We rented Casa Mar unit 15 last week. After we got there we found out that most of the people we were there with rented through Casa Mar. Our units rent price was almost $1000.00 dollars more a week. Our unit was not any better than theirs. Also, we had a message on the refrigerator to wash all of our towels and dishes before we left. I have never stayed anywhere that has required that. I would think you would want to have housekeeping to do this to make sure that they are properly cleaned. There was not a washer and dryer in the unit, so we had to use the coin machines. read more

I have been visiting Siesta Key for 20 years and have always rented with the same two condo properties. This year, I decided to schedule a trip in February, and being the busiest season, I didn't have many choices. I rented a nice little condo from Siesta4Rent, paid my deposit and they made the transaction very easy. I had to cancel my reservation and understood that I would have to give up my deposit. I didn't even question it. This morning I received a call from Tara (Siesta4Rent) and she informed me that they were able to rent the unit and my deposit would be refunded (less a very small fee.) This absolutely made my day! Tara was very helpful and professional with the entire reservation process. They did not have to do this, and I didn't expect it. We rented 5120 Sandy Shore for the month of February. First, I want to say that Siest4Rent people did try to help us every time we had issues, but we had so many issues with the property, and they really should have known how bad this property looked. First, I sat on the bed in the master bedroom to change my shoes and the squeaking was so loud. I called and said there was no way that we could sleep on this bed. They did come out and replace box springs. Then we went to bed, I pulled back the sheets, and there was a huge bleach stain on the sheets. The sheets looked like they were about 10 years old and were a strange green color. Also, the towels were threadbare and some had stains on them. I called the next day and they did bring new sheets and towels, but these were really all in bad shape and there is no way the owners should have left them this way. There was a hole in the dust ruffles on each of the twin beds in the one bedroom and there is no excuse for that at all. Whoever is changing the linens should have noticed all of this The shower in the master bathroom is in the tub and the tub drain is all rusted out. The toilet handles in all of the bathrooms are all worn, and the toilet brush holders are all rusted. These would cost about $5 to replace so not sure what happened there? Also, the glass door was installed the wrong way so you cannot turn on the water without getting sprayed in the face. There is also mold in all of the bathrooms. When I took a shower in the hallway bathroom, the water came up about 6 inches since the drain would not go down. They had to call a plumber, but there is no way that no one would have noticed how bad this is? We also called when we checked in to ask where the grill was. When we checked in, there was a discarded grill at the end of the driveway. There were instructions on the refrigerator for operating the grill, and there was no grill. When I called, they said the owner decided not to replace it for insurance reasons. We have rented many times in Siesta Key from Cottages on the Key, and they all come with grills? Also no bikes to use. The owner's bikes were covered in plastic and locked up. We took beach chairs down to the beach when my son visited, and when he sat down, the chair was all rusted and collapsed, so we had to buy our own beach chairs. Also, the pool never got warm on the cooler days. The pool guy said that you have to reset the box in the garage to get it restarted, and it operates on a heat pump. so if the weather is cooler, the heater does not work? Never heard of this. We paid about $9,000 for the month of February which was so ridiculous for this home. The furniture is all outdated and strange? Some kind of weird safari vibe going there, but really cheap old furniture. The people in the office at Siesta Key were so nice but this property is really run down and should not be rented out. read more

Upon arrival to the Siesta -4-rent office, we had no explanation on things to do or where to even go for our condo...guess we were suppose to just know. Upon entering the 1/1 condo at Bay Oaks we noticed the slight smell , kinda musty, outdated everything. We had to go purchase everything ( we left our leftover garbage bags, aluminum foil,plastic wrap ect.) Most of the outlets didn't work, lights didn't work, the light over table crackled when we turned it on. Bed was very uncomfortable and fitted sheet kept coming off the corners of the bed. For the price we expected more but I guess greed is in control now. read more

