From the start things with the guy that runs the place were weird and borderline racist and hostile. He just took it upon himself to put a sign on our can with no explanation or introduction, and when I questioned him he became aggressive...color problems for sure. The service left a note requesting ww make a change, we did and they still didn't pick it up Then the same guy got loud and belligerent over the phone. Try someone else. read more

We have used Sid's Sanitation for our garbage removal for 3 years now. Their rates are far lower than any of the other companies out there. They are a small, mom and pop shop. You will not find a website. They have the best customer service you will find. They always remove anything you set out with the garbage. On days that we forget to take our trash out to the road, they come up to the house and get it for us. I can't say enough good things about this company! So happy to see that customer service and good old fashioned businesses still exist! read more

I've used Sid for 18 years now. They'll take the trash and recycling, and if we're away we just let them know and they'll come up to the house to get the bins. I like supporting small business; it might mean they are delayed with truck problems, and I still have to write and mail a paper check to pay them, but I'll deal with that any day over a big corporation. Sid has only raised my rate once in all this time, when the price of gas shot up, and its still very reasonable. read more

Sid's has not picked up my trash for 3 weeks now. I have not been able to get in touch with them to find out what's going on. The phone seems to be out of service just keeps saying "cannot complete call, try again later". If they're out of business they should have let their customers know very unprofessional. read more

I do not know how others are getting treated so well. I just had to cancel service after just one month - they picked up just once (which required me to call and complain that they had missed a day). After two weeks of not picking up and me constantly calling them without a response, I had to cancel service and transfer to American Disposal. The rates are very low compared to American Disposal, yet I am willing to pay the extra $7 to ensure pick up. I heard so many good things about this company which makes it even more disappointing - the straw that broke the camel's back was when I left a voicemail threatening to cancel service (after 4 polite voicemails begging him to pick up my trash) is when I finally got a call back. It shouldn't take an ultimatum to get something done. I will never do business with this company again - especially when he attempted to collect 3 months of payment from me when I had only resided in the home for 1 month. After explaining the mix up to him is when the trouble began. There isn't enough room to vent my complete frustration as it is very irritating to have 2-3 weeks of garbage sitting outside my house for all my neighbors to see! read more

My boyfriend and I moved into our Marietta home in August. We had to cancel our service after one month due to continuous neglect by the company. At first, they tried to charge us for 3 m ok news worth of service when we hadn't been in the house that long. Then, when we called to correct the bill, more problems started. SIDS didn't pick up the following Monday, so we called. And called and called, and left several voice mails with no call back. It wasn't until we threatened to switch our service that the owner came in his pickup truck to remove our trash. Agajn, the following week SIDS failed to pick up. After several more attempts to contact them, we had to change our service, which is a shame because they had a great rate. I guess you get what you pay for. I saw such good things about them and I have been calling and leaving voicemails for over 3 WEEKS! and no one will return my calls. I am going to end going with someone else because no one had the time to call me back. Very sad. read more

We've used Sids for years and have been very happy with them. the only problem I have is they do not separate plastic to recycle. I put out a container of plastic bottles and thy just throw it in with the other garbage. read more
