Let me start by saying that I got a standard matcha latte from here over a month ago, and I still think about how bad it was to this day. I went well over a year and a half ago and remember this place being yummy! The line was justified, as the matcha drinks were strong and rich. A must whenever I am in the area! The layout of the space just makes it look crowded and full all the time. The line gets backed up because they have two kiosks you can order from. The set-up is super weird, you walk all the way in to order, and you could either order via the kiosk or talk to a real person. But then you walk to the door to wait for your order. I come here many times because I love the matcha soft serve. However the last couple visit have gotten progressively worse!!! It took more than once to get this right and then you're gonna make me go pay for a bag separately when my hands are full with two drinks and an ice cream cone on top of it. It was the way she handled it all. She was rude!!!! On top of it, then another lady actually proceeded to complain about her because she was rude to her as well, and she laughed at us, like it was okay for her to be rude or whatever we're saying was a joke. Worst customer service I've ever had in there and I felt this is something that should be mentioned. on top of it lastly she left a nice big hole in the middle of my cone so I barely got any ice cream. There was a long line, which was expected the since they're all over social media. However, after trying the drinks, it certainly didn't seem it worth the wait. My friend and I both got the matcha/ube lattes, I opted for the hot version and she opted for the iced version. Both of our drinks were okay, we have tried more flavorful matcha drinks at other locations, and maybe we should have mixed the drinks more but we wanted to try each of the flavor separately. This is their second location in the Bay Area. This one is located right in DT Palo Alto on the corner. I would suggest ordering online ahead of time for pickup wine the lines could take long. My biggest complaint here is their inability for customization. ICE level being a huge one ! Drinks are 70% ice and light ice isn't even an option to select. Matcha flavor is strong by I prefer and extra shot. However they charge you an extra $2/3 more which I think is so not worth it. They have a small selection of matcha flavors since they also offer gelato and cheese tarts in addition.