We honestly didn't have a good experience with Siesta 4 Rent. When we checked in the staff told us the garbage disposal didn't work. I asked if they were planning to fix it, and the guy said, "nope." We got to our condo and the WiFi wasn't working, a light wasn't working, other lights didn't have lightbulbs, there is a hole in the wall in a bathroom, the tub didn't drain, dishes that were put away had crumbs, bugs or mold in them and the place was dirty. The owners must live there because the closets and drawers are cluttered. We called the day we arrived for help, then emailed a few times to get assistance. Apparently they don't work at all on Sundays, as we had to wait until Monday to get any assistance. The Maintenance Man was super friendly. They offered to send housekeeping out - but we don't live in filth and cleaned the condo on our own. They never offered to refund any portion of our stay. We won't be using Siesta 4 Rent again, nor will we recommend it to our many friends who visit Siesta Key regularly. Pictures included... read more

Let me start by saying that we have been utilizing Siesta Key for aren't for many years and up until now have had a good experience. First, we stayed at the 441 Beach Rd. address. Each day we had an issue with the unit and had each issue addressed by management but someone different was working in the home almost everyday. Not something we wish to experience while on vacation. We have had Siesta 4 Rent manage and rent our home on Siesta Key for the past 5 years. We have been very satisfied as an owner with the services of Siesta 4 Rent. Generally Siesta 4 Rent has done an excellent job of renting our 3 bdrm 2 bath pool home near Crescent beach. The only complaint we have is with the cleaning crew responsible for cleaning and restoring the home for the next tenant after vacancy. They seem to regularly miss stains on the carpeting and dirt and debris left by tenants behind furniture and in cabinets. When my wife and I show up after a rental we often find things the cleaning folks have missed. read more

I have stayed in Unit C119 many times over the past 20 years and always have a wonderful time. The place has a classy feel to it and is always clean (bathrooms/carpets/kitchen-places I feel CLEAN is critical.) The master suite is very comfortable with plenty of space and a HUGE bed. Upstairs room is ideal for additional guests who have their own bathroom. Less then 5 mins to the beach, nice people staying in the other rentals, nice pool if that is your preference! Love walking to the downtown for dinner (and ice cream/s) as it is safe and well lit. Love staying here with my parents, a true home away. read more

We did a weekly Rental at 1034 Crescent St. It's a 4 bd. 3 bath home wirh a private pool and a 3min. Walk to the beach. it has a updated kitchen new appliances there are 2 bedrm on each side of the house with 2 master bdrms. We've rented from siesta 4 rent for 12 years, sent numerous friends and neighbors to them, but that ends after this stay. Rude, unprofessional, defensive office staff, completely inflexible and unwilling to be cordial and work with their guests. I certainly understand that they are bound by agreements with property owners, but a smile, friendly explanation of why things are a certain way, and a willingness to listen would go a long way rather than a repetition of "it's on our website" and "it's policy". I will never rent from them again, and will encourage friends to look elsewhere as well. I certainly wouldn't want this unfriendly staff representing my property. read more

My husband and I have rented from Siesta 4 Rent in the past, but are now reluctant to due to their pet policy. They require a $200 nonrefundable fee, should you stay in a pet friendly unit. I would understand if the $200 was a deposit and then refunded after your stay (should your pet not cause any damage), but since it is not and a cleaning fee is already factored in to your stay, we feel $200 is a bit much. Now we have always enjoyed renting from Siesta 4 Rent in the past, but since our dog travels a lot with us, it is this one policy that holds us back. read more

