I mentioned to Chris that something went awry after we tried to secure the cover of the Nest thermostat (it was loose from the wall). The AC had worked before but after doing something with the cover, the AC stopped working. Chris quickly found the problem (a fuse had blown out). Chris was very professional, gave me some ideas on a Honeywell thermostat (we're not BIG fans of the new NEST thermostat), showed me how to read the error codes on our furnace (watch the number of red light flashes and compare it to the brochure left with the furnace). It was easy, peasy, even someone like me who has no HVAC experience could do this. I can't thank Chris enough for his great personality, true professionalism, answered my questions, taught me a few things (learning something new is always good) and even loved on my 2 labs (turns out we both love animals). They then would not certify that my AC unit was working correctly. Within an hour of departure the unit stopped working. They sent same man back that evening, he got it to work then an hour later, no longer working. Next they sent someone else out who said it just had to be our breaker which I doubted. Still I updated new breaker and the AC unit stopped working again. I have asked to speak to manager. The operator takes my messages and I have never received a returned calls, two weeks later still no call. They were suppose to send out an emergency tech. No one has showed up. Called and couldn't get any response other than the woman who answer phone. What a joke. **Update** I am revising my score. I finally received a phone call this morning to discuss my situation and we agreed on the next steps. They were very apologetic but its sad it had to come to this to get a response.

Six months ago I shopped around for a plumber to replace our water heater that had been out far…read morelonger than I'd like to admit, but I was finally getting it done. The company sent out a young but very knowledgeable and adept plumber out the next day, who made quick work of removing the old tank, helping me rebuild the platform that was now ruined, and installed a new tank with new piping. I was very impressed with the speed and expertise of the job! While maybe not the cheapest company I received a quote from, it was certainly not as expensive as many of the lower-rated companies, and had the quickest turnaround to my family's hot water back on. Today (six months after the new install), the release valve popped on the water heater and we lost hot water. I shut it down and turned off the water and gas, and immediately called for help. It was 4pm (and I live in Fernley). I had taken a photo, as well, and texted it to them showing exactly what to expect. By 5:15pm, there was a plumber at my door (they made record time all the way from Reno in heavy traffic on I-80!) and they repaired the faulty valve and also repaired an exhaust pipe (from original home construction) that had started bending. All under warranty from the work they had done previously for me. Again, I was very impressed, and I am 100% completely satisfied by having chosen such a reputable plumbing company!

Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing lied about service rendered!…read more They claimed to have shut off the water & drained our water heater. the problem? the drain broke off the water heater, & the water main was shut off an hour prior to them getting on site. we just requested a quote for replacement. they voided the invoice when called out, but if they lie about the most simple & verifiable things, imagine how much they would lie to screw you out of as much money as possible when you're not able to validate. also fyi I replaced the water heater myself in 3 hours as a complete amateur & it cost $760 instead of the $3,300 quoted. (permits & inspections costs included!)
