So happy we came here when we did! Their 40%-60% off sales were ending on Nov 2nd and we made it just in time! They have so many gorgeous items it's hard to determine what to get now and what to get later They had a great assortment of garlands and we FINALLY caught the sale for them! I miss it every year so we stocked up on some white & red ones for our peppermint vibes this year. They had tons of bushels of poinsettias and other beautiful (fake) arrangements that are priced just right. Their Halloween items are marked 60% off from Nov 1st to when they sell out. A lot of what they had left was a steal at 60% off! If you shop for your kids classes, they have a lot of small goodies that are priced well for prizes or gift bags. read more

Obviously this is an arts and crafts store, so if that's what you're after I think you'll find what you're looking for here. I can only comment on the stuff geared towards younger audiences - pipe cleaners, paint-your-own clay figures, sets of markers, and various other art supplies for kids. The place has a pretty extensive selection, if your little one has the patience or interest then you can get a lot of mileage from some of the kits. They take credit cards and there's tons of parking in the lot shared with Walgreens and various other stores. read more

Michael's is awesome! I've been there for most school related craft stuff and even got all the stuff for making a corsage recently. I love browsing the store and can't get enough of their baking and floral section. The employees are friendly too which is great for any retail store. read more

SO I went to Michael's and browse..... I am busy by choice and not by default. So I took the day off on the weekend. YES, weekend. I came while during the pandemic and they are open. I am currently looking for a more sturdy book cover to protect a book I helped publish via Alarm Press/Kickstarter. I came across a customer service rep and It seemed as though you can make a cover with materials which is why I came here, but I think Ill need to think outside of the box for this one. My mum is a regular at almost every Michaels store in Santa Clara county as with me and this store is no exception. I had no issues coming here when something at my local store is sold out. I usually find it here. This store seems to have a good collection of items that people are looking for. If you want a good low cost frame for an uneventful photo this is the place to go. I bought a photo frame here to show photos of me with my last two exe back when we are together. This store seems to be a more bigger favorite among educators because they had no issues finding the items they need. I also like how this Michael's has less customers than the one near me. The one near me is crowded Drawback: Checking out can be a slow process because at times there will be one cashier that is working. read more

This one is by far the most unorganized store with the most unprofessional staff with poor customer service. This review is for Chris in the Aaron Brothers custom framing section of Michaels. I've been coming to this store location for at least 30 years often dragged with my mother when I was young, to pick up art supplies when I was a teenager and in my twenties, and now periodically to get items framed. Last night I spent 2.5 hours with my wife and Chris to solve the best route for framing three items that hang together for my media room. One oversized signed print by Brian Froud, another a shadow box containing a hand drawing and crystal shard from the dark crystal, and the final a shadow box of the doubloon from the Goonies. I'm an 80s child what can I say. Anyway, there is a lot of thought that goes into these three projects. The media room has existing art and furniture that the artwork must compliment. Chris did a fantastic job 1.) understanding the type of art and coming up with creative solutions each step of the way (it requires some creativity to hang a crystal shard), 2.) explained to us the options available at each point and was efficient working their mock up & custom frame machine, 3.) kept being patient and engaged throughout all 2.5 hours. Honestly, that's fairly rare these days for chain stores but Chris was amazing. Yes custom frames are fairly expensive there, but they often have sales that will help with the cost, and if you work with someone like Chris you'll think they deserve every penny. read more

I've been going to this Michaels for over 15 years. The store is well stocked and has a variety of products for every crafters dream. It is a toy store for those with a multitude of hobbies from baking, jewelry making, knitting, scrapbooking, ready made craft kits for the kids, model car kits, photo frames, tie dying and more. Oh year if you have a bridal or baby shower or wedding there are is a section for you to for making party favors! The staff is always so helpful and ask if you need any help and the cashiers are pleasant. Line can be a little long occasionally during peak hours but it moves fast. read more

I came here because the other michaels didn't have enough inventory. Since they do not do price matching I tired to make an order online. The inventory did not accurately show the inventory in store. Supervisor Edith made a mistake by inputting the online inventory to 0 because she misunderstood that the two cans I was carrying was not ones I brought in. I waited for 1 hour for the inventory to update and it still wasn't finished. I ended up wasting an hour of my time and they were not able to help me. The michaels store that I was at before was able to override the price for me just once so I didn't have to drive back with my arm injury. I asked since they had a buy 3 get 2 free deal, if she could just apply it to this purchase since I already bought 2 from the previous store. She could've helped me she just didn't want to. You need to train your staff to be more flexible. It's no wonder these crafts stores are dying out to Amazon. Not only are they over priced but the customer service is awful. She didn't even care that it was her mistake that made me wait there for an extra hour. read more

the reason i'm leaving this review is due to a very unprofessional employee that works here. we asked her a question on where to find something in the store and standing behind us was a special needs person. he was making a little noise but he was not bothering anyone. she stopped talking during our conversation just to stare at him almost in disgust. it was very unprofessional and inappropriate. i work in customer service and i would never look or treat a client that way. will not be coming back to this location. read more