This was our first trip to the Siesta Key, Sarasota area and it will not be our last. However, it will be our last time dealing with Siesta 4 Rent. Since their business doesn't feel the need to warn people that there are cockroaches in their units, I am here to warn you. We arrived at our unit a little after two as directed. This particular unit was across the street from the rental office. We entered our unit to find 10+ dead cockroaches on the floor. I went back to the office and told them that it was unacceptable. The woman stated they had no other place to put us and they would send someone over to clean. CLEANING wasn't the issue, BUGS were the issue. We ended up having to go back to the office again and demanded to either get a different rental or get our money back. Miraculously they found a unit and complained that it was "more than what we paid"... oh well. Not our problem. If you have bugs in the unit THAT WE CAN TAKE HOME WITH US that is your problem not ours. We got moved to a different unit which had ants all over the kitchen but we would have much rather have ants than cockroaches if we had to choose. We gave up at that point and just ended up staying. They weren't the least bit apologetic and even seemed annoyed with our disgust with the bug infested unit. I am so appalled with this company. read more

We have stayed at Crystal Sands four times. We come down twice a year for 5 weeks. This time we stayed in unit 1001. This unit has not been renovated in at least 30 years. (1989 microwave still in unit). We had to ask for a new mattress, old one you felt the springs in your back. Three televisions, living room was newer and the two bedroom ones older. Major screen burn in master bedroom and really not viewable. No DVR and only recieved basic cable on one TV, other TV's were unwatchable. The owner (Jane Wainscott) lied and said she was ordering upgraded cable for us and to look out for delivery of cable boxes. One week passed, no boxes. I called to get the tracking number and per Jane "there was a glitch in Frontiers ordering system (cable company) and the order never got placed." (Nice follow up Jane). Don't believe it was ever ordered. One night the ancient washing machine leaked a large amount of water into dining room and second bedroom, my 81 year old mother in law slipped and fell. Luckily she didn't injure herself. Water was also coming up from bathroom tub drain. We called the after hours emergency number and said they couldn't get a plumber out until next morning. My wife called back and bitched. A plumber came out at 2am. Plumber said there was no problem. The water from washer still comes up in bathroom tub. Julie charged full price for this unrenovated unit, didn't disclose any of the issues and ignored my requests for some type of refund. I fault Siesta4rent mostly. They are the management company and knew how this unit compared to others we had rented. They have lost our trust and business.. We have already booked our November 2021 stay at Crystal Sands with Crystal Sands management company. read more

We just returned home from a 3 week stay at a Siesta 4 Rent property at Our House on the Beach C119. I am giving this review 3 stars because Siesta 4 Rent was very responsive to the issues we had with the property, but in my opinion, this condo should NEVER HAVE BEEN RENTED in the state we found it. The unit had a stale, musty smell. The carpets were filthy; there were black paths on the carpets in traffic areas. The screen door to the deck had a fist sized hole in it, and some of the blankets and linens had a damp, tacky feel to them. The tile floors looked like they hadn't had a good cleaning in a long time. We reported all this to Siesta4Rent and that very day, someone came and took all the bedding & linens away to wash them, a man arrived with a new screen door, and a carpet cleaning service came and cleaned all the carpets. A maid came by to clean again. I've never seen such a quick response from an agent. As for the unit itself, it is OLD and OUTDATED. The thermostat is the same kind I had in my house in 1985 and it was impossible to adjust the AC properly. It was either hot or freezing. A digital unit costs $40 - buy one. The leather furniture in the living room was very old and the springs on it were gone. The wall units were formica from the 70's (and not anchored to the wall). the TVs were tiny, maybe 27". The kitchen appliances were 15-25 years old and the formica cabinets were old and looked dirty. The dryer was rusting on the outside. The headboards to the twin beds in the guest room were simply leaning against the wall and not attached to the bed frames. In the bathrooms, the calking around the tubs was cracked. There was great water pressure, but that resulted in a flood on the floor despite all our efforts; we were washing wet towels every other day. Plus, the tub/toilet "cubicle" is in the closet, a very odd design. I went out and spent about $30 on cleaning supplies and Febreeze. We washed all the sliding glass doors because you couldn't see through them. I had to scrub all the deck chairs before we could sit on them. I tried to vacuum one day but the vacuum cleaner would not even pick up sand off the tile floor. This would be a great rental if it were updated. It has a good layout, plenty of room, new furniture in the master, a garage, a nice pool area with a covered pavilion with a grill. And it was a 5 minute walk to the beach. The pictures on the website looked nice, but this place was advertised as a "luxury condo", and it was...... in 1985. It needs a huge overhaul. read more

