I had an enjoyable extended stay here. Comparable experience as other hotels in the area I frequent, such as the Art Ovation or Westin. This is 1/3 of the cost so I'd say it's a good value. Also feels like a family owned type of deal which was nice to see. I didn't spend a lot of time in the common areas, so cannot comment much on the state of the pool or tiki bar other than that they looked well kept. On fri/sat nights there was a solid crowd using both. I was able to find some secluded areas with hammocks and fire pits, which I appreciated. My room had a spacious and fenced back yard with multiple tables and an umbrella. There is smoking allowed in the yards and a few times I could smell my neighbors cigarettes while outside. Not a huge deal. Stove, kitchen sink, microwave, mini fridge, and tv in my unit as well. Lots of utensils and plates in the cabinets. Only takeaways I could note that keep my review from being a perfect 5 stars - the parking situation is rough. The front lot was always full due to how small it is. The back lot is unpaved and shared with the public tiki bar. Tight lanes and cramped spaces that are flooded with drunk people leaving at night since they aren't staying at the hotel. I didn't feel my car was very safe from scratches/bumps on weekend nights. Also the unpaved lot kicked up lots of dust onto my luggage and shoes, which ended up all over the inside of my car. It's gravelly mud as well so it's stuck to my seats and floor mats. Probably was worse than usual since i was loading my luggage after a night of rain. That being said, the parking was free. So take this relatively menial issue as you will. read more

Very nice hotel just on the other side of the bridge to Siesta Key. We stayed in a second story suite that had a queen bed, kitchen area and fold out couch. The grounds were very nice as well as the pool. They also have an adult only hang out area, although that did get a little loud at night. Friendly and accommodating staff. Definitely recommend. They have two parking lots on property as well. read more

Besides the rooms being shaby. Our main gripe is my wife left her id and the credit card by the pool area, because we ran because we were swarmed by mosquitoes. So she called the office once we got home and asked for them to expedite the parcel and she would pay for it upfront. Management refused to help their reason was liability. So they kept the docs. read more

First I used the restroom room before checking in and the door was rusted with a hole in the bottom. Then as we are being shown our room there was a snake the manager pointed out. Then said there is again. I have a horrible phobia of snakes. I cannot stay there. I explained this. They only gave us two days back. This is a mental health issue. The manager explained he is part of the family that owns this and said he could not do anything else. A small family business could. So we lost out on 3 nights. Be careful. Workers were very nice. The place was clean. The backyard area was super cute. The community hangout spots were a vibe. They have areas for adults 21+. I have literally no negatives about Siesta Key Palms Resort. I booked my family's stay about a month ago, and received 3 emails from management starting 2 weeks out from my stay. The emails went over key points, gave website and photo gallery information, and more. The website itself had so much information about the location. The boutique resort is about 0.8 miles from siesta key beach. We had friends staying at Siesta Royal Apartments, so we had free parking, and I cannot attest to the public access beach nearby. Siesta Key Palms Resort was so cute! It was a little difficult to find the office when we first arrived, but that's only because we parked in the back lot. Once I checked in at the office, the gentleman was very nice, helpful, and knowledgable of the area. He recommended beach access and restaurants on a large map, went over the amenities, showed me to my family's room with a quick tour on the way, and was very friendly overall. We stayed in room number 3, a studio room. We walked in and had a workspace desk for 2 chairs, that opened for more table space. There was a queen size bed, a pullout full size sofa, mini fridge, microwave, stove/oven, sink, dishes, a coffee table, and a nice sized flat screen tv. There was a 3/4 bathroom with a large shower and medicine cabinet. They even had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner attached to the shower wall, in dispensers! We had a private patio area out the back door, with a wooden 6' privacy fence, little water fountain, 4 chair/table/umbrella patio set, and a bar bistro table set for 2. The decor was beautiful! Now, that's all INSIDE our room. The actual resort itself is amazing. There's lush vegetation everywhere, colorful hammocks and chairs outside, TWO heated pools (one 21+ and one for families), pool play toys/floaties, sandy "beach" areas, gazebos, hanging pool furniture, grilling area, laundry, ice, screened in game room, and more! They also had bikes to rent for FREE (not for children, though). In summary, I highly recommend this boutique hotel. So cute, great communication from management, friendly and helpful office staff, groundskeepers, and housekeeping. We will most definitely be returning here next time! read more

