I explained that using the kiosk was difficult while holding onto my toddler and that I was willing to wait. Rather than clearly explaining that she could not take my order or giving me an estimated wait, she told me to wait and then continued doing other tasks behind the register. After waiting, it became clear she was not planning to help me order. I eventually had to use the kiosk while managing my toddler, with a line forming behind me. I had wanted to order in person because the menu was confusing in the moment, especially the difference between a matcha latte with matcha snow top and the matcha soft serve version. Because I could not get help, I ended up ordering the wrong item. When I later explained that clearer communication would have helped, there was no apology or acknowledgment. The interaction felt dismissive and not very family-friendly. I understand busy cafes use kiosks, but basic courtesy and clear communication still matter, especially for parents with young children. I like the concept of Maruwu Seicha, but this visit left me feeling unwelcome. I hope this location improves its customer-service training, especially for managers or shift leads.
