This office felt more like a used car dealership than a legitimate dental practice. I came in for a…read moreroutine cleaning and was told my entire mouth required a deep cleaning due to some gum bleeding. Shortly after, a "care coordinator" came in who was clearly acting as a salesperson rather than a patient advocate. She ran the proposed treatment through my insurance and told me it would cost over $1,000 out of pocket. When I hesitated, she immediately offered a "discount" that magically dropped the price to around $550. If the procedure could be done for $550, it's hard not to question why the initial quote was nearly double--apparently to see if I would accept it. Things felt even more questionable when the dentist was brought back in to reinforce how necessary the treatment was and to discourage me from doing anything less than a full deep cleaning. This came after I was told they would not perform the regular cleaning I had actually scheduled, because it "wouldn't be worth it." To be clear, I do have a few pockets and occasional minor bleeding when flossing, but nothing that hasn't improved in the past with consistent flossing. Based on the experience, I strongly suspect my measurements were exaggerated to justify selling an expensive treatment that may not be necessary at this time. In short, I booked an appointment for a cleaning, was refused that service, and instead subjected to a high-pressure sales pitch.

They are open later on Monday's and Thursdays which works great with my schedule, and they offer laughing gas or extra numbing if you are nervous about an upcoming procedure. The only issue I have is that near the time of an upcoming appointment they bombard you with reminder texts, and confirmation emails. Even after I reply that Yes, I am still coming, they send even more reminders. It's a bit crazy but I guess they really want to make sure you show up! I was sitting down having an initial exam before my teeth cleaning the hygienist started probing my mouth and accidentally poke me in the gum I said hey that hurt can you be a little more careful? She said I am sorry and then told me I'll tell you what I can give you two options? One you can let me do the exam now or two I well clean your teeth and then do the exam after. I thought that was a strange question to ask but I said, okay, go ahead and clean my teeth. She responded okay because you want me to clean your teeth I'm going to go ahead and reschedule in two parts for deep cleaning, I was thinking to myself what are you seriously you are retaliating on me because I had asked her to be more careful and if I had not said anything or chose option one she would have finished the exam and clean my teeth and it would have been done. I saw this as a clear abuse of authority and a power move as I was not going to just sit there and be bullied, I got up from the chair and told the hygienist that I am leaving and will not be coming back obviously as it was clear why and I walked out. It's important to note that I get my teeth cleaned regularly and do not have any swollen bleeding gums or any issues, She just poked me in my gum by mistake and I said something and she didn't like me correcting her.
