Ohhhh, baby. This place is GOOD!…read more Upon learning that my local smokehouse had permanently closed, I went on a hunt for BBQ joints near my husband's job so he could pick up some take-out on his way home. Locale BBQ Post fit the bill. We called early to order ribs and sides, and by 1:15 they were already sold out of jalapeno creamed corn. So, we ordered a rack of ribs (to share), a side of mac and cheese, some cole slaw, and the meal came with a piece of cornbread. Everything I ate was awesome. The ribs were extremely tender and fell right off the bone. With a little sauce, they were perfection. The cornbread was also incredible. It was a little dry for my liking, but the sweet butter that came with it soaked right into the bread and made it taste incredible. The macaroni and cheese was pretty plain, but with a little crushed black pepper, it turned into magic. Even the cole slaw was good - and I am not a big cole slaw person. I finished my meal and was absolutely stuffed to the brim, and purely content. I will absolutely be eating here again!!

It pains me to give a negative review, especially since I've been wanting to check them out since…read morethe day they opened few years back. Service - wow could you be more indifferent? I came in hoping to be steered towards maybe some of their fast moving items or popular items, but no. I said I'm not sure what to get, and the gentleman walked away to go back to doing whatever he was doing. I ended up going with the 1/2 brisket. Hold on, ill be right back, I need to get a hunk of brisket out from my teeth. Phew! Ok back to my review. I was then asked what sauce I wanted. Since they have their own sauces, I wasn't sure which one to get so I asked for a recommendation and told the second guy I like sweet and spicy. So he grudgingly pointed to the list. Food - was really really really hoping the food would be amazing. Bc all they do is bbq, right? Boy was I off. Brisket was tougher than leather. How would you even serve this to someone? The strips cut were rock solid... dont even try to sell me that this is how brisket is supposed to be!!! Btw im struggling to finish this meal mainly bc it wasnr cheap and its food,, and i dont waste.. i might have to call my dentist after this struggle.. Their slaw was good and crunchy, hence the extra star. I'm good, ill stick to some of the other bbq places in wilmington. Food and service don't make me want to give them another shot. But you should give them a try, i hope your experience is better than that of mine.

I'm a sucker for a unique donut shop and this was such a good stop. (We were visiting Philadelphia…read moreand had our son with us who had not been to Delaware yet and wanted to get him into the state). The restaurant was not what I was expecting. I thought it was a little donut shop, but it was actually a full restaurant/bar. The restaurant didn't really seem to be open yet, but the donuts at back were fresh and coming out for the morning. There were so many options it was very hard to choose what to get. These donuts were special, in that they are brioche and very large and fluffy. We got an apple pie and strawberry cheesecake donut. We definitely didn't need two, but "when in Delaware" I guess? Haha! The woman at the counter was really helpful in our difficult decision and was very friendly and patient with us while we drooled over the donut menu haha!

The menu looked promising, but we'll never know. Unfortunately, we arrived at our 3pm reservation…read more The hostess was rude and didn't greet us. We immediately felt like we were an inconvenience. After we were seated, the waitress brought out our drinks. 1 1/2 hours later, she comes back with the promise our food would be out soon, then, one minute, then oh yeah they are plating the food. Then we spotted our waitress and a few other servers vaping as the kitchen door opened. The manager was checked out as we were speaking with him. Needless to say the service was awful, so we left. As I said promising, but their staff and customer service is a complete turn off. Eat well folks! Ps. My daughter did a Yelp review right after we left but somehow it's been removed...

We had such a great experience at Mission BBQ on Concord Pike. We had the smoked chicken and turkey…read moresandwiches with fries, and everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. We asked Erin, who was cleaning tables, if she liked the bread pudding, and she said it was incredible. She brought some over for us to try, and I have to say, it was one of the best bread puddings I have ever had. Shocking for a QSR. She even brought extra caramel sauce on the side, which was a really thoughtful touch and made the dessert even better. Erin was so friendly and attentive, and it really made our visit special. The manager, Rochelle, was also very kind and helpful when we chatted with her. You can tell the staff here genuinely care about making guests feel welcome. We left feeling appreciated and can't wait to come back.

I will say the brisket was good (get the moist) and the cheesy potatoes were decent. I also thought their coleslaw was pretty yummy (so many places it's barely edible). However one disappointment was the corn bread. It's a small slice and was pretty dry. On a separate note, the staff was friendly and the place was clean and it felt pretty relaxing. I also admire their mission to helping veterans and those in uniform. I'll definitely go back as I want to try the mac and cheese and the jalapeño and cheese sausage.
