I contacted Protech Recoating after a DIY bathtub recoating kit I had applied a few years back…read morestarted cracking. From the very first phone call, Omar was thorough, professional, and helpful. he walked me through everything and set up a time slot without any hassle. What genuinely impressed me was the communication. I got a confirmation call the night before my appointment, and then a call the morning of letting me know exactly when the team would arrive. I honestly can't remember the last time a service company did that. It felt respectful of my time, and that meant a lot. Mathews and the crew was super quick, clean, and left absolutely no trace behind. They warned me ahead of time about the chemical odor from the coating, but thanks to proper ventilation, it was barely noticeable. The whole experience was seamless. And the tub? It looks phenomenal. I was already impressed by the quality of their work, but their level of professionalism and customer service is what really set them apart. I would hire Protech Recoating again without hesitation.

I am disappointed with the recoating of my bathroom sink. There was a large crack in the sink that…read moreneeded repair. It was originally coated on May 15th and the crack was still quite noticeable. The patching compound was applied and it was immediately painted over. It looked good when initially done but then the paint just seeped into the compound and crack leaving it visible. There were also dimples in several places and the back of the sink was not really smooth, as well as the fact that the paint seeped onto the drain. I called and advised ProTech of the situation and all Omar (I believe that's the owner's name) kept telling me was that "it was not going to be perfect." I get that. I tried to tell him that I believed the reason the crack was still visible was the fact that the patching compound they used was not allowed to cure for 24 hours. He really didn't want to listen to what I had to say, but he did agree to have Matt come back the following Monday, May 19th, to touch things up. Again, the patching compound was applied but not left to cure for 24 hours. The sink was not touched or used since the repair on May 19th, so it was good and cured. When my sister came over on May 28th and went to look at how the sink turned out, she gently touched where the crack was and the it just cracked again! There are still some dimples and roughness which I understand, however, all-in-all, I am very disappointed in the outcome. The crack will just get worse again with use and I now have to get an entire new sink! I had high hopes, but this was a waste of $230! I doubt anything can be done to fix it at this point aside from some type of refund. I would not recommend this.

We paid about $540 for stripping and refinishing our tub and expected that due to paying a premium…read morewe would be getting better service. Overall we have been disappointed. We scheduled the refinish for May 17th and were told to wait for a confirmation call the day before. When no call came, we had to call and leave three messages as well as a message on the Facebook page before we received a response at 7PM the night before. When the workman arrived, he asked what color we wanted and asked if we wanted American Standard like our toilet (a bright white toilet). When I came back that evening the tub was painted an off-white vanilla wafer color. You think that when the workman started the painting and realized it was clearly a different color, he would have stopped, but no such luck. There were also two pieces of gravel painted into the tub floor which means it will either chip pretty soon or wear down faster than the rest of the need and need replacing sooner. I called and left a message that evening explaining the problem with the color (the gravel was discovered later in the evening after my call) Next day I received a call back and the first comment I heard was that we had requested American Standard color so that is what we had received. I am aware that an off-white vanilla wafer color is one of American Standards colors (in addition to bright white), but our entire bathroom (and toilet which I was told the color would match) is clearly bright white. His poor attitude and not admitting it was their mistake is what really put me off. I am surprised they did not offer to fix the areas with gravel under the paint as well. Instead they said to call if it becomes a problem and needs fixing. The workman was here on time, was polite, and tidied up after himself. However, everything else about this experience has been a bad experience.

A&M PROFESSIONAL REFINISHING arrived on time and did a great job preparing and protecting all areas to make sure there would be no problems after. FANTASTIC PROFESSIONALISM! Tub turn out perfect!