This quaint resort was a surprise from the moment we drove in. The area is near many restaurants and shopping areas, but the resort once you drive in, it's like you are on your own little island. The grounds are immaculate, and the decorations are perfectly chosen, placed, and selected to make you feel like you are on an actual island. I was pleasantly surprised by how big and small the resort was. At every turn you had a cozy island theme section, tiki area, 21 and over area ( appropriate), and plenty of places you can sit and relax, swing, swim, or play pooch. The room was beautiful and well laid out, very clean, and I absolutely love my own private patio with 100% privacy. They had beach chairs for your use, the beach was within walking distance and they also had free bikes to use. I really did love and enjoy this place. I kept thinking my boys would enjoy coming here. The Siesta Key Palms Resort is a beautiful property. There are two pools (one adult only, one family) and several well manicured common areas on the resort grounds. My favorite area on the property had a nice fountain and several oversized, shaded swings to lounge on. (Side note: I was told by another guest that the family pool is a salt water pool, can't confirm for sure if that is true. I will say that the water in the family pool was super warm, though.) The resort itself is a great value - very affordable considering the area and amenities. The resort is located far enough away from the downtown village and public beach that you miss most of the traffic congestion from those areas, but I'd suggest to other out of town guests that a rental car (or dependence on Uber/public transit) is necessary as it's not walking distance to much. The room interiors are nice and about comparable to other resorts. I have one gripe (from two stays over the past few years) but it's a fairly big one that has me rethinking future stays: it was really, really loud in my room from noises outside. Rooms close to the main road get a lot of noise from outside traffic, although the resort did provide a white noise machine as a means of drowning that out (and it did help, I just didn't discover it right away!). Maintenance staff also started landscaping right outside of my room somewhat early each morning (9am ish) during my most recent stay and I was really, really, really bummed to have been woken up by weedwacker noise on my hard-earned vacation from work when all I wanted to do was sleep in. It would've been fine had it just happened once but it occurred each morning throughout my entire stay. I would urge the resort staff to rethink their landscaping timelines - I would've appreciated for that level of noise to have occurred in the early afternoon instead. It's a huge disappointment to not be able to sleep well due to noise when you are paying for a relaxing place to stay. read more

If only I could give this place zero stars! The rooms and areas were filthy and very dated and requires a lot of money to be spent to bring it up to modern living standards. The resort needs to employ cleaners! Due to Covid and our stay being 15th September 2022, we had a white plastic basket outside our room with a note to stay that our room will not be cleaned.... Please look at the photo's below showing evidence of the dirt and what looks like excrement on the bed settee. We booked two rooms and for 4 nights at Siesta Key and because we were on a road trip and had arrived late , we did stay the one night. Siesta Key mentions on google reviews that we were offered alternative rooms for our stay. We were not offered alternative room/rooms, so i am unsure why they had to lie about this. We left the following morning at 10am and the front desk was locked and no one to be seen. Both of the rooms were unsatisfactory and filthy. The rooms were booked via Booking.com and our check in was on the 15th September but Siesta Key had already processed the transaction on the 12th September, I am unsure why they take money before the actual check in date? Because of the complaint and how dirty the rooms were, Siesta Key in all fairness gave me a refund for the one nights stay on the 19th September. Because I had written a negative review a week later, the resort then decide to charge my credit card a week after I had returned from my holiday on the 26th September!! Today, the Siesta Key has commented that if I take the negative review down then they will refund me! It has been a headache for me to get this resolved with Booking.com. Emails and calls but hopefully it will get sorted very soon. The way in which Siesta Key Palm resort has handled this is totally unprofessional. Refund - negative review - charge credit card....... Had a great time at siesta key palms hotel. It's very adult and/ or kid friendly. We had a nice room with a kitchenette, table and back yard. The back yard was about 350 sf... and it was a positively cozy secluded corner. The entire place was like a small oasis in the city. Each room had a noise diffuser. Just loved this little gem of a hotel. It was quiet, clean and the staff was friendly. It's less than a mile to the beautiful white sands of siesta beach, very walkable and so much close by. The grounds were so well cared for with a 21 and up pool and then one that is very family friendly, with Caribbean music playing, plenty of places to lounge, including shaded hammocks and cool sand. This little resort is a hidden gem. I was a bit skeptical when booking because it's wasn't a big name hotel but I am so happy to took the chance. This hotel was the perfect place to stay for my getaway weekend trip. The room I booked was spacious and clean. They offered many amenities including pools (one being an adult only pool), a fire pit, bbq area, and lots of outdoor seating. Our room also had an outdoor patio area with a hammock. It was a bit small but still a great option during covid times. For the most part the hotel seemed to be taking covid precautions apart from the receptionist of who checked us in. She was not wearing a mask. The staff was very friendly and welcoming! The hotel is a five minute drive the beach depending on the beach access that you choose to use. Lots of great restaurants near by and plenty of places to get groceries if you want to stay in. Not going to lie, I was pretty bummed to leave. read more

This is a cute, quaint old Florida style motel. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and adorable and CLEAN. Family pool and an adult pool if desired. Plenty of hammocks to relax on. The rooms are nice they have a back patio area attached for chatting or coffee. The room is older but nice and clean. I read reviews that it's noisy, yes, you can hear the traffic on the main road but it didn't bother us one bit. Keurig in room with pods for coffee. Fridge, microwave, and stove if you want to bring in breakfast items or drinks, nice feature. A short walk to the Boathouse for dinner, food was good. I will say walking to the beach was stop far for us. It was a short car tide away and there is plenty of parking at Siesta Key Beach. Overall, a nice,cute place and we would stay again. read more

