I am seriously shocked at how good the food was and the overall experience. My girlfriend kept saying how the inside reminded her of how the titanic looked on the inside and I can definitely see that. The food was amazing. The menu had a bunch of great options to choose from but we went for the sirloin steak & shrimp scampi for entrees. Before the main course we ordered a plate of boneless wings (1/2 lemon pepper 1/2 buffalo). I can't tell but I think this were cut up and trimmed in house because I've never had boneless wings like this. They usually resemble chicken nuggets but these had a different shape to them. They were golden brown and fried to perfection with an amazing crunch! The flavors were just right and made the whole plate delicious. Like seriously I would go back just for the boneless wings. If you come here come HUNGRY because the portions are huge. My steak came with a choice of about 5 sides to choose from AND either soup or salad AND garlic bread. I went for the minestrone soup and I was very pleased. It was almost closer to a chili than minestrone but I enjoyed every single drop. It had a little kick of spicy that I loved! My steak was cooked to perfection and was a huge cut. Served with a big side of rice pilaf & veggies made it the perfect dinner for me. My girlfriend loved her shrimp scampi especially with the risotto and she ate them together as one. She liked how cheesy and creamy the risotto was. We also each got a desert to take home (we haven't tried them yet but they are huge). The prices of everything are really amazing as well! We had so much food and the total was around $75. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the two-headed shower was a nice treat. The bathroom, which had a chandelier, was as big as some hotel rooms. The grounds are also beautiful. Staff is helpful and friendly. Obviously, we enjoyed our stay as it was a great way to spend a weekend in the Foothills.

Rest has a nice happy hour in the lobby area with circular seating and a fire where they serve free (really good) wine for guests, who can socialize and relax before dinner or turning-in. I've met quite a few nice folks there and the majority are touring the 40+ wineries in the area (really nice wineries like Turley, Helwig, Andis, Terra d'Oro, Iron Hub and so many more). They serve many of the wines from the area, which is known for old-vine Zinfandel, Barbera, Rhône varietals (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre) and lots of small, family-owned wineries rather than the big guys in Napa and Sonoma. Different vibe. You can also visit historic Gold Country sites in and around the hotel, which makes for some interesting side trips. It's also just gorgeous to drive around. Lots of farm-to-table restaurants and other attractions. I love this area. This is also HORSE COUNTRY. There are many horse properties, horse trainers, coaches in every discipline, ranches and close-by is the legendary Murieta Equestrian Center if you're interested in competitions and shows (reining, ranch riding, cutting, western pleasure, sorting/penning, versatility, dressage, hunter/jumper, and such). Won't be back, won't recommend to any of my family or clients. Paid $300 for a room I didn't even spend an hour of my day in. Disaster !!!

We have seen this place get renovated a couple times now and the management is getting better and better with giving the people what they want. Although I do miss the pool towels being freely available by the pool area, there are plenty of better benefits added to compensate for that. Watching a movie while in the jacuzzi, the fun games around the office, and the cold snacks on some days are a nice touch. The renovated rooms are definitely the best part of coming to this place, the golf course nearby and the deer make it feel peaceful and quiet. It was just in me to write a review before leaving today From day one, we found ourselves having to ask for basic items that we normally expect to already be provided. There was no dish soap or hand soap when we arrived. On day two, we had to ask for coffee creamers, and we also had to request laundry detergent and no extra trash bags. It became a recurring theme throughout our stay -- constantly having to ask for things that we felt should have been available from the beginning. There was also a frustrating miscommunication with the sales/marketing team. The presentation was supposed to be for my folks, but there seemed to be a lack of verification regarding the names and who was actually supposed to participate. The sales approach was quite aggressive, and it could have been an embarrassing situation if we had shown up without realizing we didn't qualify. Fortunately, I double-checked with the concierge beforehand and was able to clear things up. The give aways are definitely eye catching but family time and peace of mind is priceless to me and my family. We are one of those that prefers quality time over business time As for the room, flies were definitely an issue. We expected to see some given the location, but there were quite a few around our room. And while eating at the patio, no courtesy to checking on 1st floor residence, there was a guy vacuuming above us with all the mess and leaves and dirt hitting our breakfast foods and us. I had to yell out to stop it. That said, there are definitely positives. The view is amazing. We had deer hanging out practically right on our patio, which was such a cool experience and probably one of the highlights of the stay. The resort also has a lot of amenities -- basketball, movies, pool tables, games, a coffee shop, swimming pools, and plenty for families to do. We were especially looking forward to the kids' pool because our 20-month-old daughter has recently become obsessed with swimming. The pool was warm and heated, which she absolutely loved.
