I have been sending my projects here for the past few months. I wish there was consistency & transparency by the owner in regards to his pricing. One recent project a few weeks ago he priced me $100 which was a reasonable price for a 8x10, but now he recently as of today states $155. What is the incentive of coming here if the price at $155 is the exact same dollar figure as another Bay Area competitor. A $55 increase seams ridiculous and price gauging. Plus he doesn't include a hook to hang the picture & soft bumper pads on the back of the frame like other facilities do as an additional benefit. read more

This review is not based on quality of framing, but on customer service and communication. I left work early to bring in a print for framing before the framing shop closes. The hours posted on the website show 5:00 close. I arrive at 4:30 and the shop is closed. I tried calling several times, and there was no answer machine or automatic messaging available- the phone just rang and rang. There are also no hours or other information posted on the entrance to confirm the hours posted on the website are accurate. Are they even still in business? Daysan has done two custom pieces for me, both were rather challenging and he did a great job at a very fair price. The photos don't do them justice. One piece was printed on an extremely thin and delicate sheet of 24k gold and Daysan framed it with care. The other piece was a group of three crypto art bars where I wanted both the front and backs viewable. Daysan created a special frame with glass on both the front and back so the frame could be turned around for the back view. I bought a painting during my trip to Vietnam and had it rolled up for a few months until I found the right framer. I found Signature Custom Framing and worked with Daysan. I got quotes from several places for stretching and Signature was at least 30-50% lower than competitors. The savings was great but the value Daysan added was priceless and what really made an effortless experience. Days explained to me that my piece was cut poorly and didn't leave enough on the edge but he would still be able to accommodate it with a thinner frame to stretch. After stretching it he was kind enough send me photographs of frames he suggest and I gave him my feedback and ultimately we found a frame I was happy with.
