Because by now I've had the chance to live with the work A-1 has done for some time and I while was ecstatic with the job when it was finished, I'm honestly even happier with it now. Originally, I reached out to A-1 to do the countertops and backsplash of a kitchen renovation. As you can see in the pictures, the backsplash is a mosaic tile and that can be somewhat difficult to work with. But this was no problem at all for A-1. Their attention to detail on both the countertops and backsplash was superb and they turned out amazing. The backsplash is the highlight of the kitchen and everyone who sees it compliments it without fail. Meanwhile, the countertops are perfect, excellent quality, durable, and the perfect choice for the room. My experience with the kitchen tile and stone was so good, I came back to A-1 for a guest bathroom remodel. Again, as you can see from the pictures, this involved a lot of tile. It also involved removing a tub, a door, installing an entirely new sink, and reworking the entire shower. A-1 handled every facet of the job from the planning and install of the shower and all the tile, to bringing in the sub-contractors for the plumbing, drywall, and electrical. And just like those working for A-1, their subcontractors were all professional, highly skilled, and budget conscious. Everything in this bathroom was re-done, the floor, the walls, the toilet, the sink, And from the shampoo box that is now the centerpiece of the room, to framing out the new LED medicine cabinet, the marble tile has turned what was a dark, cramped guest bath into something that is now inviting, open, and a subtle highlight of my home. But best of all, it's functional. I know this because since these jobs were completed near the end of 2022, I have come back to A-1 once again to now remodel my entire master bath. And as that has been going on, I have been living out of this guest bathroom. To me, that's the real test. Not just how it looks in the pictures, but how it lives day to day. And the functionality, especially in such a small space, has really paid off. I cannot recommend A-1 highly enough. Issac has put together a great team and they are one of the unsung gems in town when it comes to all things stone and tile. From helping with the design, to making sure the materials are quality, to securing trustworthy subcontractors, to their attention to detail, I cannot recommend A-1 Design Stone highly enough. We've worked with them twice now after leaks led to surprise remodeling projects. Isaac and his team at A1 Stone did an incredible job installing our shower, and they did an exquisite transformation of our kitchen. Isaac listened to our design ideas, helped us refine them, and executed them with superb craftsmanship. He was here every day of the project, either working with his crew or checking on their progress. When we needed to work with other trades, he helped us coordinate them in the right order, and the contractors he recommended for that work were also uniformly excellent. We have more renovations to do - thankfully voluntary - and we will absolutely be doing them with A1 Design Stone!

I am filing a complaint for Yelp regarding Cabinets & More and Daniel Wang for fraudulently…read morerepresenting himself as a licensed contractor and not completing the contracting job I paid for. The following is an abbreviated story of the nightmare he put my girlfriend and I through and I anticipate he will be prosecuted by the Nevada State Contractors Board for illegally performing contracting work without a contractor's license. After researching multiple contractors, we chose Cabinets & More due to their great reviews and friendly demeanor. Daniel gave off the vibe that he cared about us and his work, and his goal was to transform our current house into our dream house. Daniel let us know that the entire job would take 6-weeks, but wanted to give us an estimate of 2-months in case there were delays. Shortly after the 8-month mark, we fired Cabinets & More due to their extremely slow construction process and poor construction work. Unfortunately, the nightmare is just beginning because we have had to hire a tile cleaner ($450), an electrician ($350), a roofer ($900), gone to Hope Depot/Lowe's multiple times (to get supplies and recuperate stolen tools) and recently interviewed other contractors to clean up the mess Cabinets & More made (it should be noted that the contractors will not touch certain items Cabinets & More completed and still came up with costs averaging around $35,000). This is just the tip of the iceberg too because he stole approximately $1,600 worth of our tools and ruined approximately $15,400 worth of our furniture (I say approximately because every day we keep finding items of ours he and his crew ruined and/or stole). Cabinets & More got the notice to proceed on June 25, 2018, however did not show up to do any work until June 28th. From there, they proceeded to demolish our entire downstairs in 3-days...then no one showed up to the house for 3-weeks. This raised a lot of red flags since the first month was already complete and all Cabinets & More had completed was 3-days of demolition work. However, Daniel seemed really nice and we wanted to help grow his business and even offered to introduce him to our friends if he did a good job. Unfortunately, this was just the beginning of all the problems we had with Cabinets & More and we learned Daniel would not take responsibility for anything and always threw others under the bus. Every day was a new excuse as to why nothing was getting completed. As the job continued, we kept asking Daniel why workers were not showing up. Excuses included not showing up for three weeks because they were getting permits (which they never got), not showing up for over a week because the foreman's truck was in the shop, not showing up for over a week because it was raining (this was a job that was 100% indoor), not showing up for a couple of weeks because of a break-up, not showing up for over a week because it was Chinese New Year, not answering the phone or returning messages because of sleeping pills or losing his phone (both happened multiple times and the sleeping pills excuse would be regarding messages sent between 1 PM - 5 PM), etc. He would pull on our heartstrings and even cry in front of us, however they were just crocodile tears because he is also the same person who tried to take our money and run at the end because he refused to take phone calls or text messages for multiple days until I threaten to sue him. On March 4, 2019, we fired Daniel and Cabinets & More and gave him a bill for all items stolen, ruined, unfinished, and incomplete. The final bill was for approximately $75,000, but I said I would work with him and only ask for half of my money back (approximately $45,000). After a few days, Daniel agreed and informed us he would pay us back. As I'm sure you already know, he did not pay us back and has been dodging phone calls and text messages sent out since. Daniel presents himself as a contractor, even saying he is, but when you dig a little deeper you will realize he is illegally practicing contracting without a contracting license. When we initially asked for his contracting license, he gave us a business license. All in all, we learned that Daniel is a narcissist and he cannot be trusted. Unfortunately, I am limited on how much I can write in this review, otherwise I would explain all of the items Cabinets & More incorrectly installed, never finished, and ruined. That being said, this Yelp page clearly has red flags because all of the reviews are either 5-star or 1-star...the 1-star reviews are real customers...the 5-star reviews are Daniel's friends. We are not the first people to get swindled by Cabinets & Moore, so please proceed with caution; and feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions regarding Cabinets & More.

This wasn't an easy job to do because keep in mind the cabinets and window sill were already installed so Summit has to cut around that to fit in porcelain slab backsplash. It looks as if the countertop was never replaced. His workers explained everything to us before they installed and made us feel so comfortable.
