I rarely write bad reviews but this was a major disappointment. I've been a Surf Thru car wash customer for years, but this Sierra Express car wash is closer to my house. Tried it for the first time today in hopes it would become my regular place and it took off the bottom part of my side passenger mirror casing! Went to get a quote for a fix and the part itself is $600 without labor. To make it worse, this all happened before I even had my coffee. On the positive side, my car is pretty clean (you can still see some bug residue on the mirror) and the attendants were super nice and friendly before I went through the wash. EDITED: Okay, Juan called me back and found my part in the car wash and was super nice and is trying to sort things out. I so appreciate that! Tentatively updating my review to 3 stars because sh!t happens but these guys are still providing good service. read more

The last few times I've gone there, my car really didn't get very clean. The dryers are pretty much useless, and there was still dirt on my car in places. The prices have gone up, and the service has gone down. I'm kind of over it, Surf Thru is better. Which is too bad, because Sierra Express is closer to my house. The wash itself is just mediocre, they don't use enough water and so it's always still dirty unless you go out and wipe everything down yourself by the vacuums. Today there were no towels on top of it out by the vacuums and so another customer had to go inside to get more towels because everyone outside didn't have any. When she went inside, everyone was on their phones. This is the second time I've gone and towels were not available. So unfortunately, I won't be going back to this car wash. read more

It would be great if you guys would stay open a little bit longer seeming as how you charge almost $40 for your memberships yet you keep taking away things like the towels and your service and your car washes are getting crappier and crappier because you guys don't wash your brushes. My car comes out dirtier than when it went in in the first place. Having to rewash my car after it just came out of a car. Wash is ridiculous. Recurring Charges Without Warning + Damaged My New Car I went to Sierra Car Wash in Carson City once, thinking I was paying for a single wash. Nowhere did they clearly explain that I was signing up for a recurring monthly membership. A month later, I noticed I was charged again--even though I hadn't gone back. When I called to dispute the charge and explained I had only used the wash once, they refused to refund me. No warning about a subscription, no receipt showing a recurring charge--just quietly charging my card. To make things worse, that one and only time I used the wash, it scratched up my brand new car. So not only did they damage my vehicle, they also kept my money for a service I never used again. Shady billing practices and poor wash quality. I absolutely do not recommend this place. read more

I was initially hesitant about taking my truck in to this car wash fearing my truck would get scratched. I looked at their website and it said that the wash will not damage my vehicle because they " use neoglide brushes that safely navigates around mirrors". I signed up for a membership. I took my truck in for a wash over a week ago and when I left I noticed that my passenger side mirror was pushed back. I pushed it back in place quickly because I had to get back to work. Once I arrived back at work I had more time to inspect my vehicle and noticed scratches consistent with brush marks on it. I filled out an incident report and sent them pictures. The manager calls me back and says that what happened to my mirror was a part of "standard operation" and that they refuse to take any liability including the scratches on the other areas. I've had my truck for barely a month and a half and this happens. If you read this, do not make the same mistake I did. $24 to have my truck scratched. read more

Well they now raised their prices to $22.00 for a basic car wash. With this price they should vacuum and dry my car. Even their employee was embarrassed to tell me the new prices. Guess I will wash my car at my house more often. Getting to the point where it's cheaper to buy a new presser washer and do it myself. read more

First time I've encountered this different carwash operator that spent such detail to the bug removal in the front of my vehicle. What a difference when I went to the vacuuming stalls to blow off the excess water from the crevices, that i noticed the almost debugged in the front of my vehicle. It was such a good job of prewash attention that I certainly went back to give the attendant my appreciation. Great job, I hope he stays. read more

I really like that they pay attention to the details and spray off behind the wheels.

They went the extra mile cleaning out our truck after the elk hunt. They noticed without us telling them that the blood was not washed off so they had us come back through three times and actually got in the bed of the truck to scrub it out for us! Amazing service and they give you a little rag so you can wipe down your mirrors after to remove spots and they gave us 2 dog treats for our pups! read more

New place on the block... well newest since they've been here for a while now. Has a free wash offer on the website for anyone who wants to vet them themselves. Overall I'd say it's great, went a couple times and consistently had 2 folks working the entrance pre soak and spay although that is not always the case. Even on the occasion that when there is one dude, they make the time to hit the entirety of the vehicle prewash so I don't really mind it and can see the staff honestly take their jobs seriously. Convinced me and went with the mid level monthly membership about month ago and it's pretty solid! I'm allowed 2 washes a day and they're closed anytime inclement weather is a thing which makes sense. Off the top of my head I think your standard wash is like $12. Monthly subscriptions are $20 to $30 range. They also have a family plan for those who care lol. There are a few spots that the wash does miss that I've noticed for my specific car and that's honestly not a huge deal for me or that I blame them since I usually pull over after and use their complimentary vacuum and towels to polish and throw on some fast wax. I usually just hand washed or did the coin wash prior to this but since literally sampling all of the other drive thru washes in Carson this seems to be the best and most consistent so good job! read more

I'm removing one star because today I went to wash one of my additional cars that I do not have on the monthly membership and they refused to take my $18 exact cash payment. If you don't trust your employees to collect cash payment you need to hire different people. Anyway, I just had to leave and go wash my car myself so any business that refuses to take cash I don't really like that so just be aware. read more

The membership seems like a good deal until they start double and triple charging you! Don't expect a call back when you try to reach them. They ignore it until you go to your bank. They should be charged with fraud. read more

It was so unexpected, I did not know how to act. And then the young man pre-washing my vehicle gave me a little packet to help clean my wheels and dry off my car when I went to vacuum. Went through the car wash this morning at about 10:30am. The larger set guy at the entry to the wash itself was awesome! Not only did he practically melt the bugs off my windshield and front grill, he went the extra mile and was sure to get them off my side mirrors as well! The car wash is a good value along with their family plan. Still new so all the soaps and brushes still clean very well. The vacuums work great! A great opportunity would be if they I stalled floor mat washers and some vending machines outside!!! read more
