My car is fairly old with 170,000 on it at this point and a pretty difficult little mess. They were realistic and willing to have a real conversation without arguing when I told them I really was just trying to get this car to run for another year or so. That was all about a year and a half ago. Since then, there is almost no one else I will trust my car with. Ive been back 3-4 times. Changing oil, changing my ignition pin, replacing my rear differential, electrical work, my negative battery terminal, and fluid changes. Every time is a great experience. Everyone is friendly, they speak to you in terms you can understand, they have a nice little waiting room where I can always get work done, the prices are super fair, and the service is so fast and handled with expertise. They informed my warranty company that the engine repair would cost $28,000 for my 2006 Dodge diesel. They also told my warranty company that one of my injectors had gone bad and damaged my engine, causing it to knock. My injectors were only a little over a year old, and I have the receipts to prove it. They claimed that diagnosing the engine knock cost over $1,100. Please be cautious and avoid this shop.

We received text confirmations of the appointments, which included the shop's address! After each service, we received a detailed inspection report and invoice as PDFs and via text. Thursday night on my drive home, my check engine light came on. When I got home, I ran the code and…read moresaw it was a cylinder 4 misfire. The next morning, I called about four different auto shops, and every one of them told me the earliest they could get me in was by Wednesday, and some were even booked out two weeks. I decided to look for shops that were open on Saturday, hoping I could get in sooner. That's when I came across A+ Automotive and Smog on Google. I gave them a call, and Christian answered. I explained what was going on and asked when they might have an opening. To my surprise, he said to bring it down that same day, and he'd take a look at it. He also recommended having it towed in, which I did. Shortly after, he sent me a text to confirm that my car had arrived at the shop. A couple hours later, Christian called and explained that the issue was a faulty ignition coil. He walked me through how he diagnosed it and gave me two options: replace just the one faulty coil or replace all six. He recommended replacing all six since they were the same age and, in his words, "once one goes bad, the others usually aren't far behind." He was transparent about the pricing. It would be around $700 for just one coil or $950 for all six. He explained that Ford charges significantly more for a single part, and the total difference was only about $200. I decided to replace all six, and just a few hours later, he called to let me know my car was ready. I told him I'd have to wait for my wife to get off work before I could pick it up, and he said that was no problem at all. When I picked it up later that evening, my car was running perfectly smooth again. Between the quick turnaround, honest pricing, and excellent customer service, I can confidently say I've found my new mechanic. From now on, both my wife's car and mine will be going to A+ Automotive and Smog. Highly recommend this shop!

The shop manager (and I believe owner), Christian, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and great at communicating with me throughout the experience. Christian even stayed late for me to grab my house keys I forgot to take off the keychain when dropping off the car! As someone who loves working on my vehicle and has a slight distrust of taking my car into a random mechanic, I can say Christian has easily gained my trust and will definitely be returning to A+ Automotive for any repairs outside of my capabilities.