Didn't know what to expect but this place well exceeded our needs. We have 4 kids and was given a 1 bed, 1 pull out couch room. The place looks newly renovated and very tropical. Great landscaping, many hammocks around the property, friendly staff, beautiful pool and everything was less than 5 minutes away. First visit to Siesta Key, unaware of the lack of last minute lodging options, grabbed this spot at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised. It's right across the bridge from the island but just a short walk or bike ride using the free bikes at the hotel. Large clean room and the owner was quite hospitable and friendly. Can't leave out the BEST staff anywhere--thank you Priscilla, Brent, Mita, Tiffany and Bob for making us feel so welcome! We were greeted by Priscilla at 9pm on arrival after a long travel day of delays. Her welcome smile started us off on a great week. Back problems for my roommate made finding the right mattress a bit of a challenge but EVERYONE pitched in on that effort and they did so willingly.Also, don't be afraid of the sofa bed--it is awesome unlike most! What a hidden gem! Last minute beach trip we decided to take and found this on our SW Airlines account. So glad we did. The staff, Colby and Simone were extremely welcoming and helpful even provided restaurant recommendations that we loved. The pictures confirm how charming the place is. Very Clean! My only suggestion would be to either put the cushions away at night or wipe off the chairs in the evening/morning as they are damp/soaked cushions if it rains. Spent the weekend here with my fiancé and we absolutely loved the place! The hotel gives off a very tropical vibe that truly makes you feel like you're in the islands. Even with the soft beach sand everywhere, the staff manages to keep the place extremely clean and neat. We were very excited about this family getaway. We had three individual families spending a long weekend here. Upon arrival, our room was filthy. There was sand and dead bugs on top of our white bed set. There was also mildew and hair all over the shower and bathroom. Our family staying two doors down did not have AC in their room and also had complaints about the room being dirty. We also had a window on the back door that did not have a shade, and at around 3am the hallway lights and back patio light (which did not have an off switch in the room and was automatic) kicked on and woke me and my fiancé up. I had to get out of bed and use a blanket to cover the window. When my brother in law went to the office the next morning they moved him to a different room which was clean (surprisingly). When I went to speak with the office, the front desk lady (who advised she was the general manager) said she would comp our first night due to the conditions of the room - however she said she wouldn't be able to do it until Monday and it would have to be done over the phone- conveniently after we had left Siesta Key and returned home several hours away. My fiancé went online and saw that multiple rooms were available so I asked the manager if we could just move rooms and she told me that there were no rooms available. When I pointed out that there were rooms available online she told me "There are always rooms available online but we don't have them." I asked what they did when someone showed up from out of town or out of state expecting a room that they already paid for and she said "they have to take it up with booking.com for a refund." So they allow people to book with no vacancy and then force them to get the run around from the websites they booked through. On top of that, the manager was insisting that we just cancel our weekend reservation and leave - but because we booked online she couldn't even do a refund and I'd have to "take it up with booking.com - which is why I'm not holding my breath for the partial refund I'm supposed to get on Monday. The manager then came to our door and asked if we'd like to cancel the rest of our stay - at which time my fiancé told her she'd been working in hospitality management for 10+ years and the condition the rooms were in was unacceptable. The manager cut her off and said "this is a five star hotel." My fiancé asked why we couldn't get a partial refund before we left town (It didn't make sense) and the manager got angry and told us "you know what I'm not refunding anything, you can take it up with booking.com. Cut to the next day, we spent the day at the pool with our family and friends, the water was cloudy and murky and not maintained. My six year old daughter woke up the next morning with ear infections in both ears from the dirty water. See picture attached. Conveniently the next day the pool was closed. I will not ever stay at this hotel again, and I recommend anyone considering staying at Siesta Key find some place else to spend your money. read more

This is a great place to stay except for one thing - the noise from the room next door. My room had a door to the room next to me which was shut on both sides, but I could hear everything going on through it. In contrast with the room on the other side of my room, which was not connected by a locked door. Apparently this feature is for families who want to share two rooms - but it really ruins the experience. I was woken up several times by people talking with their phone on speakerphone early in the morning - able to make out almost every word of the conversation. The noise from someone clanging their dishes and preparing some amazing feast (apparently) was so loud that I could not make business calls in the afternoon. Hearing other people cough and hack through the door, even the microwave beeping. What a nightmare. It ruins what would otherwise be a fantastic place. I doubt the convenience of a family staying together in two rooms being able to save 5 seconds instead of going through the front doors of the rooms, is worth the inconvenience to everyone else of having virtually no noise barrier between one of the rooms next to them. These inner doors between rooms need to be removed and filled in, preferably with some type of sound blocking material. I will definitely not return unless that happens. Bring earplugs - not for the highway noise as reviewers on other sites have mentioned; but for the noise you can hear from one of your neighbors rooms. Thankfully this isn't a problem with the other room next to you without the inner door, so you're not getting bombarded from two sides. It does motivate you to get out of the room as much as possible though. read more
