My roommate and I just moved into town and stopped by this bar. We had the best experience, the staff was overly kind and welcoming- service was also beyond exceptional. Awful service! This is the second time in 3 months that service was awful. We left a review on Facebook but it was deleted. Last November the wait was long and when we got the food it was inedible. (Burnt) we had a party of 5. Tonight we waited for 2 hours and no food was delivered. We were told that haddock takes 25 minutes to cook. I get that but the pet who came after us and ordered after us got served the same order we ordered. We told the owner or bar manager and she walked away. Also while we were at the bar a man came in and waited to be served. No one even acknowledged him. After about 15 minutes he walked out. This bar has serious gone down hill. Don't waste your time. Hopefully they can't delete this post. Awful place that use to be good. If I could give it a negative 0 I would. read more

Small "yuppie" bar at least , couldn't get what I wanted cause it's a limited menu to say the least. Either Sunday or Thursday??? Really???? Had to settle for something else..........was not impressed at all, food was bland and tasteless. Had to smother it with the bland picante sauce and salt!!! Service was half assed at most. Service was slow as there was only one person working the bar and the dining area. Cod was extremely greasy and salty but tasted ok. Nice atmosphere too, will have to try again when they have more staff. read more

amazing!!! I didn't even ask for a sprite refill and they brought it to me. Now that's what i call amazing bartending. Noticing someone's low on what they need and giving it to them without bother! Pizza was amazing, popcorn is top tier, pretzel bites with the cheese hit the spot and last but not least, the sprite was a 10/10. This is our first time eat from here. My husband's parents raved about it and wanted to treat us to dinner. So we went on line to look at their menu and thought their prices were very reasonable so we decided to go there and order our food to go. Well we got our food in a reasonable amount of time but the prices were not what was on the menu on line which came as a surprise sticker. In today's day and age it's expected to look online at a restaurant's menu to be accurate especially with their prices. As for the food itself was just okay they over cooked the cheese curds and the blackened tuna. This place is really nice, the staff couldn't be any nicer. Now for the food: I had pan fried walleye, it was done good but it was a bit too bland for my taste, I like a breading and then pan fried. If you like pan fried walleye with some seasoning on it then pan fried, sure that you would like it. My wife had the perch sandwich and she enjoyed it. Next time I will try the regular Walleye. Stopped here for food and drinks with friends. What a disappointment. We were served by Terry. First words out of her mouth were "we're short handed" and she was clearly pissed off. We looked at our menus. She approached us again and asked what we would like to drink. We gave her our drink order. Drinks were delivered without a problem. She came back to take our food order. Once again, her demeanor was angry. Told us the kitchen was backed up and there would be a wait. When our food arrived, she basically threw our baskets of food on the table. The fish was grease soaked. Chicken strips overdone. Thank goodness for Michelle. She was a breath of fresh air with respect to service. This place has gone downhill so much. My wife and I are not "regulars" but have been here a few times. Each time we have had great service by polite and friendly staff!! we moved to DePere in August and sidekicks was close so we decided to go and check it out food was just ok service not good it seems like its more important for the bartenders to talk to one other then doing there job if your drink is empty expect to wait. Was there last night ordered a pizza it was cold in the middle when we told the bartender he asked if we wanted it heated up. if I wanted my pizza heated up I would of stayed home and put in a tombstone will not go back.My suggestion is the owners should hire people willing to do there job and not socialize with each other. smile once in a while. The two older bartenders working do not make you feel welcome at all. I stopped in with my friend to just have drinks and the lady was so grumpy. It was only 5pm. The one woman has no manners whatsoever. My Bloody Mary was terrible and instead of her asking what was wrong it sat for 45 min then came over and just dumped it. They don't care. On Fridays, get there before 5 if you want to get a seat easily. Soups and burgers are good, but the fish menu on Wednesday and Fridays is great! Went for lunch today, food was good, sevice was horrible. I don't think the waitresses could figure out who our table belonged to so they just ignored us for 15 min until one of them finally wandered over to take our order and a different one delivered it. I saw her standing around staring off into space practically the whole time we were there. It was the middle of the afternoon and it wasn't super busy, so that wasn't the issue. No one asked how our food was, offer refills or even check on us once the whole time we were there. I had to go to the bar to ask for a box and our bill and the lady asked me to verify if our bill was right. Unbelievable. Had a similar experience about 2 weeks ago. I won't be back anytime soon. Summary: surprisingly good food, locals bar. It's a locals bar, so there's pluses and minuses w/ that. I came on a tuesday during dinner time and it pretty full. I had the Taco Wrap with chipotle potato salad. Not only was the chili amazing (it had the perfect kick of heat) the sandwich had super thick bacon done crispy the way I like it. They even threw in kettle chips and a pickle. Good local bar and grill. Popcorn machine near the door with free corn. I recommend the burgers and fish. Pizza is baked from frozen, not fresh. Can get crowded so if the tables are taken on a Friday night, follow the sign on the door that says to register at the bar and don't sit yourself down or the regulars will let you know you messed up. The burgers are good as are the chicken tenders and it's conveniently located right off of 41. I'm not a big fan of their cheese curds. The staff seems nice and friendly. Did take out on the way from work and ordered walleye for myself and scallops for my wife. I was worried by the time I got home it would be cold and mushy but was pleasantly surprised on how fresh, warm and delicious the meal was. Sidekicks was recommended to my Aunt who lives in the Appleton area. We were swinging through the area to drop off my daughter at my Aunts on our way to Door County. We stopped in on a Friday night. it was busy, we waited a while for a table. There was not a place to wait, this was especially stressful with a squirmy four year old. However, there was free popcorn, which kept her busy for a while - though may have spoiled her dinner. We heard that the burgers and the Booyah were the items to try. I was a little unsure what the Booyah was...so opted for trying the burger instead. The Burger was good. I would go back for another. The seating was limited and we had to sit at a high table...not a big deal...unless you are elderly, pregnant, and or have a four year old...which unfortunately we had all three. The staff were ok friendly, they tried to accommodate us as best they could. Overall, an A-OK establishment. All of the members of our party were satisfied. I drive this place fairly often, I'm surprised I haven't been here more often. It's a very spacious bar with lots of TVs which is good to watch any sporting events and the barendars are pretty friendly. If you're going to come here on a Friday, be prepared to wait because it's always busy for their Fish Fry. I've never had their fish but it must be good if it's always busy.
