We originally had friendly plumbing sent to us by our home warranty who sucks. But that's a different story. They have been to our house a few times over the years and our experience is always very good. So good that we won't call our warranty company and we call them directly. Prices are fair for getting rid of clogs both in said and out side the house. Friendly and I can only recall one time them being a little late. Two other companies quoted me 2000-3000 for a simple patch over the crack. Carlos did the job for 740 and replaced the line from the meter past the cracked section and tied in with the existing line and insulated the exposed pipes for added protection. I live in a manufactured home and needed a gas line shortened beneath my kitchen stove. After many plumbing companies refused me service because my home is not stick-built, I found this company. They charge by the hour and were able to come out a couple of days after initially calling them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their office was very polite and professional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And I wanted especially thank their mechanic, Carlos, who came out to our home. He too was professional. He was also seemed highly competent, thorough and friendly. His thorough service also included finding a leaky gas valve that had nothing to do with the gas stove pipe he altered. While thoroughly testing the gas system in my house he found a leak, thankfully on the outside, which he was able to fix just by tightening an outside on/off valve. He could have made this into more of a job, if he had wanted to. I am not knowledgeable about gas lines. But after finding the leak he just tightened the valve and didn't particularly charge me extra, just the time involved. I would recommend this company. read more

Friendly plumbing replaced our water heater and it was overall a good experience! We got a new tank and had our new home come up to code. They were able to do a consultation same day, and then they had someone able to replace the heater the next day. It did take a really long time to replace, like 6 hours at least maybe 7, which we were surprised by but they did a thorough job so that's what matters! Calling was a bit of a pain and we did feel like we had to call to figure anything out, instead of being called with the information we were waiting for, so that was kinda a bummer. Beyond the pail! But let me explain. I was searching for someone to fix and repair a leak my 73 year old mother has in her trailer home. Was initially quoted $110 and was told they are only 7 minutes away from her house. The tech shows up on a Friday morning, and I'll be generous here. Maybe spent 5 minutes and explained to me over the phone we don't do this and I'll find a referral that does. Never did. Fast forward to yesterday, Tuesday. And now they're attempting to collect $110 for 12 minutes?!!! Lol wow!!! I explained that isn't reasonable or fair. Was later told $55 will be fine. I find it disgusting a company reads a situation to take advantage of an elderly woman who has dementia and alzheimer's. I'm her son and I'm navigating from out of state. My toilet was particularly a pain to take apart because he said it was old and the bolts were stuck on tight. They installed a commercial tankless water heater for me, moved 2 bathrooms worth of plumbing around for me and have handled a few emergencies. If you happen to end up with a newbie who doesn't quite know how to handle the job, they will definitely make things right and will go above and beyond to assure you're happy. Ultimately, I now know to ALWAYS request Aaron or Josh. Their by-the-job pricing is great and their hourly rate is very reasonable too... they don't seem to be double dipping (charging 2 different customers for the same hour) like I have encountered with other plumbers here in Reno. Never really got a chance to experience the actual plumbing work... as I had to engage with a really rude and short receptionist, for nearly a MONTH while she worked with American Home Shield to replace my water heater (which also feeds my heater). She blamed them, they blamed her - and in the end, after ONE MONTH of no hot water or heat, my cost of replacement went from $275 (covered by insurance) to $3,600. Thanks J****. Your lack of communication and rudeness over the phone is inexcusable in a business like this, and it is not surprising that the insurance company cut you off from the job. Called to have my water heater replaced and I was told to get my permit, so I went ahead and got my permit, called them a couple of time and they said they were on the other line and will call back .. 2 days later I get a call from a lady named Julie and she yells at me for getting a permit - which her staff instructed me to do .. and has the balls to say " if we are busy why don't you call someone else and have your water heater installed " ... I tried to explain to her that her staff asked me to get the permit and she says flat out says " No we did not " when she has a bunch of folks answering the calls. I could care less about this poor business but to call and treat your customer like a criminal is absolutely appalling .. If something went wrong, I would have expected a conversation and not accusations .. just sad and sorry for this business !! read more

Stay away, horrible service! This company was assigned to me through my home warranty company. I had a drain clog. First, was hard to get a hold of someone to get an appointment. Then finally get a plumber scheduled, he comes out, didn't fully complete, the job, I had to call him to come back. The primary issue was in the downstairs shower, he basically said the pipe was ruptured, and would have to tear the whole bathroom apart to find/fix the issue. I was skeptical of this response, but besides the point, I was out when he was there. And when I came back (after it had rained), my bath rug was dirty/wet/muddy. The plumber didn't re-install a few wall panels either. Then a week or 2 later, a different tech came out. He checked out the slow shower drain, started doing some work to clear it, and seemed to be making good progress. He mentioned nothing of broken pipes, just said it would take some additional work/time. This was in the late afternoon, then he said it was end of his shift, so he just got up/left. Also didn't replace some of the wall panels he removed. Long story short, they said tough luck on the rug, and they weren't going to come back out to properly finish the job (when the home warranty company called them about this, they just said to find someone else. Receptionist/office manager was completely rude, and hung up the phone on me. Highly recommend going with another plumbing company that offers good service and integrity in how they do business, because there was nothing "friendly" here. read more