Once again, another incident I witnessed....I told the cashier Rose (who is always very nice) that a man ran out with a bag, Rose ran over to look outside. Then this rude lady named Veronica (who I found out was the manager) yelled at Rose I'm front of ke and other customers in line shouting "Take care of the customers first!" And literally THREW A BAG AGAINST THE WALL saying "here's the bag!" This is complete childish, disrespectful behavior. I told Rose that I was appalled and will be reporting this. I came on a Monday after the weekend rush. My gripe is the line is just as long as it is doing the weekend rush. I swore I stood in line for at least 30min till a lady behind went up there and yelled at the lady to call for more help even though there were 3 cashiers. I applaud Michaels in hiring senior citizens as cashiers but sometimes it does not hack it during the holiday rush. With Aaron Brothers gone no thanks to Michaels making that decision AND University Art gone I thought Michaels would have a perfect opportunity to step up their game. WRONG! I went to buy 2 paint brushes (because I'm an artist who has supply needs) and they don't have hardly any brushes stocked. Plenty of crappy (beginner) multipacks though. Michaels has plenty of craft kits for those who would like to try to be "artsy" but 2 aisles of actual canvas', pens, sketch pads and paint supplies. It's all crammed in 2 aisles. I came in on an extreme time crunch, flustered by earlier events that had nothing to do with this trip to Michael's. I was greeted by a younger worker who seemed happy to be working, but they didn't push my boundaries or immediately try to sporadically their help on me. They just let me in with a welcome smile. Sometimes a smile is all you need to know you can ask anyone for help. I can't emphasis how great such a simple smile can be. Thankfully I found the picture frame I needed in the back after only a second of search. In my haste I ran up to the counter to check out. I usually use my family's phone number, but didn't want to sit there and guess it. l, being still on a time crunch, was extremely grateful for how Margaux treated my situation. She read my exact state and didn't try the old "Well you can sign up for membership...". That was awesome. It was easy and I was out fast. I thanked Margaux for their help and headed out without missing a beat. I write this review to shine the light on the employees who helped me today. They definitely deserve a raise. This is a delayed review from about 2017 LOL, but worth going back for. I needed to purchase a poster board to fit a large frame, and Steven in the framing section was an Allstar. He really went above and beyond to help me pick a board, cut it out, and even help me fit it in the car which barely worked out LOL. My girlfriend and I really, really appreciated it, and I feel bad for taking so long to write about it. I hope he gets some recognition for amazing customer service if he is still around there, really couldn't have asked for better service. Which is why to this day it stands out. read more

Love that this Michael's doesn't feel dirty and unorganized as many others--I am always able to find what I need and then some. I especially like the clearance deals at the end of most aisles as I was able to score some seasonal candles for wayy cheaper than Yankee Candle or Pier1. Your home decor needs can actually be met here. Just like others have mentioned, customer service blows! The little old ladies who ring you up are way ornery and are kind of slow (lines queue up real quick). And make sure to bring your coupon in from home--the ads they provide do not have the coupons in them. read more

I called into this Michael's looking for a specific holiday item and was greeted by Ana. Ana listened to my request and even though she was apprehensive about having the item in stock, she still looked anyways. While I was on hold for a while, she did return having found my product. Ana said she'd place the item in the hold bin and I could pick it up later in the evening. That's just what Ana did. I arrived to this Michaels' location and found parking pretty easily towards the back of the lot. The line here may seem long but they move quick. I had a mobile coupon that wouldn't scan so the cashier opened her drawer of coupons and found a printed copy she could use. A++ in my book. Although this store doesn't have as most as other Michael's stores do, this is a great stop to get most of your arts and crafts. I've come to this store for many years now. I don't really think too much of it when visiting, but today I decided to write a review because the amazing customer service I got. I was trying to return my items and it was a big mess. I couldn't find my receipt and for some reason the purchases werent showing up on my card. Keenan (I think thats his name) was EXTREMELY patient. I ran out to my car and still couldn't find the receipt. When I returned he ended up giving me store credit. As I was beginning to drive away, I found the receipt tucked on the side of my seat and center console. I ran back in side and Keenan was more than willing to help me again. He was kind and made sure I was able to get my full refund. I brought in a photo of the frames in my boss's house and needed something to match. She immediately knew which would work best and recommended acrylic "glass" over real glass. Today around 12 pm. I wanted to know if there was more of an item in stock and could not find a salesperson to help me. I ended up going to the frames desk and the man on the phone asked one of the women in that department to help me. One of them reluctantly walked up and basically rolled her eyes at me very rudely. Then I asked nicely if there was someone who could help me and she, without saying a word to me, picked up the intercom and announced that a salesperson was needed near the frames. She then walked away without acknowledging me one bit. My new local Michael's stop. I seemed to be one of the many folks grabbing Christmas goodies on a Friday evening. Store is in an older plaza, and the inside was just as old and a bit cluttered, so it wasn't very inviting. I was having trouble finding some Christmas bags, and I couldn't find a worker on the floor, so I asked a staff member who was done ringing up customers, and she happily helped me. I was able to find what I needed, but I feel the other Michaels stores I go to are brightly lit, lots of ample space to walk through, and more comfortable to be in. read more

I was shopping for several frames last night, I knew that the store was closing soon so I was trying to hurry. While I was shoping the same employee kept coming by me and making me get out of his way while he swept the floor, I felt like he was trying to sweep me out of the store. He anounced to me that the store was closing soon, I told him that I was aware of that. Then RIGHT at 9:00 a very rude girl came up to me and said "the store is closed", the way she said it she might as well had said "get out". There's a rude girl there who wears glasses and has curly, mousy brown hair - her attitude was the worst. Upon asking if they had what I needed, she gave me a huffy, eye-rolling attitude and gruffly answered: "Party City". Some people don't need to work in customer service.
