I have used Gary's Plumbing several times and they are amazing. Unlike many companies, they get you in quickly and when you call the office, you get a person not a machine. They are good at keeping you informed of when they will be at your house. I had them come out for a broken garbage disposal. I thought it was just clogged but they showed me how it was broken and he had the unit on hand so it was repaired quickly. Gary was professional and kind. The work cost was very reasonable and done well. I hope I don't need a plumber any time soon but if I do, I will definitely call Gary's plumbing again. read more

While shopping for water valves at Western Supply Hardware, I asked a salesman if he knew of a good, reputable plumber I could hire to remove the pop in/out water control valves and install the more simple/dependable ON/OFF valves. The salesman referred me to Garys Plumbing so I placed a call and got an immediate response with an appointment and it was a "Live Person" on the phone -vs- AI that drives me crazy when I have to repeat myself over and over. Gary and his helper showed up on time and were done in about 3 hours after testing for leaks and doing clean-up. Wow there is still something very pleasant about being treated like a customer and getting the job done right. Now I don't have to worry about the plastic valves failing as they are known to do......I don't need the messy clean up. If you have a plumbing need that is a bit out of the ordinary, I recommend Garys Plumbing; they know Plumbing and they will not waste your time. I would not recommend this company, unfortunately. I used them multiple times and was always satisfied with the work and customer service until now. I had my tenant tell me her garbage disposal was leaking that was replaced by this team under a year prior and ran into an unethical situation explained below. I called and let their team know the scenario, that it probably was a 5 minute fix (as all it could be was the mountain bracket) and they said they could not service it for 5/6 days due to being busy. Understandable except for the circumstances. Unfortunately it's not ethical to have a tenant wait this long without a functioning kitchen sink; multiple days let alone almost a week. I proceeded to call another plumber. This plumber stated it was not correctly installed and the screws were not tightened as well that one was not even installed. It ended up being a 5 minute fix for $200. I let the team know prior I would need to call another plumber and that if it was a technician error, that they should consider reimbursement of the invoice, due to the work being less than a year old. I sent them the invoice and asked their thoughts. I immediately was contacted by the technician who was very worked up over the matter and he then belittled me and stated it was on me that I could not wait 5+ days to have them get to it (had zero care or concern that my tenant would not have a working kitchen) and insinuated that my tenant must have unscrewed the screws (which unfortunately is just unprofessional and is not something that made sense). The fact that poor work was done and not warranted is one thing, but to have no desire to admit fault and become aggressive towards me over the matter, made me uncomfortable to the point that I wrote this review. There are many options of plumbers in Reno. This one unfortunately lost my trust and respect and I personally feel they should take this as a learning lesson to better themselves. This company as well accused me of not paying an invoice and tried to collect twice and I had to have my accountant provide evidence I did. That's just not Ok. read more

So Happy to have found Gary's Plumbing! I have been looking for a honest, reliable, and talented plumber for some time. Saw referral for Gary's plumbing 1st on Next Door then went to yelp for additional info and a quote. This was for a rental property so we had to orchestrate everything from the arrival of the toilet to tenant/plumber schedule to picking up the toilet. Toilet did not fit due to builder not running the water line properly so toilet had to be returned as well as pick up another for the install. Gary did EVERYTHING without a hitch. Packed up the toilet met me at home depot took the new toilet back and installed it. It's times like this when it would be easy for someone to take advantage. They showed up at our house less than a day after contacting them. The customer service was excellent. As it turns out our disposal was jammed and Gary was able to fix it right away.