Plumber showed up and honestly did not know where the on off switch was located? did not bring in any tools, keep going to his van to get simple tools such as a screwdriver or a manometer. Had the misfortune of getting my sewer drain backed up in my home but had the pleasure of working with Josh from Friendly Plumbing to fix the situation. As the drains were back flowing we both assumed the main sewer drain was blocked up. Sadly, snaking the drain did nothing to repair the issue. The last resort was going to come from having to let all the water slowly drain to remove a toilet and clean the pipes that way. Something that would have left us without working toilets and showers another 24 hours at least. Josh racked his brain and came up with another plan to work from the faucet lines to fix the issue and several Clorox wipes removed later the water was flowing again like normal and the possible stress of having to deal with this for another night was handled. Professionalism, care and knowledge saved the day and I couldn't have been happier with the result. Rescheduled job for next day, was 30 minutes late with no call to customer in which they said they would call before coming for job. Tech showed up and did not have job sheet and said he only knows of one project, but there were 3 projects to be worked on that day. Called receptionist and she said Tech has all 3 jobs on his job sheet. Receptionist and Tech were rude and arrogant and appeared not to really be concerned with doing the job. We were connected with Friendly Plumbing through our home warranty, Fidelity. Our water heater went out Wednesday morning (yay, while it's been snowing) and the soonest they could have someone out was Friday. We made the appointment and Carlos showed up during the 3-5 timeframe. Long story short, we had to replace the water heater. We decided to pay overtime for Carlos to come out on Sunday to replace it instead of waiting for sometime during the week. At this point, we're going on day 5 of no hot water. No fun! Carlos was friendly and got the job done. Julie, the dispatcher, was also friendly and tried to make everything as easy as possible for us! My Home Warranty called this coming for me and they sent someone out to my rental property to fix the water heater as it was leaking, They told my tenant that they could fix it but it would cost their landlord alot of money that water heaters always leak and to just put a bucket under it, needless to say a couple months later my tenant tells me this, but asked me to fix it anyway because she could not keep up with the dumping of the bucket as it was filling up to fast. Update: Turns out that the warranty would only cover some of what we needed done (bummer, but not FP's fault.) The plumber left that day saying he would return later after gathering the materials and never showed up again. I got a call from the warranty company explaining why. Then, much later that evening FP called to reschedule for them to come that next Monday to fix remaining issues. Monday came and went and the plumber never showed. Turns out it was a communication mistake with the secretary on the day and time. Plumber came the very next day, right on schedule to fix the issue. Was really timely, detailed, and clean. Showed me all his work at the end and was very organized with the paperwork. In the end, still very pleased we went with FP and recommend them to anyone with plumbing issues or needs in the Reno area. Very, very happy with the work that was done! read more

We had them out for various plumbing issues through our home warranty. Carlos was super nice and fixed the more run-of-the-mill plumbing issues with no problem, but he just couldn't figure out the issue with our water heater/recirculation pump. They came out 3 or 4 times and kept replacing the pump, but the issue (had to wait 2 minutes before getting hot water) would still persist. Finally, their dispatcher rather rudely said they couldn't help us and basically said our house was just too big. The home warranty company reassigned us to another company, who diagnosed and fixed the problem on the first try, and now we have hot water in 10 seconds throughout our "big house". While Friendly Plumbing was friendly in the beginning, I would not do business with them again because of that last exchange with their dispatcher. read more

These guys are amazing. I called my home warranty people the night before they arrived and they immediately had someone ready to go for the next morning between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. I told the dispatcher that I needed someone to take care of my leaking sink all before 10:00 and let me tell you- he made it happen !!!. Josh arrived at my home right around 8:30, immediately diagnosed the leaking sink problem, sawed off a pipe with a sawzall, drove to Home Depot for a part, came back, replaced everything, and I had a brand new, shiny, left side sink drain all by about 9:50, 10 min. before my deadline. Very friendly and fast. I loved the fact that he didn't mind wearing booties into my home on the carpet, especially since one of the last plumbers that came out told me that OSHA prohibited him from taking his shoes off in our home ( which is our rule) so he just walked through our home on the carpet with his dirty boots.
