Love this place for a low key happy hour that runs 2 pm to 7 pm and features many 1/2 price appetizers! We especially like the bone in wings, but there's something on the menu for everyone. Not going to return. We use to frequent Sidestreet and then there menu went completely downhill. Just recently we were inspired to go back. Most of the staff were good but one guy was soooooo rude! If I didn't see it I wouldn't have believed it. And our food was NOT good. 2 orders of nachos and both were burnt. Onion rings burnt. And we did not complain knowing MR rude dude would not care and probably thought it was funny. Yuck. Will seek out another place where people care. read more

Having walked by this place in both its old and new (current) location, I decided to try it out. I wondered whether it was just another bar in contrast to other places like Mick's Office or Wurst Bier Hall. It's not - it's unique and it's good for both food as well as beer. The interior gets high marks from me. It's spacious, the tables are many and the counter is very neat with a sleek wood design. There's no shortage of amusement too like a jukebox, pool tables or even off-track betting (!) if that's something you like. As for the beer selection, it is impressive. They have the name brands like Guinness, Coors and Miller but they have a selection of lesser known beers and even craft brews. The food was good for bar standards, with fare like pizza, wraps, and burgers. While the Mexican entrees may not be the equal of Romo's (I went with chicken taquitos), they are still amazing. The Sidestreet Grille is most assuredly worth a visit for food and maybe even for fun! read more

Stopped in with the guys. We split the sampler platter and it was pretty good. It had chicken strips, fried mushrooms, onion rings etc. We ordered two beers and the waiter explained a pitcher is cheaper. Really open space with pool table and darts. They also have blackjack. read more

Ummm, I wont be going back to Sidestreet anytime soon... I ordered a beer and it was about 50 degrees (WARM!) and within 60 seconds of pouring it in the glass, it had no head at all... made me wonder about the cleanliness of the glass. I asked a former employee why the beer was so warm and the person told me they don't have room for all the kegs in the beer cooler, so some of the kegs are stored at room temperature and go through a tap system that's supposed to cool them as they pour them... it's not working. I don't know if any of what I was told is accurate, but there's no question my beer was warm, and nobody likes that. For a bar in a facility that's only a couple years old, I would expect better than this. Dive bar is fine, but a dude should at least be able to get his beer served COLD. read more

I've been a firm believer in Sidestreet as a late night destination due to their substantial tap list and frequent live music. Now that they're well established in their new location, I'm even more of a fan. The space accommodates a wide range of personalities with pool and darts, booths tucked away in the back corner, pull tabs and blackjack (I think) up front, and a stage for live music. Their Signature salad (ordered with chicken) was a sizable portion, and was a nice alternative to the typical bar fare. Artichoke hearts, olives, avocado, tomatoes, and onions over mixed greens with a garlic vinaigrette. Nothing particularly amazing about it, but it still really delivered. If the couple dozen craft beer options don't excite, they've got great personalities behind the bar willing to mix up something tasty! Great bar. Staff is courteous and takes care of you- especially if you are respectful. 50 fantastic taps, yummy bar food- don't expect high class, it is a bar not a restaurant. $3.50 domestic pounders (hamms, busch light, PBR, Coors banquet... How can you go wrong?) They handle conflict well, keep their manners and abide the law. Hence why it's a huge service industry bar, so if you go out to eat you will probably see your server at sidestreet that night. read more

Do not go here. Went here last Saturday night with a large group of friends. When leaving a few of us went out a door that others had been going out all night. When I stepped out the door, the already crabby server, yelled "NO, NO, NO!" At us like we had not paid our bill or something. When we stopped she told us that we were not supposed to go out that door. I asked her where it said that. She pointed out a very small white sign that was among many other signs that were more legible. I said I didn't see the sign but as I was already out the door I kept walking. She then yell "F*ck you" after me. I called Sidestreet a few days later to complain. The assistant manager did not care at all and even said that there are circumstances where it is okay for a server to tell a guest "f*ck you". The assistant manager not only didn't care but was SUPER rude and kept asking me what I wanted her to do about it. I made it clear that I would never be a customer there again. The assistant manager also told me that people who go through that door get banned from the restaurant. I will be spending my money at establishments that don't treat me terribly! read more

I had my wedding reception at the Four & Four (Upstairs of Sidestreet-same ownership)on 10/1/21 and would NEVER recommend them to anyone else looking for a venue for a special occasion. They are overpriced, service is sub-par, and things were not done according to our agreement. ...despite us paying everything early/on time and fulfilling all of our obligations to them. There were many issues, surprise BIG expenses, rude servers(despite paying 20% gratuity!!), guests not greeted, dirty bar areas, etc....but the biggest issues being that we were cheated out of an hour of our reception time, with them literally starting to clean up(& set up for their event the next day!), when it was only 10:45, and we had the space until midnight!! We also had over $450 of leftover plates meals(we'd advised we wanted two weeks prior), kept from us, with the staff saying they "had no idea what happened to it". These issues really affected our wedding celebration, and as of today they have only argued it all, and not been willing to accept blame or rectify any of it. They were NOT a cheap venue and promised us many things that they did not fulfill. For something as important as your wedding day, I'd steer clear of the Four & Four, and instead go with another venue with a proven positive track record. read more

I was in Fargo for a few days and found this place after going to another bar in the area that didn't serve food. It was a Tuesday night. They had a band and open mic night. Very entertaining Had a large selection of draft beers. Also the place was packed. Not all 20 somethings. Quite a mix of all ages. The wait staff was attentive and my food came out quickly. Had half price apps. Also 50 cent off beers. Nice specials. The quality of the food was marginal. Mostly thaw heat and serve. Not impressive. The band and entertainment really made the difference. A good time. I would recommend for a beer or 2 but not for the food. read more

The location is brand new. It has the feel of a ski chalet. Traditionally the crowd used to be of all ages, yet the patrons are now of the younger age. Service can be sketchy, especially during a weekend night. They have live music which adds a fun element to a night out. The beer selection is VAST and includes local brews. staff not at ALL attentive. five people working, two customers. ordered the mush swiss burger. it was as done as it could be without it being burnt. i took the patty out of the bun and tapped it on the counter. Knock, knock. No one asked me how the food was. i would have told them. i left the burger on the counter with most of the fries with it and left.in all of my fifty years i have never had a burger this bad. a few minutes later i called the place and asked for the manager, his name is Frank? Very good hot beef sandwich! It was available with sliced beef or ground beef; we decided to go for the sliced. Hot beef sandwiches are all about the gravy and this gravy was very good. It wasn't salty and had a nice pepper kick which I enjoyed. And there was plenty of it! The mashed potatoes were also good, and you can't go wrong with white bread and sliced roast beef :-) next time I'm in town I'll have to try the ground beef version. read more
