Waitress was nice. I had a good drink and my friend had a bottle of beer. Music was some crazy mosh pit stuff I guess. The food well, the fried pickles were ok, but I don't want them to be spicy. Now the Brisket Nachos not so much from friend didn't know it had mozzarella on them I saw it in the menu when we ordered. Not much pico de gallo on it and not much brisket either. The majority of what it was chips and diced onions. I don't even like onions , which it doesn't say anywhere on the Nachos. Believe me I know the difference between chopped onions and good pico de gallo. Yes there happened to be a fly flying around us too. Great local bar with what seems to be the last place in area with reasonable prices. All entrees were around $15 and beer was as cheap as $3.25. Food was solid bar food with in house smoked meats. My friends and I came here as this is a spot located really close to where my friend lives and I just absolutely loved it here! From the outside, it is extremely understated. Located right on a corner intersection of roads without much else around it, I really didn't expect much going in. I love that the inside is just completely lined with dollar bills and whatever people have written on them, that's always a fun touch. But probably most importantly was the food. I am still dreaming of their SHED SPREAD! It was so freaking GOOD and I wish I knew what they put into it so I could remake it at home again and again! I order a basket of the Signature Shed Chips (their own homemade potato chips) to pair with the Shed Spread and it was just divine. You get so many leftovers from here and it naturally reheated/tasted just as delicious the next meal. For my main I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap with blackened chicken and it also really hit the spot. This sandwich wrap came with extra Shed Chips, so I could dip even more into the Shed Spread (which I can't fail to mention they give you quite a hefty portion of!). It just really hit the spot after a day in the Lansing area and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and still think about it several months later!! Can't wait to go back! read more

The inside atmosphere is fun. There are signed dollar bills all over the walls. You can even ask for a sharpie and stapler to add your own to the wall (dollar not provided). The patio is awesome too--there is the perfect amount of shade to enjoy the warmth of summer without getting too hot. The Watershed Tavern & Grill has the most aesthetic bloody marys I've ever seen! I picked the Smokehouse Shed Bloody this time, which includes a variety of toppings including bacon, chicken thighs, and ribs. It was so good--it's like eating a charcuterie board on a stick! They also bring out a little bit of beer before the Bloody Mary arrives. I decided to also get the mozzarella sticks and they were pretty good, though I'm not sure I'd order them again. Great pseudo dive bar atmosphere with a very extensive menu. Went here for lunch and got the bbq flatbread with brisket. The brisket topping was more a sprinkling than actual chunks of beef which was a bit disappointing. My sisters wedding weekend so Friday morning a bunch of us got together for lunch and boy did we pick the right place. Our vrbo want too far from this place so we likely would have ended up here regardless but once we saw they're known for bloody Mary's it was a no brainer. It was a very cool morning and so Patti want open but looked like a nice fun area. Inside photo attached but just a really cool and fun vibe for a type of dive bar with dollar bills all over the walls (our kiddos added to that!). Service was great and fast though outside of the two gentleman at the bar our family was the only group though it did pick up while we were there. The food was magnificent: we lots of shareables as the adults were getting bloodies so mushroom bites, max and cheese bites and nachos were had by all. I'm not a mushroom fan regardless but the others said it was good but definitely the max and cheese bites and especially the nachos were flavorful and delicious! My only critique would be upping their salsa game as it seemed like generic can salsa but still tasty nonetheless. And then for the main event: The bloodies! Very well made both visually and tasty. I got the dairy as a huge cheese Can and it did not disappoint. The spicy cheese cubes were probably my favorite as it does pack a kick but that's right up my alley. Nice thing to they were reasonably priced $13-15 whereas other places like this sometimes put them mid twenties to thirties which is too much. I ordered the Pico burger. It is supposed to have fresh avocado, jalapeños, a southwest ranch sauce, pico, and pepper Jack cheese. It had pickles, pico, lettuce tomato and tons of purple onions. No jalapeños, no avocado, no ranch, and that wasn't pepper Jack. It was good food, just not what i ordered from the menu. We also ordered the brisket nachos. Those were excellent. Loved the avocado sauce it came with. Wish it stayed warmer longer, but what are you gonna do? It's the nature of the dish. Waiter seemed annoyed at us being there, at a restaurant. We felt rushed. There was live music. That was entertaining, but a bit loud for me. We sat on the other side from the music but still couldn't really hear one another to have a conversation. A pinch less in the speakers would improve the ability of people to communicate amongst the people at the table. And finally to the restaurant and every restaurant: pay your workers. read more

Went here a few years ago with friends for a night out and it was a great time, that was until this last month. Came in with a group of friends again on week night and it was an absolute disaster. We went up to the bar and were immediately greeted and received our drinks from the bartender which was good. That was until we sat down and actually tried our drinks. I'm all for free pouring and love a heavy pour, but the drinks were almost undrinkable. We then decide to order green tea shots. Big mistake. They were straight up Jameson I swear. Then as we're sitting hanging out, one of the bar regulars came and sat with us and then began groping one of my friends. He dropped the N word and was belligerently drunk, it made us so uncomfortable. We couldn't book the uber soon enough. We will NEVER be back. read more

