I've been coming here for years, so happy with the hand washes until today. I watched the kid wash the car before me and didn't do a thorough job so I watched him do mine. The new kid used the pressure washer to wash the car. No special treatment on the front, wash mitt never touched the sides or the roof, then he started drying it. I normally don't give bad reviews, but if any business deserves it, it is this one. My dealer, Carson City Toyota, gave me a free pass for a car wash in 2018 or 2019, I believe it was, since their car wash was broken. Great, I thought. I didn't end up using it for some time, but I decided to use it up recently as it had no expiration date. [And note: while the coupon states "FOR DEALERS ONLY", this is what the dealer gave to use, since it replaced their free car wash, and this business has taken them in the past from customers.] I was heading to California for a small trip, and came down from Reno to this car wash on July 31 at about 11:30 AM, since the coupon was valid only at the S. Carson St. location. (I would normally have taken I-80 from Reno.) I pulled up, the and the attendant refused to honor it, similar to the review left by R.C. on July 13, 2023. She said they no longer took these coupons, and besides, she had no way of entering it in their computer system. Annoyed, I asked to speak to the manager, and she said she was the manager. I left, disappointed, and head to California with a dirty car since I didn't have time to go elsewhere. But wait, it gets worse. I emailed the company on August 9 and quickly received an automated ticket ID number. I waited 19 days, and nothing, not even in my spam folder. I emailed them again on August 28, and also called and left a message with my ticket ID number. To this day, September 14, still nothing. I also see the review I cited above my "R.C." received a company response saying to contact them on their stated email. But it seems that is just lip service to make them look good. And I see this location has a horrendous Yelp rating and tons of other bad reviews. I should have known. Well, lesson learned. I actually have received good service at one of their locations in Reno a number of times, but this experience left such a sour taste in my mouth, I won't ever patronize this company again. read more

What a mess. I went to the one in Minden. My truck was clean on the back. I went to Carson City and went to the ones there. The truck ended up with soap on the back of the truck. That makes 3 washes. So I headed home and went back through the Minden was to get the soap off. The young man gave me attitude. Told me I could only have 2 washes a day on unlimited package. He let me through even I told him to just open the gate and I will leave. I wouldn't have gone 4 times if it had been clean the first time. The amount of prewash varied from each location. Minden had the least. The value is questionable, with the attitude of the young man. read more

Decided to not make the drive to my regular carwash today. My carwash membership now includes various locations. I wanted to try the one down in Carson City. Very nice attendants working at this location. I think the carwash hete does a better job at cleaning with the exception the wheels didn't get as good a clean. The blowers are not nearly as good as my regular carwash up in Reno. This is a quarter the size of the regular carwash I go to. The vacuum stations are quite a bit less stations. The nice part of this catwash location is, their vacuums ate much more powerful and they have the added benefit of hand held blower nozzles. I have been a monthly customers of theirs for the car wash. They kept hitting me up for a detail in a funny decided to take advantage of it. Horrible experience. Major hassle to just get a simple question answered such as, how much? Then when I went through all the hassle the finally getting a hold of the local location in Carson City Nevada, they booked me for an 8:00 a.m. appointment. When I arrived, she immediately warned me that the detailer doesn't typically come in until 10:00. Of course I asked why did you book me at 8:00 a.m. if your detail person doesn't come in until 10:00 a.m. She couldn't answer that. I left a main appointment with a better detail company. I called before the end of the month but couldn't get in until 15 days after the special, so the key for 30% off wouldn't work, but the key for 15% off did. She felt the car wasn't heavily soiled so it would take 2-3 hours..... wrong, it took 5 hours!so buyer beware of pricing incentives!!! I was traveling from out of state and a friend loan me his vehicle for my stay in Nevada. I took his car to this car wash to have it fully detailed for letting me use it. Please note: I believe what she was telling me, I also know what the staff was telling me when I got the car wash was not the same thing she was trying to telling me. *** SO BEWARE *** and do not sign a paper! 1) the full detail did not include everything, they did not clean the doors or seats. They just needed wiped down. They said I had to by that separately so I said fine. They said I would have to get back in line. I did not have the doors or seats cleaned. 2) I told them I was from out of state, I did not want the membership. They have been billing my card for the membership. I just got off the phone and the lady said I should have read the contract. I was told I had to sign the paper to get the car wash. I said fine, I do not want the membership, I do not live here in Carson. I do not live in Nevada! Now she is said *** she is going to charge my card that is coming due *** for being so upset about this car wash charging my card for a membership I didn't want to have. Normally when I have poor service, I like to contact the business direct. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a current phone number for this business. I had my car washed this afternoon but I didn't have time for them to dry it off. Typically this isn't a big deal but today it was. There was still soap and dirt on my car. Not sure if it was the techs operating the wash tunnel, lack of a better term, or the tunnel it self but my car is still dirty. Will return to their location in Reno to have the car washed again. Never had a portioned with this place before. I recently took my car there for a hand wash and wax. It was a little pricey at $100, but they had always done a good job. I got the car back with hard water spots not removed or even mentioned, and wheels filthy. I understand the hard water spots are hard to get out, but there was no attempt on their part. It's a small area on the front of the car, if they would have mentioned it, I would have paid more. The real problem was the wheels, considering the amount I paid, they didn't even attempt to clean these. Just touching the wheel, the dirt came off. So when I got home I cleaned these myself. But$100? I expect more. I contacted them but it was excuses. They did offer to make it right, but by then I had just done it myself. read more

i had a membership with surf thru car wash for a couple/few years. recently, they upped the price $2 over the course of 3 months. in that time they took away the scrub brushes for the people that spray your car off before you enter the wash. on top of tipping, i would often run my car through 2 or 3 times in a row and still my car never really got clean. a couple people recommended sierra express. so i made my way over there and got a car wash after a road trip. there were so many bugs stuck to my windshield and grill i told the fellow at the entrance i would likely bring my car through a couple times. the fellow nodded and told me he would make sure it all came off. he sprayed my car down then scrubbed it so well i didnt need to run through again! membership to sierra express car wash purchased! thanks! read more

