I want to thank technician, Chris Godwin, for helping us resolve our AC problem involving the NEST…read morethermostat. I mentioned to Chris that something went awry after we tried to secure the cover of the Nest thermostat (it was loose from the wall). The AC had worked before but after doing something with the cover, the AC stopped working. Chris quickly found the problem (a fuse had blown out). Chris was very professional, gave me some ideas on a Honeywell thermostat (we're not BIG fans of the new NEST thermostat), showed me how to read the error codes on our furnace (watch the number of red light flashes and compare it to the brochure left with the furnace). It was easy, peasy, even someone like me who has no HVAC experience could do this. I can't thank Chris enough for his great personality, true professionalism, answered my questions, taught me a few things (learning something new is always good) and even loved on my 2 labs (turns out we both love animals). Thank you, Chris! You're the absolute best! Sierra Air is *very* lucky to have you on their staff.

Within an hour of departure the unit stopped working. They sent same man back that evening, he got it to work then an hour later, no longer working. Next they sent someone else out who said it just had to be our breaker which I doubted. Still I updated new breaker and the AC unit stopped working again. I have asked to speak to manager. The operator takes my messages and I have never received a returned calls, two weeks later still no call. They were suppose to send out an emergency tech. No one has showed up. Called and couldn't get any response other than the woman who answer phone. What a joke. **Update** I am revising my score. I finally received a phone call this morning to discuss my situation and we agreed on the next steps. They were very apologetic but its sad it had to come to this to get a response.

Six months ago I shopped around for a plumber to replace our water heater that had been out far…read morelonger than I'd like to admit, but I was finally getting it done. The company sent out a young but very knowledgeable and adept plumber out the next day, who made quick work of removing the old tank, helping me rebuild the platform that was now ruined, and installed a new tank with new piping. I was very impressed with the speed and expertise of the job! While maybe not the cheapest company I received a quote from, it was certainly not as expensive as many of the lower-rated companies, and had the quickest turnaround to my family's hot water back on. Today (six months after the new install), the release valve popped on the water heater and we lost hot water. I shut it down and turned off the water and gas, and immediately called for help. It was 4pm (and I live in Fernley). I had taken a photo, as well, and texted it to them showing exactly what to expect. By 5:15pm, there was a plumber at my door (they made record time all the way from Reno in heavy traffic on I-80!) and they repaired the faulty valve and also repaired an exhaust pipe (from original home construction) that had started bending. All under warranty from the work they had done previously for me. Again, I was very impressed, and I am 100% completely satisfied by having chosen such a reputable plumbing company!

Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing lied about service rendered!…read more They claimed to have shut off the water & drained our water heater. the problem? the drain broke off the water heater, & the water main was shut off an hour prior to them getting on site. we just requested a quote for replacement. they voided the invoice when called out, but if they lie about the most simple & verifiable things, imagine how much they would lie to screw you out of as much money as possible when you're not able to validate. also fyi I replaced the water heater myself in 3 hours as a complete amateur & it cost $760 instead of the $3,300 quoted. (permits & inspections costs included!)

Goettl may be a little more expensive than some other companies, but the level of service and peace…read moreof mind has absolutely been worth it for us. We moved into an older home and have already dealt with several issues, so having their leak detection service has been a lifesaver more than once. They send alerts through calls and messages, and they're proactive about scheduling the twice-yearly AC/heating maintenance so you never have to remember to do it yourself. With an older house and previous AC problems...it's well worth it. Their team is always responsive, easy to schedule with, and willing to take the time to explain what's going on instead of rushing through the appointment. I especially want to recognize Geo. We had an emergency situation and he came out quickly while keeping me updated on his arrival the entire time. He found the issue fast, but what stood out most was how much time he spent explaining what happened, why it happened, and what the repair process could look like moving forward. That level of communication and transparency is rare, and I really appreciated it. I will stay with Goettl due to their customer service alone.

So this review is is for service over the past year…read more A short history. A few years ago, we had four seasons put in a new furnace. After checking around and getting tons of estimates, there was as much as a $10,000 difference between all of the estimates. Four seasons came in at the best price. Unfortunately, I ordered an 80,000 BTU furnace and when the guy was done, I looked at the furnace and saw that it was a 60,000 BTU. I showed the guy the invoice and basically his response was ' Oh crap' so I talk to the manager and he assured me that 60,000 BTU would heat my home sufficiently since it was a high-efficiency unit. I was ready to have them tear it out and put the right one in, when the manager guaranteed the furnace and gave me the price for the 60 KBTU with a substantial discount. I did the regular maintenance and service service with four seasons. When Goettl took over, I'm not sure if they just change the name, or bought four seasons, but everything changed after that. First I was informed of a membership called Sadie which is basically a yearly/monthly fee that allows us to get a lot of benefits. Free service calls, free, free preventative maintenance and discounts on non-covered items. The first thing that I noticed was Josh came in to do a service, check the pressure and saw that the original installation guy did not convert my furnace to propane. Apparently none of the other service people ever checked the pressure. He had to return with the correct parts and changed out the valve. He also helped me out with a bathroom heating duct that was ripped. The price was great and he said he felt bad that we had such issues with the previous company. A few months later (last Saturday) we stopped getting heat. I called Goettl let them know, and they were at my house within two hours. When it's freezing outside or going to be subzero it's really important when they respond so quickly. Chris was the technician and he found the problem, however, the plumbing supply company was not open till Monday morning. Two days with sub, freezing temperatures scaring me a bit. Chris said that he would check with Dispatch and see if they had a couple of space heaters. When he was leaving, he noticed we had a bunch of firewood on the front and he offered to help bring firewood in. I told him no problem we had it, he said he was happy to help us. Make sure we had enough firewood to get through two days. These two offers, were above and beyond in something you really wouldn't expect from your HVAC people. Unfortunately, they didn't have any space heaters at Dispatch, so we went to Home Depot and got some radiator heaters and then yes 24 hours a day kept a fire going. Chris showed up Monday about 11 AM with the parts and it took him about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to fix all of the problems. I'm not savvy with all of the HVAC terms, but something about condensate water bill backed up through the system blah blah blah... we now have heat. lol. Getting the Sadie member membership/club was the best thing we decided to do. They call us regularly to schedule our summer and winter maintenance. They are responsive. And they are very polite every time I call them. I really would recommend you contacting them and get on that membership before you actually need them. Thank you, Josh and chris and unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the female technician that came out and changed our filters but she was awesome also!
