This is one of the biggest and busiest Paris Baguette I've been to. It has many selections of pastries later in the day or even in the evening after dinner. Most of the Paris Baguette starts to run out of pastries to choose from in the afternoon. This one is well-stocked. We'd like to come get desserts after dinner and never get disappointed. They have the best cakes for birthday or any special occasions. Inside is spacious and clean in general. They also have an outdoor seating area. Sometimes the outdoors tables are a little dirty. Overall I think Paris Baguette is a fine chain in the Bay Area. I appreciate the variety of French pastries, cakes, Asian baked goods, and seasonal items. However, this Cupertino store is a disappointment. It may be that they are always busy that they aren't watching the pastry shelves/bins or caring for the consistency of the pastry items, but I saw flies inside the covered bins at my most recent visit. And I've been watching the mochi donuts get smaller and smaller by the way of the "hole" getting larger. See photos. Meanwhile, the price is also significantly higher than any other bakery I know that sells mochi donuts (e.g., each donut usually runs $3-3.50, but here it was $4.49). I needed to buy desserts to bring to a dinner, but after seeing flies trapped inside the pastry bins, I lost my appetite for buying anything here. It is so unfortunate because I think this Paris Baguette store has a prime downtown location and so much potential. The pastries were beautiful and very good and. the display case was also impressive. Coffee was good for 2/3 of us. The staff could use some feedback in the customer service department. I love this place! The buttery cream breads slap hard. Walked in and immediately knew what I wanted abd loved that everything was right there in front of tou. The layout was great. You walk in and immediately to your left is the food options with the trays and the prongs to pick them and at the end of the aisles are the cakes and cold foods next to the cashier. On your right from the entrance are tables abd such to sit and eat. My eyes were bigger than my stomach at this point and I ended up grabbing ao many treats and 2 slices of cakes. I've been to this Paris Baguette many times, usually for drinks & other times for the pastries. If you've been to other locations, then this one is pretty similar. I have some friends who enjoy the espresso & other drinks (using Lavazza coffee beans), but I've only ever found them "good" at best. My highlights include the cookie butter and chocolate hazelnut drinks, while the hot chocolate and Korean iced milk coffee were let-downs. In downtown Mountain View, there are better places for coffee, but Paris Baguette is fine if you have promos and/or want to pick up the baked goods. Speaking of them, there are a variety of sweet & savory items to choose, so you'll probably find something you like. My favorites include the croissant donuts and cream breads, but I like to sample new things too. Regarding ambiance, this location is pretty good, with ample seating & free Wi-Fi if you'd like to do some work. And then as for service, it's also usually good but can vary depending on who's at the counter. But I haven't had any bad experiences. read more

Some are decent, but many are overpriced and a bit dry. The complete lack of customer service ruined any potential enjoyment of the food. I am normally satisfied with whatever items I purchase at PB. Today, I picked up a Mango Lemonade Refresher and Pistachio Supreme Croissant. The former was both sweet and tart, being a nice way to start the morning. However, the latter has to be the worst spiral croissant I have ever had. About the only thing good about it was the few pistachio nuts on top. The shell was soggy, the green glaze was artificial tasting, and the barely there filling was tasteless at best. Since writing my last review, I have spoken with a manager(?) and an employee to provide constructive feedback. The manager was professional and sounded somewhat apologetic. However, she still seemed to take the "side of the EMployees" in the kitchen (whom I have never seen in my life) and/or COVEr for them, who were continuing to make unsolicited and rude comments about a customer (I don't necessarily assume that they are comments directed at me, for the sake of my mental health. Although I think, they are often intentionally & vaguely targeted at me-- what really confirms such harassment is how they look at me funny, as they engage in such behaviors). When I named and confronted the specific behavior, she just denied them. Her response to my constructive feedback was mediocre at best... Actually, it is even more psychologically damaging to the harassed, to ultimately be gaslit after bringing harassment to the surface. Unfortunately, that is what she chose... Perhaps they care more about how things appear on the surface, generating all sorts of traffic through their stores (doesn't matter what quality of traffic, since it generates money for their CHAins... a very clear hello!), and/or revel in the DRaMA (while I am only re-traumatized-- hello.) rather than actually taking accountability and apologizing. I decided to edit my review and give them 3 stars, because the listening & "holding space" presence of a cashier (maybe a new hire) whom I also provided such feedback to-- was noticeably better at understanding my experience. He stood there, looked at me in the face in a non-creepy way (very healing), and just listened. Listening to a customer complain about such a distressing experience for several minutes is probably not one of his usual job responsibilities. It's a lovely Paris Baguette cafe & bakery on Castro Street in downtown Mountain View. Not huge, but decent size location with tables and chairs inside. I've been visiting for many years since their opening. Staffs are always experienced and welcoming. Holiday vibes are colorful, warm & cozy inside. My medium sized hot peppermint mocha was very fulfilling. I love holiday sweets and holiday app deals. Don't forget to download and use the app for ongoing special offers and discounts. As usual, I really do enjoy their soufflé cheesecake, especially because gingerbread man looks too cute on it. Add a snowman pastry to it and you've got all your Paris Baguette holiday tastebud fixes for the day. This place never disappoints, but because of the narrow aisle by the pastries/breads/goodies, the crowds and lines do get tight here during peak hours. The pistachio croissant crème filling was too sweet for my taste compared to the pistachio croissant I ate at Angelina's NYC which had a natural green and deeper flavor. First time trying Paris Baguette. I love the vibes on the inside! This is the perfect place to bring a laptop and get some work or studying done. The pastries are in a tall display case, and you walk down the line placing the ones you want on a tray. It's easy to feel like the person behind you is rushing you, but rest assured everyone was marveling at the options trying to decide. The service was very fast due to the lunchroom line style of serving. I ended up getting the Almond Pastry, Croissant, Sugar Mochi Donut, and Chocolate Hazelnut Latte with Nutella. The Almond Pastry was my favorite. It was nice and flaky and perfectly sweet with a delicious almond creme in the middle. The almond flakes on top added a nice texture to it, and were perfectly toasted. The Sugar Mochi Donut was nice and light in flavor and not too sweet which I enjoyed. The Mochi was soft and bouncy and had a great chew. The Croissant was my least favorite pastry, it was over baked and tasted a bit like burnt cheese. The Chocolate Hazelnut Latte with Nutella was also not my favorite, I didn't really taste any hazelnut and I didn't taste any Nutella at all, it just tasted like a latte with sugar. I ended up going back and getting my go to Chai Latte. It wasn't my favorite either. The Chai flavor was very light and tasted a bit watered down but with milk. Overall, I'm glad I tried this place. I had a café mocha , a raspberry almond croissant, and and a four cheese quiche. I was quite surprised about the café mocha . It was a good size and it was just sweet enough.. I have been to this location, at least six times in the last year. Everything is fresh. The customer service is efficient and the restaurant itself is clean with a solid table for two at most times of the day. It's directly near two amazing bookstores so picking up a pastry and your favorite book or magazine is right there. It gives this specific location a lot of whimsy that other locations do not have. We enjoy coming here when we're in the mood for pastries or need a nice looking cake for a special occasion. The food and drinks are always good. The service/friendliness varies depending on who you get - sometimes fairly friendly, sometimes a little brusque, but never really rude. I would say friendliness and customer service must not be emphasized during training, but it doesn't prevent us from coming here. But honestly, a little more friendliness would go a long way in making this place feel welcoming and like they value your business value it just feeling like a very transactional interaction. The decor and facilities are fine, but today a lot of the tables were pretty dirty (lots of crumbs everywhere), so some attention to keeping the tables more tidy for the guests would be great. read more
