Well, what can I say? Dr. Ricciardi and his team are amazing! Our appointment was at 7 AM and we were out of there by 8:20 AM just as they explained. My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed all at the same time. She felt no pain and the staff was just very professional and helpful. They put her at ease as well as myself. I had such a horrible experience with mine out, but they made us feel comfortable and made it painless and the very good experience. The office is clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. Let me start off by saying how incredibly nervous I was to go to the dentist (after putting it off for far too long) I had to have some major dental work done and couldn't put it off any longer. I called nervously and spoke to Lizzy. Right off the bat, she was so sweet and understanding and made me instantly feel better (this girl deserves an award for how great she is with people) When I arrived, everyone there was just as friendly, I was worried I would get scolded for letting it go this long but Dr. McShosh was patient, kind, informative, and did not make me feel bad at all. For me this goes a long way. Angoleece took my x rays during my first visit and also instantly calmed my nerves and was a true delight every visit after. I now see Megan (my hygienest) every 3 months and she is also absolutely amazing and is incredible at what she does and always makes me feel welcomed. All in all, this place has made me actually somewhat excited to go to the dentist, which I never thought was possible. I can't say it enough, Dr Archer is the pinnacle of dentistry. Not only do I get extreme anxiety but I have also ignored my dental issues for my entire adult life. She is attentive, caring and patient focused. I have been to her office more times in the past two months then I have been to any dentist in over 10 years. I have had severe dentist phobia and general anxiety my entire life. My teeth have been royally screwed up. I started going to Sierra Smiles back in 2016 to start the long journey to dental wellness. I can honestly say that I would not have been able to do all the work I needed if it wasn't for the amazing staff here. Every single dentist and dental assistant has been so nice. They have comfortable chairs, Netflix to watch, hot neck pillows infused with your favorite essential oil, and hand paraffin wax to help relax you. Some chairs are even capable of massaging! They really put emphasis on your comfort which is absolutely the most important thing for me. Today was the first day I had a panic attack in their office. For some reason, I was more anxious than usual and was feeling down about getting more dental work done. I was numbed up but absolutely ready to walk out of there and go home. I was crying and shaking and feeling so embarrassed. I have suffered from anxiety my whole life and I am not being hyperbolic when I say that Alicia, the dental assistant, handled it the best I've ever seen. She helped me feel calm, comforted, and supported. Dr. Bocchi was also so sweet and supportive. They didn't make me feel dumb or rushed. They gave me water and time to calm down while giving me reassurance. I can honestly say I was able to get my filling and crown today because of how supportive they were of my feelings and needs. Yes, they do great dental work, but they also have high empathy for their patients, which is one of the most important qualities of a dental office for me. I cannot recommend them enough. I wish that I could recommend this office, however I am very disappointed in my experience here. I was able to get in and get an exam and cleaning in a reasonable amount of time. The female dentist basically lectured me about how she treats the whole body and I needed to do a complicated study to get info about my oral health. I had to sign out a device and download an app and if I didn't return the device I would be charged. I never did the study and returned the device. I also needed a crown replaced, made sense. I have good insurance and they estimated my out of pocket to be a couple hundred dollars. So I had the work done and paid that day. Now, I know it's an estimate, but I expect it to be reasonably close. Not only did the crown fall off a couple weeks later (they did get me in to fix it quickly), but then I started getting billed for another $160. How could their estimate be so far off? They work with my insurance all the time. That is their JOB. So I asked to speak with the billing person to discuss before I paid. She's either busy or not working. I asked for her to call me.....at least 3 times. Never heard from anyone regarding the bill. I moved from the area last December. Not only are they still texting and emailing me spam about needing to come in for a checkup (I told them I was moving BTW), but now I received a nasty letter saying that my account is way past due and will be sent to collections. I have excellent credit and always pay my bills, and would gladly have paid this one had I been able to speak to someone and confirm that it was correct and understand why the large discrepancy. Leaves me thinking that this office just wants to get you in and make money but doesn't actually care to provide good customer service. read more

My life-long nightmare came true when I tripped and broke my front tooth almost in half (1/3). This happened on a Friday night and come the next morning, not a reliable dentist in Reno was available on a Saturday to fix my front left tooth until the upcoming Tuesday! Absolutely not, this was urgent and could NOT wait, I had to work at the wine bar that day. After many phone calls and tears I finally realized that since I'm a patient at Sierra Smiles they must have an emergency hotline, duh. I immediately called them and the emergency connection transferred me to Dr. John Bocchi's cell. He asked for a picture of my tooth so he could set something up quickly. Very prompt he was and had a team open the office just for me. Jackie, the assistant and Dr. Chelsea Dean (who happens to be my dentist after Summer K. left) were there within the hour. Dr. Dean was calm and very positive, she walked me through everything while she thought up a plan to fix my smile, which is going to be a bit of a process. For now, my tooth is unnoticeable until they construct my crown. Sierra Smiles really came through for me that snowy Saturday morning and I am forever thankful. It was so nice to be in the comfort of familiar dentist surroundings, rather than attempting a new dentist to fix my money maker. read more

Warning! Warning! Warning! Don't go to this dentist office because if you have insurance they gave you the wrong estimate way off. My husband went to this office and had procedure done. We pay over $3000. 2 months later I received another invoice costs over $1200. They gave you a high estimate insurance will pay to get you in there. They pretended "Oh no it wasn't my fault it's the insurance didn't pay enough" but not that far off. I guessed I'm not the first victim and won't be the last. Don't be the next victim. The office is very clean and the staff friendly; however, I came in having an issue with a tooth I needed a root canal for. While I was grateful for the "help" they were able to provide I was referred out and would have to wait at least a week and a half. I had to call multiple times to get prescribed antibiotics and pain medication. I also prepaid for an appt and decided after to cancel the upcoming appt as I found a diff office that was able to help me faster. I am still waiting for a refund of my money. Every time I speak to someone I get told I need to speak to someone else. I just want to know when my money will be returned for an appt that hasn't even occurred. read more