Starting off with OVER PRICED!! paid for one of the better washes (inside and out $30). Drove over the the detail side and waited for 30 minutes and watched the guys start 3 other cars that showed up after me before me. I found someone, a bald guy (look like a manger). Finally started working on my car. 20 minutes later still not done! People that came before me said they'd been waiting for 2 hours!!! How is this customer service?? No one seems to care about their job or the people they are being paid to serve. 1 hour and 6 minutes My windshield still has bugs and water streaks, didn't clean the cup holders. This used to be a great car wash. The vacuums and blowers at self serve are still excellent, unfortunately that is all that is good. The car wash does not wash the back of the vehicle ( I have both a cuv and small truck, neither get clean) and the interior cleaning done by staff has been marginal. The wait is long to get the car interior cleaned, no one will make eye contact or tell you which line you should be in. Ignoring the customers and hoping they will leave seems to be the team motto, and it worked. I got so tired of waiting and watching people who arrived after me get their car cleaned, that I got in my car and went to the self serve vacuums and did my own interior. I absolutely love this car wash! Every time I come here, the staff are so happy and friendly, even after they have had to deal with my super dirty cars full of dog hair, dog slobber, and mud/dirt everywhere. When I first started coming here, it was for the quick drive-thru washes. But recently, I've switched to only doing the hand washes so I can get the interior cleaned, too. You cannot beat $35 for hand wash and interior clean!! I always tip at least $10 because I think my car must be among to dirtiest on the road and in so appreciative of the great service. read more

I used to have their monthly service. It lasted two months. The car wash does not wash cars. Fast forward six months I went in today to see if any better. First off the pay machines still do not work well. I paid $20. For a grand champion wash. I ask the young gal if there was an option to get the inside done, and she said yes but it is an hour and a half wait, then walked away. Well I went thru then around to vacuum. Vacuum worked great. I noticed my back window and hatch door were dirty. Unfortunately I do know of a drive thru car wash that can clean an suv well. I then walked around to vacuum the passenger side and was very surprised how dirty it was. I walked over and talked to the gal and she said I could drive thru again. I got home and there was water spots all over my brand new car. Yup this place still sucks. Used to think this place was a decent business. But BURNERS beware!!! They are charging exorbitant prices for even the tiniest amount of playa dust! We brought the car in already rinsed with our floor mats washed off as well. $75 for the $29 service and wanted to charge $250 to remove the small amount of dust from the carpet. The manager had no inclination to meet half way. Obviously there are some vehicles coming thru that are far worse than ours. We had a car cover on playa and taped the windows and doors. A simple consideration of that and practically no playa in or on the car would have kept us as customers. I was seriously considering their monthly fee but not now. read more

So there I was, leaving the 25,000 mile check up on my car, headed home for a date with my wife, when it occurred to me that having a nice clean car might a great way to start the evening, and if you knew my wife and our history of riding in cars together, you'd more fully understand how significant this little effort was. When she got into the car, she was able to notice the new car feel of the seats, as they had been cleaned by one of their trained professional staff members. Besides the seats, they had cleaned the windows and vacuumed the floor of the entire car. I drive a RAV4 and so they had popped up the lift gate and vacuumed that part of the vehicle as well. The outside had been run through the regular car wash machinery and the attendants there had done a nice job of scrubbing the bugs off the front, but the personal attendant in the shaded area did even more. He was working, almost bug by bug, to clear the front of the car, and this is even before he's done the inside. This place thoroughly exceeded my expectations and I was back the next day with my other car. This time I was prepared to tip properly, as I'm sure the folks doing the hard work are living on tips, as so many of us in Nevada have from time to time. What do you want in a good car wash? I'm betting they've got it here, and the drive up from Gardnerville is surely worth it. read more

For $12.95 a month you can get all the car washes you want. They have a fast pass system so you only have to open the window, tell the screen if you want extras or not and get your receipt, then you're off to the car wash. You do not have to leave your car either. It's not touchless - there are pads and brushes inside the car wash AND 2 guys will hose the car off and clean it down with soft brooms to get the extra bugs and grime off before it goes through the wash. For a drive-thru car wash, it's the best one I know of because of this extra service you get from the 2 guys before you go in. Finished at the dealership, & decided to get the car washed at Sierra, the car wash in Reno, I usually go to which is a Sierra car wash isn't as updated as this one in Carson City, but as the machines are cold-hearted the staff isn't much better. While going through the wash tunnel my car was covered in grease from another vehicle before me. After coming through the tunnel I noticed the windshield was covered in globs of grease, & when I got to the drying area I found the hood was covered with globs of grease, the staff treated me as if I was insane rolled their eyes, & basically found me to be a pain. I just wanted my car cleaned yet not I have to fight with the staff to get some sort of retribution. I know the job sucks but I only want the service I've paid for, nothing else. The only good thing is I had a lot of time to waste because it took over 50 minutes to get out of the car wash. read more
