This is an update to a previous review. My wife and I have adopted this Sidelines as our "local" fave. We've had wings, wraps, burgers, sandwiches, fries and they are all good. It's the only place around that makes wings hot enough for me. Most people can't handle them, though. It's a sports bar so sometimes there is a wait for service but, no more than any other spot. Not sure what happened to those people that gave this place one or two stars and say the food wasn't cooked right or whatever. We've never had a bad experience here. If you tried it before, I would try it again. If you're looking for a new spot, give this place a shot. read more

The ambiance was fun, it definitely fits the bill looking like a sports bar. The food was about what you'd expect. As I have celiac disease it was a bit of a bummer that the fryers are cross-contaminated with batter for the fried food. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating for our large group without a reservation. I got the gluten-free go-to with the nachos (usually the next best option when I don't want a salad). Happy hour price for a 16 oz Bud Light is $3.50. 22 oz PBR ( that didn't taste like PBR) was $4.50. We did just move here but that doesn't seem like a happy hour price. And yes, for those wondering, I did ask the waitress if they had happy hour pricing. She said yes. We got there @ 430 pm. My boyfriend and I each got 9 wings and a basket of fries. Fries were good. Not really a basket though. Boyfriend's wings looked great. 7 flats. 2 drums. Covered in Parmesan garlic sauce. Tender and juicy. Mind on the other hand (and yes I was very kind to the waitress) were nasty. 7 drums. 2 flats. Barely had any buffalo sauce. Paper lining the plastic tray was ripped about 80% underneath the wings so I was really hoping that plastic tray was clean as my food was sitting on it. The flats barely had any meat on them and the drum ends were so crunchy you couldn't get any meat off them leaving a small bite of meat just in the middle. Waitress was friendly so I tipped her well. Spent a total of $60. Not worth it unfortunately. I've been told Roosters in Grand Junction is the place to go. As for us, we're going to buy wings and give it a whirl in the air fryer. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday and had such a great experience. The service was great and all of the food was excellent- definitely a step up from typical Sports bar food. My chicken sandwich and fries were so good and my Aunt said her chicken wings were the best. I would definitely come back just for the food, wouldn't hesitate to bring my kids for lunch, and it would also be a fun place to watch a game with TV's everywhere. read more

This place is pretty awful. They charge $1.50 for each small cup of ranch and do not advertise it on the menu or tell you that prior to giving it to. Also an additional charge for credit cards that they don't advertise until after you pay. Will not be back and i encourage others to avoid them for deceptive pricing read more

Great place to watch a football game. We were in town for Week 1 and wanted to watch our team. They have a lot TV's so if you want to watch a specific game tell the bartender what game you want. They will direct you to the general area of your game or put it on for you if a TV is available. Get there when it opens if an early game and at least 30 minutes before the second games start. Food is really good for a sports bar. We had the wings which were plump and fantastic. The turkey sandwich was piled high with turkey and the bread was toasty.. Ordered a side salad that was full of everything not your typical boring salad. Had a bowl of the chile. YUM! Beer prices are good and a friendly, fun atmosphere. It is in days like this that you know who's who when it comes to gratitude. I'm a combat vet, Afghanistan. Today is veterans day, I'm working a long shift and I visit because they were offering 3 free tacos, but I have to dine in. When I walked in, I was given nasty looks by all the staff, mind you i was polite and respectful, I make it known I worked a long shift and can't do dine in, so it's no deal, if any of you who do business with this place has any respect for God and Country you will boycott it and stop doing business there because they obviously have no respect for those who put their lives on the line of fire so they can now have the freedom to deny a veteran a meal just because he's working, he has a job, and doesn't have the time to dine in, figure that one, I bet you if I was one of those people who are moochers, they probably would have catered to me no problem. Wow! We are here from AZ and wanted to watch a Broncos game in CO and what a great find we had in Sidelines. We started with the most amazing nachos. The homemade green chili is the BEST I have ever had. Yes, they are terribly understaffed but if you plan on spending hours watching a game, not having someone pressure you to free up a table is fabulous. The smothered ground beef burrito has so much beef that it could be for 2! I got a bowl of green chili and a side of their crispy fries, amazing. The bartender Estrella was also the waitress and she never acted stressed nor did she make us feel intrusive, give her 5 stars too. Well the only other so called sports bar in Montrose is boarded up, Here they have a ton of TVs but didn't even have the NBA playoffs on but yet horse racing in chariots so the bar is pretty low. 90 schillings on draft which is a plus.
