BEST dental experience, bar none. A friend of mine had recommended them after the decision to leave our prior dentistry practice. First can we just talk about how great this location is, close to midtown, middle of everything, still ample parking. Looked to be a former residential residence, the building has so much character. Upon arrival I was greeted and not too long after they sat me down and started the process. They offered a neck pillow for comfort, tv overhead with earphones if you'd like. Incredibly friendly and helpful throughout without the awkward chatter many of us are accustom too in the chair- you know the continuation of questions while they are taking care of your visit for an in and out, in and out (the instruments) type of experience. The hygienist was fantastic and walked me through some things prior to the dentist arrival. Post this, the visit was great, I shared what I hoped to accomplish in upcoming visits, etc and they were not only incredible professionally but so personable and helpful! They laid out a plan and pricing up front, no hidden costs and were helpful with the scheduling even with it being so close to the holidays! I had been going to them for YEARS. I have such mixed feelings. Love the dental staff and Dr H, I even made a few knit hats for their babies. And what I'm very disappointed in is the billing. They stopped taking my insurance and I have a secondary insurance to cover costs. They told me that they could bill the secondary after the primary insurance decided what they would cover. The office manager never billed my secondary, she would constantly call and text to get me to pay the difference. After three visits of "you owe us money" because they didn't bill my secondary, I was done. Cindy is very rude and snooty. She even told my husband that I still owed them $130 from a "really long time ago" when it's actually on $37. Even the voicemail saying "we've waited a long time for this" is outrageous to me. You didn't bill my insurance, you tried to get money out of ME instead. read more

This dentist ruined my daughters teeth so much so that she will now need root canals and possibly verniers. She is only 20 years old and her teeth were in good condition before allowing them to fill a few cavities. They drilled her teeth down so much that her new dentist has said she basically has no tooth left to hold onto the fillings that Floss Dental put on her teeth. They all fell out less than a month after Floss Dental did them. Pitiful care and something that should last her a lifetime is now ruined because of them. Pathetic! I recently switched dental offices and all I could say is I wished I would have done it sooner. I love the way the place looks from the inside and out. As soon as you walk in you feel relax. On cool days you can see the lit fireplace as you walk in. I love seeing all of the plants through out the office as well. My hygienist Carli such a great job cleaning my teeth. She's very thorough and professional. You also get to watch TV while they clean your teeth oh and you get a neck pillow with aromatherapy so could really feel relaxed. The aesthetic is just too good- hard wood floors, original tile bathroom, brick fireplace, etc. The scented neck pillow is one of my favorite things ever and I can't wait for the parafin hand wax treatments to come back (thanks rona). The tv on the ceiling with Netflix going is also a major perk. As it relates to dentistry though, they are thorough and gentle and I trust them completely. I've been going to floss for over 5 years now and won't go to any other dentist in town. Floss makes going to the dentist an almost relaxing experience. The environment here is so nice and cozy, it's the opposite of the average dental office. They give you essential oil scented and warmed neck pillows to relax you during your cleaning and have tvs above each chair so that you can watch that and focus less on the cleaning. My friend suggested this place and I was sold when she told me that they did a paraffin wax while you get your teeth cleaned - I'm bougie like that. When I arrived I wasn't sure if it was the actual office since it looked like a house. I parked on the street (not hard to find) but there is a mini parking lot for clients behind the office. I love the unique touches an office adds like this one - they had Halloween decorations up, a cute coffee/tea station, and the receptionist was very sweet and helpful. I loved that the office was all women! They were not only curious about my teeth but about me. I felt so welcome and taken care of. I enjoyed a deep cleaning (which isn't the most fun) while watching Netflix (did I mention the warm essential oil-infused neck pillow). FTW! However based off the reviews I'd read about Floss here on Yelp, I figured I would give it a try. I cannot even begin to say how great of an experience it was. From the receptionist at the front, to the lovely gal who did my X-rays, to the nicest hygienist I've ever come across, to Dr. Holloway, everyone was just amazing. They were 1 number off for my cell number, so I did not get the customary 48hour reminder, so I was charged $65!!!!! for the missed appt. To start, floss does not feel like a typical dentist's office. It's warm and inviting and Cindy, at the front desk, is so welcoming. Cindy is also great at dealing with difficult insurance companies, which she has had to do for me on numerous occasions. Xuan-Thu is my dental hygienist and she's amazing. She seems to somehow remember everything we talked about six months ago. Also, since I have extremely sensitive teeth, she makes sure to use something to help prior to starting the cleaning. She makes sure to check in periodically to ensure I'm not in pain. If you're not in to talking during your appointment, floss has TVs above each chair and headphones so you can watch your chosen TV obsession, but Xuan-Thu is a great conversationalist. Lastly, I've also had to get a crown and a few fillings so I've spent a lot of time with Kristi and Dr. K. They're both amazing. Dr. K is so invested in your teeth and ensuring that they look they're best. During any dental work, both Dr. K and Kristi make sure to check in frequently to ensure you're still doing ok. I've also had some pretty good conversation with Kristi about baking. Again, I'm not sure how everyone seems to remember what we talked about the last appointment since typical dentist appointments are not close together in time.