Grabbed some tacos from The Watershed for a late lunch/early dinner before heading to work and it was ok. The bar was thinly staffed and the service was sub-par, but the food was pretty good. I really liked their signature shed chips with blue cheese and thought the portion was good for the price. I also thought the tacos were a good value for the size. The tacos also had unique flavor profiles and I liked the chicken best of the three I tried. The vibe here is definitely that of a local lake bar and was reminiscent of SKOB (if you know, you know). Their indoor space is kind of small and they have an outdoor patio area that fills up fast. I hear they have good bbq so I may come back to try that in the future. read more

I live close, but had not been in for years. So, I stopped in to reacquaint myself. The parking lot was pretty full but there was plenty of space inside. I had one brisket taco and one fish taco and both were very good. The pricing was very fair and people were friendly. Only hold up was that bartender was having to deal with a large table which took her attention away from the rail a bit (not her fault though). Definitely going to stop by more often. read more

I sat there flabbergasted as she continued to say fuck multiple times. The situation could have been handled differently but she decided to be a cunt and it was so inappropriate it made me think she was either on drugs or had mental issues. The other bartenders and waitresses were great, but it was this one that ruined the whole entire night for us when we came and spent good money and received the worst service I've ever experienced. This establishment has an extensive menu. There are probably a dozen different bloody Mary's that come with a range of accoutrements. Basically it's a meal, and there's one in the menu over $40! If you are into bloody Mary's, it's an impressive menu. We started with apps which were probably the best part of our lunch. The wings (they have bone in and boneless) came with a crispy skin. Out of the dozen different sauces, we ordered mild, honey BBQ, and Asian chili (yummy). The pretzels were soft on the inside with a nice bite on the outside. The beer cheese was ok, more like a cheese sauce vs a beer cheese. It was fine, just didn't find the beer flavor notes. Ordered onions rings that were tasty, and they make some really great tots (choice of side that came with kids' chicken tenders). As for the BBQ, I was excited for my brisket sandwich and beans. The brisket was a bit disappointing. Nice portion of large, diced cut pieces and not a lot of fat which I like, but there was no flavor. The beans were ok, not the BBQ beans with that rich bbq color and flavor that I'm used to getting a BBQ joints. My daughter was excited to color a dollar and have it stapled to a post. The place has a quaint dive/tavern atmosphere and a nice outdoor patio. Staff was friendly even though they were over extended a bit with a Sunday lunch crowd (even with a 50% max capacity due to covid). Recommend the Buffalo wings! read more

I have been a regular customer at the watershed for years. They have great barbecue, burgers and salads. The food quality is not the issue. In the past two years each time I have gone toThe Watershed I have been charged incorrectly. Being consistently overcharged should be illegal. Using the online system to look at the menu should be the up-to-date price. Not being offered a physical menu to compare, you have no way of knowing the real price. many of the menu items have eliminated items that used to be included. I used to get the shed barbecue sandwich which included fried onion shreds, coleslaw, fries, and barbecue sauce. Now the same sandwich only is meat and cheese, and fries. It is costly to get the sandwich the way it used to be. But if you if you were asked for the sandwich the way it used to be you can still get it but they don't tell you how much the add-ons are. That is just an example. Yesterday however I had lunch with my daughter and her fiancé. Her fiancé was charged seven dollars for a side of fries. That is the price of a bucket of fries, but it was not a bucket of fries. My daughter asked for grilled chicken on her salad to be fried, she was not told there would be any upgrade in price and has done that substitute many times. When she received her salad it was missing avocado, and the fried chicken was dry to the point of being hard to swallow. I'n addition the avocados were missing. she was up charged five dollars to change the chicken style. The waitress delivered the bill as if there were no upgrades, just with higher prices. As delicious as the food is, I think I'm done with the Watershed doing the a bait and switch on prices. read more

I would be in love with this restaurant if they didn't have a serious fly problem. They have the best chicken around and cheap drinks and good service but you'll get destroyed by flies the entire time. Fly traps are not expensive, just buy some. It pains me to not go back but if there's one thing I can't stand while I'm eating it's 4-5 flies buzzing around my food the entire time. Such an easy fix just fix it. read more

The Watershed has gone through several phases over the years and has now settled in to its sweet spot: a neighborhood bar and restaurant with beverages and cuisine to suit just about any palate. Lots of regulars at the bar who all know each other and the staff, but they don't make others feel unwelcome. Beer selection includes the domestic standards to please that crowd but also offers a nice rotating selection of craft beer. Watch their twitter feed for special tappings, like KBS and Backwoods Bastard on tap together on our recent visit! The food menu is not necessarily innovative, but everything is prepared well. On our recent visit my wife had the nachos and they were among the best bar nachos we've ever had as they were pleasantly lacking in the greasiness that typically spoils ground beef nachos. We also had a smothered mac-n-cheese dish recommended by the bartender and it was excellent. The facility has been upgraded over the years and features a bar area, somewhat separate dining room, and a large patio area. Nothing fancy by an y means, but well maintained and a good size. Service at the bar (from the bartender) is always great. Service in dining room can be spotty but there is usually a manager floating around that can assist. They have live music most evenings if you are in to that sort of thing, and the regulars definitely will cut a rug! read more
