotel and it was a great find. Wife and I split an order of chicken strips and Brussels sprouts (which were awesome) and some friends had a variety of sliders. All were excellent. Neat little place near the capitol. read more

The restaurant looked nice at first. But ultimately, the service was horrible. Our server came and took our drink orders rapidly, however it took over 30 minutes to actually get our drink orders. After when she came over after 20 minutes, we said hey we have been waiting 20 minutes for our drinks. At this point we had gotten served our sliders and food and finish them. The server, instead of being apologetic, was attitude he and did not like to hear a complaint. Whatever. But afterwards she immediately suggested that she would get a manager, though that was not at all we suggested. We just didn't want to drink after being at the restaurant for 30 minutes. Instead we got our drinks to go. We got an eight dollar Cabernet and a half a can bottle to go. Kind of bullshit I think. That's my thought. So then my friend got a nine dollar cocktail to go also in a carbonated can. Also kind of bullshit I think. That's my thought. So instead, we took a knife a fork a salt and pepper. And that was it. The bartenders are less then stellar. We came in around 10:30 pm and sat at the bar. The place wasn't busy and had a few tables outside and maybe 5 people at the bar. We watched as 3 different staff, not even sure if they were bartenders, walk by and not acknowledge us. We sat there long enough to realize the guy with the blonde hair had 2 friends at the bar and was playing with a menu while they decided what they would like to drink. The lady with the blue hair looked at us and kept walking, not once, but twice. Finally, after getting his friends some drinks, the blonde hair guy asked us what we would like to drink. I gave 2 stars because he did make a good drink. I ordered the genesis and it was quite delicious. This was our second time here and we had the same experience, inattentive "bartenders". We likely won't be back just based on poor service but no complaints about the drinks. I worked in the service industry for 9 years and never would have walked by anyone at my bar. read more

Just left Sidecar and it was not a great experience. Got there at 9:50 and ordered food and drinks. Got our food and finished eating by 10:15 and had not received our two drinks yet. Waitress was not kind when we told her we were still waiting. Sent the manager over and he did not care at all either. We asked for a discount/to go drinks and the waitress said okay and walked away. The manager blamed it on being busy, when we got there before the restaurant was busy. Finally told the manager we needed to leave asap and he made it happen. While the food was good, the service was the worst I have ever experienced and wish the service was even a little bit better. I would go literally anywhere but here. Maybe hire some more understanding and caring people and I'll come back. Now I'm stuck with a to go drink that I don't even want because it was meant to be had with my dinner that I ate before anyone even came to the table. Literally pick anywhere but here please. I've heard great things about the other locations but this place is literal hell. read more

I really like the concept of this place and have been 3 or 4 times. Every single time I think the food is really good, but the service is really lacking. Every single time I have been, it has taken at least 15 for anyone to come talk to us (been there both when it's super busy and super slow and it doesn't make a difference). Then another 15 for any drinks. Then we order sliders. I really enjoy the sliders and the wide variety of beers they have and that's seriously the main reason I go back. I don't think I've had a napkin one time I've visited. No joke me and my buddy had to go to the bathroom to wash our hands last time we were there. I'm not sure if more training or better management would help but something needs to change on the hospitality end. read more

First time eating at sidecar slider bar and I didn't necessarily have the best experience. Came here on a Sunday as we could not find any other food place open at the time. The inside looks pretty cool and welcoming. Food took around 30+ minutes to come out. I ordered 3 sliders, they forgot tomatoes and a few other extra toppings as well as taking off some sauce that originally came on the slider. Sent that slider back and waited another 30 minutes or so for that to come back correct. 2 out of the 3 sliders were ice cold, one of them being the chicken one. Our server was friendly and seemed to have a good idea of most everything on the menu. 3/5 stars due to the appearance of the inside and environment. 1/5 stars for the kitchen. This place has potential but definitely not on my top list of recommendations for the area. Poor experience overall. read more