I just returned from a vacation where we used Siesta 4 Rent. The home we rented was gorgeous and actually the pictures on the Siesta 4 Rent site don't do it justice. The home was very clean (I'm a weirdo about bathrooms and they were all immaculate). The sheets and towels were all in place and clean as well. We had no issues with the rental / keys / policies. We purchased a home in Siesta Key and honored the contract for them to contWhat a mistake that we was!!! They charges us 20% which would have been fine if they did something besides list our home and collect money from us and the renters. In the 5 months we used them they lost our keys, sheets(which were new), tried over charging us for plumbing work they had done twice and extra cleaning services that's weren't done. They allowed renters in the unit with two 50 to 70 pound dogs and then told me I was unreasonable to charge them extra for a deep cleaning because the renter had to ruin her vacation to take the animals somewhere else. We thought that they would manage our property and look out for us clearly that's not the case. So if you're looking for a reputable company to manage your property keep looking this is not the one. read more

Rented a unit with Siesta 4 Rent over at the breakers. Room was not very clean. Dishes not washed, bedded was stained. Lights were not all working and one toilet slow to flush. We have rented the Calle Miramar for the past 6 years for Thanksgiving, 4 years from the original private owner (which was absolutely wonderful) and then the last 2 years from Siesta 4 rent and we are so sad but we will not be back!!!! The location is awesome and the size of the condo was perfect for us but the new rental company (Siesta 4 rent) is awful! Our last visit - As soon as we walked in to the unit 3 of the smoke alarms were beeping so we spent about an hour trying to figure them out. It made us wonder when the last time anyone had been in the unit.... Then the next day we went to use the grill and it was a mess and when we told them about it their response was we don't clean grills so we will just come by and throw it out. WOW! Really! Then when we asked about where the recycle bins were they said they got rid of them because people put garbage in them. So lazy is all I kept thinking! They charge enough for cleaning, use the money to hire a cleaning crew! The closets only had a few towels (way less than we had in the past). The drawers in the bathroom and bedrooms were so dirty I had to wipe them out before we could put our clothes in them. Oh and then the pool and patios they were a mess (dirt, dead bugs, spider webs, gross pool water) and again we were told that they don't mess with that. Finally, I had to bleach my kids socks when we got home because the floors and carpets were sooooo dirty! I am not OCD! I don't expect to go on vacation and change smoke alarm batteries and clean the place before we can settle in and have fun! All our complaints were met with we don't bother with that, too much work, what ever! The last straw was when we were told to go rent a more expensive condo by the repair guy if we wanted things to be clean. WOW! I don't understand why they would take on property that they didn't want to care for. I miss the previous owners in a major way. Our Thanksgiving tradition is done! So sad! read more

Rented a property on Siesta Key from Siesta4Rent for the first and last time this past March. Paid nearly 3 grand for one week at the Palm Bay Club, because it was one of the only beachfront properties left when I booked - I should have known better! We checked in after hours, so picked up the keys at the office and went to the resort - the third floor unit was FILTHY and things were broken!! From opening the screen door - that was cracked and dirty to the dust I could draw in that was on the furniture; to the carpets that were dirty, to the sliding window with streaks of something running down it; to the master bedroom window, totally filthy with black dirt, to Worst of all, there were dishes and silverware in the drawers that still had food on them- YUK! A lamp in the second bedroom was broken and there was blue tape on the wall by the switch that warned not to turn it off. Other light bulbs had burned out in the hall and living room, but there were no replacements. It also had a view of the dirty old rooftops of the property next door - which I do not recall seeing in the ad - and a bunch of rickety old and dirty chairs and beach toys were on the porch (was not a lanai as described in the ad). Unfortunately, we arrived late on Saturday, so we couldn't even do anything until the Siesat4Rent office opened on Monday - we called and went there straight away with the pictures of what we had seen. They said they would have people there to clean the carpet, replace the lights and fix the lamp and clean again - which they did within a few hours - but of course, we had to be there for all that and so we really lost 3 days of vacation becuase of the mess - they were not very symapthetic at the office - in fact, a woman there snidely asked us if we wanted to check out if we were so unhappy - as if we would have anywhere else to stay at the height of the break season!? There explanation was that they only did a "deep clean" of rental units once a year - after the high season - so, apparently we got the "end of year" treatment! They gave us a 10% discount on the rate - hardly compensation for what we had to deal with for what amounted to nearly half our vacation - and it was to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday - one I am sure she will not forget thanks to the wreck we were handed by Siesta4Rent! read more

Do not use this company. I rented and had a contract from flipkey for a specific condo. Siesta 4 Rent were the property managers where I was to get keys. They gave me another condo and rented out to someone else the one I was to get. They were very sneaky and tried to get me to sign a contract a few days before arrival which I did not. After we arrived at condo and realized we were given wrong condo, we went back and were treated VERY badly by Tracy. They told me "it's an upgrade, you're the first people to be so ungrateful". The condo I was supposed to get was newly renovated with all travertine and upgraded baths/kitchen...clean. The condo we got was up 2 floors (which I did not want) and a filthy dump with carpet. We went to condo that was to be ours to find out they rented it in Sept 2018....I rented it April 2018. I was extremely upset because my family were in other condos on 2 floor that I had booked for my granddaughters to go to rooms without me worrying. They could careless and looked at me and said " oh well....". They operated in a very unprofessional and sneaky way. This is not a hotel we're they can give u any room.....you sign a contract for what u want. Do not use these unethical people....Tracy is a snake in the grass. read more

Beware, some properties moldy with poor air quality. I rented three different units from Siesta4rent in Bay Oaks previously with out trouble. This time the unit I rented (E22 Bay Oaks) smelled terrible and had an obvious mold problem. I stayed a few days before it began to make me sick and became intolerable. ( I gave it a chance, thought maybe just stale air? But it was mold, found leakage near plumbing and mold in wall). They were nice, and tried to find an alternative from their holdings. They offered another unit which was priced the same, Bay Oaks D12, which was cute, but had huge water stains on the ceiling and a worse smell and mold problem than E22. They further tried to accommodate me by offering another unit, but for $600 more. I just did not have that much budgeted. They charged me for the nights I stayed and cleaning, and refunded the balance from the month. The hold on my card lasted after check out and tied up my funds, which was tough on my travel budget. It was a time consuming and expensive hassle to find alternative accommodations. They did not offer to absorb the cost by paying the cleaning or comping me for the time I spent in the moldy E22, and I had to wait to get my two thousand dollars back, which put a strain on my travel budget and ability to arrange another rental. Siesta4rent released me from the contract, but it was a hassle and expense to find alternative accommodations on very short notice. Would be nice if they maintained higher standards for their inventory, my prior experience of three different units was good, the two I tried this time were uninhabitable. read more

We chose Siesta 4 Rent because they were the agent of the rental where we like to stay. We are thrilled they are now longer managing "our place". They close at 4:00 Saturday afternoon and don't reopen again until Monday morning when, because they are busy, a voice message must be left. Two of the four years our unit was NOT clean. The towels were damp, the bed linen dirty. Refrigerator and oven not cleaned well. Since cleanliness is not considered an emergency we had to wait until Monday afternoon for the cleaning crew come. When we expressed our frustration we were told that, since all rentals are Saturday to Saturday, they have a shortage of people to clean. We were told they are closed Saturday afternoon until Monday because it is a family business and they have no other available family members. read more
